If you're into the outdoors and exercising there are a number of excellent hiking/biking trails in the Samford Conservation Park just up the street. Both the Ferny Grove Train Station and Kmart Shopping Plaza are just a few minutes drive away; and if you don't drive there is a nearby bus stop that goes to both.
