I'm a retired Registered Nurse and ex defence Navy WRAN looking for a peaceful place to stay ground level - no stairs, with my 13 year old Shitzu cross king Charles Cavalier spaniel Dakota, who is very spoilt and overweight due to back injury. Dakota is quiet and and sleeps about 20 hours a day.

I read, watch movies, and like going to the beach. I like to play board games and do cross words. I love to visit my 2 grown up children when they are not working for a BBQ or fish and chips.

I currently live on acreage in the middle of nowhere near Dayboro in a huge 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom home, having rented for 9 and a half years and now the property is too big by myself (separated 17 months ago and love my independence again) and I need to downsize and get closer to civilisation or maybe a seachange, where I don't have to worry about mowing or spraying weeds all the time.

Having met and lived with a whole range of different personalities in the Navy and as a nurse, I appreciate the uniqueness of each and every person. It all boils down to treat others the way you like to be treated.

I like to be organised, prepared, and tidy because you never know what's in store for the day, either a power outage or another cyclone, so I'm a bit of a prepper and have my own powerstation to run a fan for Dakota and never want to go 6 days without a coffee ever again.

I always pay rent on time and have excellent references.

I'm probably great to live with if you want peace and quiet and to be left alone, but people who think you should be invisible in their home makes it uncomfortable, so I hope there's a happy medium like I had in the Navy - and no I don't drink like a sailor and only keep in touch with a couple of friends through FB.

I don't want to be your mother, cook, best friend, or view to a relationship, or take over your nest, I just want somewhere to stay and feel welcome. I won't tell you my problems if you don't tell me yours. Life is what you make it.

I am from Toowoomba originally and lived down here in the Moreton bay region since 1993 and worked in hospitals, boys prisons, and nursing homes.
