Hello there, I am looking for a new housemate to rent a new place as the owner is selling our place, and my housemate of the last 2 years has been offered a room with a co-worker, close to his job. The chances for a successful application are much higher for two people. I have household furniture, a gym, a home theatre, and can supply a bed and desk if you need one. I have shared a house with lots of people over my time and not had any falling outs, and I still keep in touch with some of them from years ago.
I was born and grew up on the East Coast, left home at 19 to work and have spent most of my time after that living with other people of ages and backgrounds, I moved to Perth 12 or so years ago for a mining job eventually leaving that job after buying a house, I spent 5 years in my house before the lose of my job and then Covid, left no choice but to sell in a bad market. I have been employed in the same job at secondhand job for over 7 years now. I enjoy games, writing, movies, educating myself, tinkering in my workshop, 3d design and printing, and going out to hang out with friends. I may be 50, but no one guesses that when I meet them, 38 is the average guess, so don't let the age thing throw you, I always try to get to know my housemates, but also give them space when they need it, and I'm happy to help when I can.
I am working towards getting back in shape, and have a gym setup at home. I don't smoke or do drugs, and rarely drink, but have no problem with what others do as long as they are respectful of others' surroundings. If you're interested or have any questions, feel free to ask.
