I am an international student in my final year of postgrad medicine and Mily works in hospitality. I’ve been living in this house since Jan 2014. Mily and I are both friendly and pretty quiet and chilled around the house. We like to keep the place neat in communal areas, and split chores equally. A bit about our house! We are renting a brand new two-storey town house in Carlton. Downstairs has a living room with a study space, then we have the kitchen/dining area. There’s the laundry (washing machine), toilet and storage area, and we have a little courtyard out the back with a washing line. Upstairs are the three bedrooms, the bathroom (shower not a bath) and a linen cupboard. The available bedroom is 225x365cm. There's also extra storage space in the linen cupboard immediately outside the bedroom, and there's the option to have a desk/office area downstairs in the living room as it's quite a large space and we don't tend to use it a lot. Our house has really high ceilings and skylights so we get a lot of natural light. The place is fully furnished except for the third bedroom. The landlord is really great – he’s very friendly and we’ve never had a problem with him. Our current third housemate is moving out so the room is available from the 6th of October. Rent is $200 per week ($866.67 per month calculated as 200 x 52 weeks / 12 months) and utility/internet bills are around $70-90 per month per person (we split bills equally). The room is large with private access to a massive deck that’s almost the length of half the house - which would be awesome for parties and bbqs and growing plants and all that. We’re not fussy about who moves in (open to stoners, gays, nerds etc) as long as we all get on then it’s all good 😉 That being said = no dickheads, pretty, pretty please. And no neurotics (unless you’re the fun kind). We just want someone easy who we’re not going to want to kill in the end.
