The house is located behind Darby Street near Parkway Avenue. It is a 5 min walk to Bar Beach, 2 min walk to Centennial Park and Lowlands Bowling Club. It is a short drive or 10-15 min walk to The Junction (Coles), Market Town (Woolworths) and Aldi on Union St. There is lots of on-street parking available outside the house and surrounding streets during busy times. I use the one car garage. There is room for general box storage and bike storage in the garage also. The downstairs living space- is an open plan with lounge, dining, kitchen, laundry, second toilet with own sink, back door entrance onto grassed and paved garden/yard with outdoor washing line, also front entrance has a small garden and verandah. It’s a two bedroom terrace and you’d be living with myself (26 year old female who works full time) and a small ragdoll cat named Fern. The bedroom for rent is large and has a built in cupboard (no hanging space). The house has a cute lounge, dining room, renovated kitchen and a cute backyard perfect for a wine and a cheese platter. It’s walking distance to Bar Beach, Harris Farm and Darby St (literally two seconds). House is completely furnished and has wifi, Netflix and Apple TV. I also have an electric piano. The bedroom for rent does not have a bed (old picture) but can include a bed side table if you’d like.
Great place in a great location! We have a communal smart tv with netflix/stan/youtube, good wifi, aircon in the living room, as well as a dishwasher and washer / dryer, and just about every kitchen appliance you could think of. The shared bathroom has a decent sized bath and the shower has awesome pressure. We've got a balcony overlooking Darby street and a bbq/ grassy picnic area in the courtyard of the building. The location is super central to everything (gym, shops, restaurants/cafes/bars) and walking distance to the beach. There's also secured parking in the basement available at no additional cost, but there is ample parking on the back street of the building. The room itself is fairly cozy but is carpeted, has an inbuilt wardrobe with mirror doors, 2 small shelves and a window (not furnished). Ideally, we'd love to get someone who is pretty chilled out but can get loose, cleans up after themselves (but doesn't freak out over clutter during the weekend), and would be keen to join in on our nights out/activities/dinners. Listen the the beach while you fall asleep. We are vacating before the end of the lease and would like for someone to take over and continue the lease. Will require change of lease/signing a new lease, but for only the duration for the rest of ours (3rd of March, 2020). After then, you can stay for as long as you like.
