Walking distance to shops (2 mins), beach (5 mins), library (10 mins) and tram (1 min), Albert Park is one of the best places to live in Melbourne. Our house is old but the rent reflects that. The location is probably it's best selling point. It has no cooling or heating facilities. The place is neat, tidy and with a very relaxed environment. It would suit a tenant to be happy with some level of compromise in terms of living standard, who is looking to save some money but still maximise its location. Summer in the area is awesome. I have two permanent dogs, Dutchy (French Bulldog) and Hodor (Dogue De Bordeaux - the dog from the movie 'Turner and Hooch') who are both rescue dogs and beyond friendly. I'm owned by my hounds I'm clean & tidy, but not OCD clean freak type. I work in Recruitment. I'm allergic to dogs though so I have a robot vacuum the runs every day, an air purifier and scented candle melts, aromatherapy vaporisers going all day to ensure the house doesn't smell like 'dog' (people always comment how nice the house smells). I have a robovac and a brand new Dyson stick vacuum downstairs, plus a top of the range Bissell Pet cross-wave vacuum/mop. Upstairs I have a special turbo head vacuum and a $1000 carpet steam cleaner. Plus all the formulas required. While we have dogs I don't like the house to smell like dog. It is important to me that while we have dogs, we don’t have one of those gross, dirty, stinky dog houses. The dogs are also bathed weekly. I tend to keep to myself after work when I am zapped after work and I have a TV in my room so I can chill. The other housemate is a lovely guy called Patrick who is 32 - he only moved in recently, works Monday to Friday and is very respectful. He is social and out and about a bit. We are both up for a casual wine together or a household trivia night. We are only seeking new housemate/s as the couple who currently live in the room fell pregnant which is very exciting for them so have returned to the UK. They have been gone 39 hours and we have already Skyped twice - we give each other space, but do become a big family. We all like our alone time, yet we are all really close and have a lot of fun together. NOT A CRAZY PARTY HOUSE! If have a big one and obnoxiously roll in with a few mates at 3am on a Friday night every now and again, that’s cool. Do that during the week or consistently, we are not the right home for you. MUST LOVE DOGS!!! Dutchy and Hodor are not intrusive dogs at all, they DON'T chew things up, make a mess. They mostly just sleep/snore and follow Clare around wherever she goes. They sleep in Clare's room and are indoor dogs with outdoor access. Both Dutchy and Hodor love pats cuddles from anyone offering though. Hodor is scary looking but he is just a big smoocher and loved by all. THIS IS A HOUSE FOR CLEAN DOG LOVERS!!! We currently also have a pug puppy called Murphy who is super cute and makes us all laugh every day. Unfortunately, Murphy has a terminal liver shunt (his liver doesn’t filter his blood at all.) We were told he has one week to live....7 months ago!! He seems to be showing no signs of slowing down despite his prognosis. He gives amazing snuggles and provides endless amusement. It is a really great house in a fantastic spot. If you are a dog lover you also get all the perks and none of the responsibility!
It's on the corner of the apartment block so the place gets a lot of sun for an apartment, your room has a window. It has NBN. There's a bar down stairs. Definitely looking for either a gamer, a musician, or someone that works in the creative/tech industry (or just someone that likes Harry Potter) so we can actually hold a conversation without it being awkward.
