Hey All! We are looking to fill a room in our house from late-July till the end of time (jk December). This coincides perfectly with semester 2! The house is part of a duplex in which we live in one half. There are three bedrooms, a laundry room, bathroom, kitchen, and a weird bit where we just put our bikes and have a PS2 with vintage TV. The house is not large but comfortably fits three personalities. It's kind of more like a flat with a backyard (in which we burn our study notes to appease the gods and goddesses of misery, essays and hellfire). The house comes fully furnished, with notable examples such as, the fridge and other such things to do stuff with. The house also has heating so we are not reliving Robert Falcon Scott's fateful Antarctic expedition of 1912. Since deciding to abandon us, our housemate has kindly gifted her double bed, space heater, desk and draws for a price, and the room has an inbuilt cupboard. The room is small/medium in size but has beautiful views of my parked car in the driveway - which by the way fits two-three cars. Although there is also heaps of street parking. The best thing about this house is the location. We live in Turner which is super close to the city and ANU. Legit, its like a 10 minute walk to uni/ 3 minute ride on those wheely bois. Plus there is a bus stop nearby in case you need to venture beyond. Down the road is the O'Connor shops which is decked out with a couple of cafes, an IGA, a post office, and a slightly overpriced pub (but they do trivia so I guess it's ok). The rent is $150 per person per week which I pay fortnightly to our private landlord (i.e. $900 total every two weeks). Water is covered by the landlord but we have to cop the electricity and gas bills. Internet is paid every month and averages to about $20 per person. Up front there is a bond of $500. The neighbourhood is really quiet as we live in suburbia with a lovely mixture of people ranging from families, to students, tradies, and two golden retrievers across the road. House-rules will be explained if you come and visit but we are pretty chill. Mostly simple stuff like cleaning up after yourself and join in on the occasional full house clean. My unit is across the road from Curtin shops. There is a 24 hour gym, Coles, petrol station, pharmacy, doctors, dentists, bottleshop, a couple of coffee shops and take-away shops as well as an organic fruit and veg shop. The unit has recently had both bedrooms and the bathroom completely renovated and made to look more modern and spacious. The room for rent is very big with high ceiling and a lot of natural light. It currently fits a queen size bed and a chest of drawers for clothes. A desk could also fit however I do not have one in there. Since the photos were taken a few shelfs have been added above the bed and a large tall boy has been placed in the room for clothes storage. The lounge-room is very spacious and open. The kitchen is slightly less modern (I will be renovating later in the year). The unit has a bus stop across the road which takes you into directly Barton (15 min bus ride) or the city (25 minutes). Please note I will only accept 3 months (or shorter) leases. I will not be able to provide accommodation for longer than that.

Yours is what would ordinarily be considered a formal dining room. It is located between the lounge room and kitchen. Our previous housemate used it as a study and kept an insanely large desk in there along with bookcases. Use it as a study, your own mini lounge room, a hobby room, a library, whatever you like. Electricity, gas and water are billed every three months where as wifi is monthly ($26.66). Whilst the rent is currently $183.33 per week (paid every two weeks), in August our landlords are raising the rent by $30 so you're portion of the rent will be $193.33 per week. It has been a long time since rent was last raised so we strongly doubt it will be raised again within the next few years. We have been at this house for a year now and wish to sign a new one year lease with the landlords when our current one expires in a few weeks.
