Hi there,
I’m Carina, 23 years old, and from July onwards I’ll be an international student at UniSC for my semester abroad. Back home in Germany, I study Intercultural Studies and Management, and I’m currently looking for accommodation (4 to 5 months) for my stay in Australia.
I’ve already lived in a shared flat in Germany for one and a half years and became best friends with my flatmates. Even though I don’t expect that to happen again, I really value a peaceful, respectful, and harmonious living environment. I can be a bit of an overthinker and people pleaser sometimes, but that also means that I care a lot about other people’s needs and appreciate open and honest communication. At the same time, I also value privacy and personal space and always try to respect that for everyone.
A little bit more about myself: I love cooking and baking, so it would definitely help if you enjoy sourdough bread and cinnamon rolls. Also, I’ve been vegetarian for over 15 years and enjoy spending time together over food, but I’m also completely happy if we simply share a flat and everyone does their own thing. However, since I do like to spend time in the kitchen, I really appreciate tidiness, at least there.
Other things I enjoy are reading, hiking, gardening, exploring nature, or just having a calm walk at the beach. I do go out to parties occasionally, but most of the time I really enjoy quieter everyday life. Also, I strongly believe in the number one rule of house parties: never be the host.
Things I don’t like are racist, disrespectful, or nationalist behaviour … and spiders.
If you’d like to get to know me better, I’d really love to hear from you.
Hopefully talk soon,
Carina
