Unfurnished room with own bathroom

Curtin, Canberra

Unfurnished room with own bathroom

The house has a very leafy garden with views to Black Mtn to the North…. Two minutes walk to Bus stop: route to Civic is bus 58 (35 minutes) or Bus 58 to Woden (11 minutes); Bike ride to Woden (15mins) to Civic (40mins); or ride and bus is about 30 mins to Civic. Distance from ANU/Civic 7 klm. Great internet access. Garden outlook for the downstairs tenant (double bedroom + large living space as seen in pics) in quite suburb and close to horse paddocks and green belt and plenty of kangaroos. Great for walking and exercise. 5-10 mins walk to local shops with organic vege shop, Coles, Chemist, Post Office, Dr Surgery, Optometrist available. The available space for RENT: downstairs section of the house incorporating: 1 x double bedroom 2.7M x 3.3M + large living area 7.8M x 4.8 M + toilet (downstairs) + private shower/bath (located upstairs). Not furnished (all the furnishing in the photos are leaving) Maybe some lounge chairs available…. Nego. - Laundry is located downstairs, and is a shared space. - Kitchen is located upstairs, and is a shared space. - 2nd upstairs lounge/living area is a shared space as is the dinning room - Shared bills for water, electricity, gas, internet VDSL (faster than NBN here). If applicable, food can be a shared item as well. You would be sharing with my 23 yo son and I; we both live in the upstairs section of the house (your space would be at ground level). Our household has a fairly green outlook and we hold forward-thinking ideas about living on this planet. We are amiable, warm and inviting folk. I am a Pescatarian (I eat fish) but mostly eat vegetarian foods and my son is an omnivore. I produce my own honey; run an annual the music festival each summer; and work at Events for School of Music and Drill Hall Gallery at ANU. I have a Masters in Applied Anthropology (MAAPD ANU); my son has just finished an IT degree at UC and is into programming and gaming. YOUR RENT would be $1140 per month payable on the 7th of each month in advance. (which is $263 a week if worked out over the full year or $285 if you split the month into quarters)

Furnished room granny flat for rent

Recently renovated studio/granny flat attached to house but with separate entrance. The main house is occupied by an adult lady and her mum. They would like to negotiate the rent amount and bills in exchange for some assistance. Eva is a lady in her thirties who would like some assistance with aspects of her disability so that she can be less reliant on her mum. They are flexible and happy to discuss arrangements. Assistance would mostly be nights/early morning. Great opportunity for a mature female happy to lead a quiet life and looking for a commitment of one year or more, to get to know a lovely lady and her friends and family.

Unfurnished room in a share house

We're looking for a new housemate to fill a spot in our 5 bedroom, 2 storey Braddon share house by the end of June. The room has a built-in wardrobe and can comfortably fit a queen/double bed and bookshelf/desk/chest of drawers. It is priced at $180/week (bills excluded). The house is furnished with the usual amenities so you don’t need to bring anything but yourself. However, we’re happy to have new furniture/there’s plenty of storage space to store stuff. We’re in close proximity to Civic and Dickson. You'd be living with 4 young professionals aged between 25-31. We're respectful, clean, very social, and love hanging out as a house whether it be over dinner, watching TV or having parties. Please PM us with a little about yourself if interested :-) Unfortunately, this is no pets household.

Phillip, Canberra

Furnished room in a share house

ABOUT THE PLACE: I have a bedroom available to rent, as part of a two bedroom and one bathroom new unit complex in Phillip – unfortunately street parking only. The bedroom can come furnished, or unfurnished pending your circumstances. The complex is under two years old, has a pool and a great gym that you would have access to. You would be within walking distance there are several café’s, bars, restaurants and a major shopping centre. My apartment is filled with all the essentials and connected to NBN. As part of the rent, I will cover all the bills. ABOUT ME: I am an over achiever and do everything all at once. I am in health care and predominantly work Monday – Friday 9 – 5; however, often pick up extra work and stay back late at night. I have an active life style, a rather busy social life and travel regularly; so I will be in and out of home quite regularly. CHARACTER REFERENCES: “Kell is a smart, sensible and charismatic young man with the best manners. His mother had raised him well. The only down fall is that he won’t be the father of my grandchildren”. – S Burton, 2015 “What a mess. Last night, he drank two bottles of Passionpop to himself, then decided it was a good idea to do “flammable fire shots” at the house party. Then he got kicked out of Knights Bridge. I don’t where the wig came from… and I don’t know how he ended up in my bed”. – N Latham, 2018 “He is keen as mustard – too enthusiastic for his own good. Sometimes Kell would benefit from slowing down and taking a breath when talking to others”. – Mrs Pengelly-Hope, 1994 “Kell is f**king psycho. Definitely avoid him – he is the craziest motherf**ker around. I cant confirm that he keyed my car, by I am 99% sure it was him”. – My ex-boyfriend, 2013 WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR: I am seeking someone who runs a similar paced lifestyle to me. Sustaining a balance of a home, but also having our own space time to time. Working in shift work is suitable as I am familiar with the routines of shifts (or lack there of). Someone who is driven, active and also gets out of the house. I am open to someone who is after a short term place to stay, or looking for a longer term accommodation. WHAT I NEED: Please reach out and contact me with a bit about yourself, career and lifestyle with three to four character references of what someone would say about you.

Weston, Canberra

Furnished room in a share house

This is a super quiet and peaceful little cottage in the well established part of Weston. Recent renovations give the house a clean and fresh feel, stylishly furnished, there are all the comforts that make a house feel lived in and homely. Looking for an active housemate, non shift worker, non drinker/non smoker to share my home. I'm a professional with my own consultancy business and mostly work from home, though do also travel quite a lot a times. I enjoy getting out and making the most of this beautiful environment, so do a lot of hiking, a bit of cycling, and kayaking in the summer. Evenings are often spent in as I'm quite often working and making up for the hours I've spent pursuing other interests during the day. I enjoy going to the movies or catching up with friends usually a few evenings a week. TV is not a focal point for me, and it is strictly a pet-free/smoke-free household. If you love gardening that would be considered an absolute bonus! Your bedroom has a super comfortable bed with 4 large storage drawers, a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside tables/LED lamp, and a desk. The bathroom is shared, we just consider the others routine preferences and there aren’t any issues. Considerate, respectful housemates - life doesn't need to be complicated unless you make it so ;-) The house is insulated brick with solar power, generating around 75% of household usage, and rainwater tanks plumbed into whole of house cut down on water usage. Great airflow throughout, air conditioning only used during heatwaves if at all. The lovely back veranda area, complete with a hammock, is so peaceful for a snooze or quiet read. The deck is perfect for alfresco dining also. Lots of bird life in the back garden which add to the peaceful ambiance. 5 mins walk to bus stop, 10 mins walk to Coolaman Court shops, restaurants and other facilities. Westfield Woden just 3 km away, so walking distance or an easy bus ride. Canberra Hospital 4 km, ANU 8 km, CBD 8 km. Easy access to main arterial road network and bike ways. There is lockable storage for your bicycle or kayak. Outdoor pets may be considered.
