Professional, respectful and easy-going British-Australian currently based in Balgowlah. I work full-time in patient services for a global fertility solutions company, with a hybrid arrangement that sees me working Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, from home most of the week and from the CBD office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
I’m a clean, tidy and considerate housemate who values a calm, comfortable home environment. I’m quite independent and self-sufficient, so I’m not someone who is constantly underfoot or reliant on housemates for company, but I’m always friendly, approachable and happy to share a chat, meal or drink when the opportunity arises.
I’m in my late 40s, but I’m young at heart, easy to get along with and generally find I connect well with people across a range of ages and backgrounds. I enjoy catching up with friends or unwinding with a good TV series or movie at home. Most of my social life takes place outside the home. I’m not looking to host regular gatherings myself, though I’m completely comfortable living in a social household and happy to join in when invited or give others their space when they’re entertaining.
A unique aspect of my situation is that I regularly help care for two dogs and two cats that I share responsibility for with my former partner, who works as international cabin crew. This means I sometimes spend a few days at their home when they’re away, which often results in me being out of my own home for short periods throughout the month. The pets would remain at their home and would not be living at the home I’d be sharing.
I’ve lived in Australia since 2005 and became an Australian citizen in 2009. I’m looking for a place in or close to Balgowlah (where the pets are based) that can serve as a comfortable, long-term base, and I’m hoping to find housemates who appreciate mutual respect, open communication and a relaxed, drama-free living environment.
