The house is spacious and open, with high ceilings, a modern kitchen, decent bathrooms (one has a bath tub) and a moderate sized back yard. There is off street parking and reasonable onstreet parking around. The bedroom on offer does not have a cupboard but it’s a big bedroom and the house has lots of storage so it’s not really an issue.

We are moving on from our beautiful 4 bedroom apartment on Nesca Parade (has been a long stay for some of us!). It very much has more of a house feel, touting an enormous balcony that once made the paper in the 70's for being Newcastles biggest balcony. We paid $165 each, at 660 p/w for the whole property. We are essentially looking to pass our lease onto others (our landlord is happy with this - private rental). Incredible views of Newcastle (can even steal a glimpse at the beach). We are hoping to move on ASAP as we are looking at a place with a fifth bedroom for another friend. This place is ideal for students or young working people. The generous balcony and view make it ideal for hosting small gatherings. You won't miss any sunsets either as your preparing dinner or washing up! In addition, lovely neighbours upstairs. I've got a 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor (3 flights of stairs keep you fit!), with the balcony view overlooking the park. Darby St., the beaches and CBD are within a 15 minute walk. The bedroom is furnished with a double bed and has a built in mirrored wardrobe. The flat is furnished, however if you've got some favourite furniture, we can figure out where to put it. The kitchen has a dishwasher and new appliances. I'm a working professional (9-5 ish) who is fairly active and enjoys cooking, being active, music, red wine and am looking for someone like-minded to share the space with and the occasional meal. Being on the top floor there's 3 flights of stairs to climb, but the views are worth it! There's a few visitor parking spots within the complex or parking on the street. No smokers.
A great, recently renovated apartment in the heart of Newcastle. Walking distance to the University of Newcastle city campus, Darby Street and public transport. Living room and kitchen fully furnished with my furniture etc except for a TV. Shared laundry although I do not have a washing machine, but I am of course open to someone bringing one. Available bedroom: - Ceiling fan; - Built-in wardrobe; and - Reasonable size (fits a queen bed a large dresser with space to move).
ABOUT THE HOUSE The house is located in the heart of Cooks Hill. Free standing with a beautiful back deck and small yard. The house itself has 3 bedrooms and two bathrooms. The second bathroom (which we don't use) is attached to the laundry and we are happy to let you have exclusive use of this if you preferred. Location wise, you will be hard-pressed to find better! Welsh Blacks for your caffeine fix is 150 metres away with the Commonwealth, Oriental and Cricketers Arms hotels all within 500 metres. Aldi is one street over and Marketown a couple of blocks. In the other direction, you have Darby Street and all its offerings while the beach is a comfortable 10 minute walk or 3 minute drive. We absolutely love the location and the lifestyle it brings. On-street parking only which can be tricky at times. But there is usually always parking around the corner on Parry St and in all honesty, with this location, you don't really need to use a car too much outside of a work commute. The house is fully furnished apart from the room. ABOUT THE ROOM The room itself is a decent size. It currently has a double bed in it, but that can be removed if you have your own. There are no built-ins in the room either but nothing a quicksearch or visit to Storage World won't be able to fix. With the double bed in the room at the moment there is still plenty of space and would easily fit a queen size bed with room for a bedside table, clothes storage etc. As mentioned before there are two bathrooms and the second one we don't use so if you wanted your own bathroom, that can be arranged. COST Rent is $240 per week - this includes all bills (water, gas, electricity, unlimited NBN internet, Netflix in the lounge room and the lawn mown as needed). A bond of 2 weeks is also needed. We don't have a cleaner at the moment as we keep the place pretty clean, but happy to discuss getting one if it makes things easier for all. Our preference is for someone looking to stay 3 months but happy to discuss this for the right person.
We are one street back from Darby street cafes pubs and restaurants. The living room has glass doors that open up into a big outdoor entertaining area and let's lots of sun in during the day. The library and UoN campus is a 2 minute walk from our doorstep also great for students.
