The kitchen is massive and has a butlers pantry - basically the dream if you’re into cooking. We have a booze trolley and a menagerie of plants if we haven’t already sold it to you! The house has a lovely homely vibe and we’re looking for someone to add to the warm atmosphere. It’s not a party house but we’re down with wines, board game nights, dinner parties and summer spritz’s on the roof terrace (yes you heard right). The room is medium size with polished floor boards, an ornamental fireplace, super high ceilings and a wall of shelves. There’s no built ins but plenty of room for a clothes rack or wardrobe, plus there’s ample built in storage in your own bathroom next to the room. The bathroom is situated next to the bedroom and is newly renovated with your own toilet, shower and sink (the two rooms upstairs share a bathroom). It houses the washing machine but has loads of storage.

Looking for a lovely person to complete our light filled home in dreamy Carlton North as I am relocating to the Bellarine Peninsula. Ideally you will be in your mid to late 20’s working 9-5ish or studying. No couples sorry! The house is ideally located on Macpherson St - directly between Lygon and Rathdowne and just a few streets from Nicholson. It is a 15 minute tram ride straight up Lygon into the city or a super short walk to Princes Park/Ikon Stadium and Carlton Baths. The house is also super close to Rathdowne village which has all the stuff - Post office, convenience store, cafes, health food store, library, restaurants, bars and pubs and lots of parks (and doggos). Rent is $941 per calendar month, and the lease is up again at the beginning of April 2020, but there is the possibility of extending the lease either month by month or signing on again. The double bedroom is upstairs with bathroom adjacent. It has a high ceiling, built in wardrobe, heater and also a separate storage space. There is plenty of room for bedside tables, record player and speakers or drawers/small desk. The room comes unfurnished but there is the option for me to leave behind my super comfy mattress and pallet bed base if required. You will be sharing the house with two females, Dom and Maddy, both in their mid twenties. Dom works full-time at a small architecture firm and Maddy is about to start her masters in Occupational Therapy while also working part-time. Both gals are originally from Tassie and are both super friendly and respectful. Generally in the house we love to wind down after work with a chat over our huge dining table or while cooking dinner. The house is very social, so we’d like someone who appreciates having a nice conversation at the end of the day, making communal dinners or watching films/tv shows together etc. It’s not a party/late night house, so anyone working nights or wanting to bring people home for drinks late during the week shouldn’t apply. Basically we’re all wholesome nanna’s who like our down time and a good cuppa but are also all very busy so are often out in the evenings or have people around for dinner. We do our bit for the planet where possible by composting in our Bokashi bin, using earth-friendly products, shopping bulk and generally being mindful not to waste power/water/food. We have a small but lovely courtyard which comes off the kitchen/dining through double sliding doors and gets ample sunlight (super nice spot to relax in summer). Around the house we stay on top of things pretty organically (as in people just do their bit) by sharing the load of washing up, purchasing household items like washing up liquid and laundry powder, sweeping and mopping etc. However a roster can easily be organised if you’re into that. There is no off-street parking however you can easily apply for a resident parking permit through Yarra city council which is really cheap for 12 months. Bills and unlimited high speed nbn are extra, split 3 ways. We pay $20 each per month for internet and roughly $30 each per month for electricity. This house is so nice! It has 2 bedrooms on each floor, plus a nice courtyard downstairs and a rooftop terrace over looking the city. We have a big kitchen and a large living room with air conditioning and heating. Each room has heating and my room has a split system, plus the bathroom has heated towel racks!
The location is incredible with a quiet spot neatly between fitzroy and brunswick and with carlton north itself offering all sorts of food, pub and cultural offerings. The house is a cute traditional melbourne cottage, on a beautiful road and with easy cycling access to the city or tram if you prefer. The housemates are fun and sociable, into music, pubs, gigs and sometimes just hanging out in the living room chatting. The garden is a good size and a great place to spend days in the spring and summer!
Fantastic apartment located near CBD, tram stops for tram routes 1 and 6 are just in front of the house. Tram route no 96 runs like 300 metres behind the house. Easily accessible for University of Melbourne and RMIT students. I need someone whom I can transfer my lease that runs upto 15th February 2020. I'm looking for a couple/single to share my place in Carlton North and it is available from Saturday 15th of June. $320/week for one person and $380/week for a couple. It's a large 2 bedroom terrace house with a spacious combined kitchen/living area, a little half room which has guitars, small couch and desk suitable which is great for relaxing or whatever you prefer! There is also a nice courtyard that gets plenty of sun out the back. The house and the area: The house is close to the 96 tram (2 mins), Nicholson st Shopping Village (2 mins), North Fitzroy Village (5-10 mins), Rathdowne Village (5-10 mins), Lygon St (10 mins) and about 20 mins walk to Sydney Rd. It's pretty much in the perfect location and also about 20 minutes to the CBD. The house is in a quiet street and there is on-street permit/free 2 hr parking and no problems getting a spot. We have a visitor permit that can be used and discussed if needed.
