Hi, I’m James and I’m a full time primary school teacher. I moved here from the UK a couple of years ago and am loving it in Australia. I’m generally a pretty easy going person with a good sense of humour. I mostly keep myself to myself but I won’t say no to having a friendly chat (both small talk and deep conversations are welcome). I’m pretty tidy and happy to help out with house chores (mowing the grass, doing the dishes, cleaning, ironing etc).

I enjoy working out (usually at the gym) and have recently gotten into a bit of indoor rock climbing. I also do a pub quiz at the Penn most Wednesdays (but I won’t pretend I’m particularly good - TV and Film is my best round most weeks). Beyond this I enjoy reading (during the school holidays), watching films/TV, going to beach for a swim (the novelty beaches has not worn off yet!) and of course spending time with my son.

Currently, I live with my 7 year old son and his mum (and am here on her visa). His mum and I have decided to part ways which is why I am looking for somewhere to rent (cash in hand) until I can get permanent residency hopefully next year. I will share custody of my son and will make arrangements that suit the preferences of the other flatmates.
