I'm leaving to move in with my friends so I'm looking for someone to take over my room. The room is UNFURNISHED, medium sized with a built-in robe. I currently have adouble bed, bedside table, tallboy and small desk with chair, which all can fit comfortably. The previous person who lived here had a queen bed and huge shelves and also fit quite well. Communal areas are fully furnished but feel free to add stuff as you please. Very short walk to Deakin University. 3 minutes walk going to bus stop going to Box Hill Station, and Burwood Highway. And 12 minutes walk going to tram going straight to the city. You'll be in the back room so no noise coming from the street. You will also have your own bathroom. You'll be sharing the communal areas with 2 ladies whose rooms are in the other side of the house so you can have privacy. The kitchen is fully equipped with gas stove, oven, twin sink, microwave, and dishwasher. The other 2 housemates are students in their 20's. They ideally want to live with another student, but open for the right person, but has to be female. I am moving out 27-June. Dates are a bit flexible.
I'm looking for someone to take my place on my lease in Burwood, at a lovely, bright, modern townhouse on Warrigal Rd, very close to Deakin Uni and with a whole heap of public transport options for wherever you might need to be going. All household furniture (apart from the plants and board games) belongs to the other housemates, so you just need to bring things for your bedroom! There's an inflatable mattress you can borrow if you need some time getting organised. The room is large enough to easily fit a double+ bed and a desk, as I have, with a BIR and heater. I put up some (removable) privacy stickers from Bunnings on the lower half of the window since I was at my desk a bunch, but the neighbours usually keep their blinds closed anyway :P The kitchen has fancy Miele appliances and a heap of storage space, and the double garage downstairs is currently available for any vehicle/s you might have. Despite being on a very major road, it's not too noisy unless windows are open, and it also means that there's a lot of options for public transport. Speaking of which... PUBLIC TRANSPORT Bus: A stop for the 903 is about 10m away (next door, or directly across the road), which takes you easily to Chadstone, Holmesglen, Box Hill, or all the way to Altona if you're into that. Comes very regularly during the week, but not as much on weekends. Tram: Burwood Highway is a 10 minute walk up the road, with the 75 every 10ish mins to either the city or to Deakin Uni (takes 5mins, or a 35min walk!) Train: The bus can take you to Holmesglen in under 10 minutes, or to Box Hill in 20. Also walking distance (16mins) to Burwood station. RENT INFO The lease is for just under 9 months (ending Feb 14), with the option to renew. Rent is $200/wk (Monthly: $848.58) Bond: $869 (split evenly between us) Internet is $20/month each, and bills thus far have been pretty low - $50 each for the quarter for water and electricity.
