I am a 50-year-old woman who is currently unemployed but pursuing studies, I was a hairdresser for 30 years and left to pursue a new career. So I’m studying a science degree in Neuroscience and Biochemistry. I know so different to hairdressing…

I was working and studying until an illness damaged my brain so at the moment I’m living off my income protection and living a quiet life for the brain inflammation to ease. Crazy that I am studying neuroscience and ended up with a brain injury?? I’m hoping one day with my studies and lived experience I will do something amazing to help people in the world of neuroscience.

I enjoy spending my time gardening, cooking, and swimming at the beach, I am an astrologer for the past 22 years so I’m interested in following the stars and talking with people about it. My house always has a clean and welcoming vibe. I don't have kids, but I do have pets that keep me company. I have a 9 years old rescue Maltese called Bo. He is house/apartment trained and goes with me wherever I go. I don’t leave him at home alone. Bo is always up for adding new people to his pack & meeting new people. Unfortunately he does have little dog syndrome so he does get a bit yappy at big dogs.

I also have 3 chickens Edna, Betty & Mrs McGregor who are friendly and love cuddles. They are great layers so there’s always plenty to share. They live in an enclosed coup and I scoop their poops each day to keep them and my home clean. I only supply food they will eat in a day to also stay tidy. Ideally I’m hoping they can come with me (because they bring the joy) however I know not everyone loves chickens in their backyard so the chickens do have a home with my previous landlord’s if they can’t come with me.

I moved to Camden to be close to my Mum who is now 80 and lives at Carrington in Grasmere. Bo was Mums dog and he came to me when she moved so he could stay in the family.

Before Camden I lived in Bondi for 12 years, spent 2 years homeless but pet sitting all over Sydney for accommodation. It was amazing! I met some beautiful people and their pets. I love animals. That was before Bo and the chooks though.

I like to settle long term when I find a home, my previous home was a granny flat in Camden South for 4 years. My landlords needed the GF for their daughter so that’s why I’m now looking for a new home. I have always received my full bond back and have great references.
