Very cute cottage/granny flat situated in my back yard. There is a locked side gate as well as deadlock to cottage which makes it very safe and secure. The cottage bathroom doubles as the laundry and is a shared space except that I won’t be using the shower or toilet, only the washing machine and a couple of shelves in the cupboard.
Cottage is walking distance to popular View St and a 20 minute walk to the hospital. Situated between High St and Barnard St with bus stops along both. Plenty of free on-street parking.
Cottage has a split-system air-conditioner as well as an extra heater and ceiling fans. Bathroom/laundry has heat lamps.
Cottage comes fully furnished and with numerous cooking gadgets: microwave; air-fryer/toaster oven; sandwich press; slow-cooker; portable induction hob; Nespresso pod machine as well as kettle, toaster and a fridge/freezer. *There is no conventional oven or stove top*. There is a kitchen table which could double as a desk.
There is also a tv screen and a Chromecast for streaming from your device. *No aerial for normal tv.*
I work full-time but do potter in the garden quite a bit when I am home and there will be the noise of a lawnmower every 1-3 weeks.
The cottage is rather small so really not an option for those looking for permanent/long-term accommodation unless you are going back to Melbourne for weekends and just want your own space while working or studying here during the week.
