This older house is extremely close to shops and transport into the city. You can be in the city via public transport in around 15 to 20 mins. Shops are 1 minute up the road and Birkenhead point shopping centre a 10 minute walk from the house. House has all basic amenities like internet, washing machine, iron and board, tv, all kitchen appliances etc so you wont need to bring anything other that what you need for your room. Sorry but there is no extra room for any sofas tables etc that you may have. Room size is small to medium and is able to fit a queen size bed and a wardrobe and still have some space to move about. All rooms in the house are the same size. I am looking for an employed person who is reliable, non smoking and is actually VERY clean and dosent just say they are. Contributing to house work is a must. I am looking for some one to move in around mid to late may. (Sorry haven't got an exact date yet) I do have a cat named Cat Stevens and she is very friendly.
This apartment is fabulous. I rented in this block many years ago before buying this very unit I want to buy when I was renting 16 years earlier. It has water views from every window and is right on the water front with an inground pool. The other residents are fiendly and caring. It's a modern, chilled out space, 15 minutes by bus from the CBD but not as busy as many surrounding suburbs. For me it's the perfect compromise between easy access to the city and affordable space wheres it's not so hectic as somewhere like Strathfield or Conchord
Our previous flatmate went skydiving last weekend, as such we have a medium sized third bedroom available. The living room has Harbour Bridge views and you don’t even need to sit in the corner and twist your neck very much to see it. A stone’s throw from the ferry (if you’re Ricky Ponting) and a 2 minute sprint to the bus stop or the pub (if you’re late to work or really thirsty). I’ve been in this property for a few months, now and am really loving it! I’ve really taken the time to pick a great place to call home am quite happy I did. I’ve furnished it quite well, and yet have allowed for someone to bring their own creativity to the place Quite happy to share my home with someone… Some highlights from living here for a bit: 1. Proximity to water! The shore is a 2 min walk and there’s heaps of great waterside walks to get out and about… 2. Property has been renovated since the last tenancy and is absolutely new - kitchen, bathroom, carpeting, paint work, etc. It really does have that new apartment feel to it! 3. House is mostly furnished, 40" LCD (netflix, no foxtel), big comfy leather couch and more, new fridge, gas heater for the winter, internal laundry though no dryer at the moment. You'll be sharing with 1 male (me), 1 male (Aaron), and 1 female (Nicole). Bills are split 4 ways, internet is free through my employer, NBN should arrive in April: -Gas/electricity/water - I don't chase up people after they leave, I split the bill between the people that are currently there when it arrives. -Cleaner every other week for the common areas (~$70 total) -Yard work every other month (~$70) -Netflix The rooms that are open measure 3.2m/3.2m and 4m/3m. They are mostly unfurnished with a ceiling fan and light though the occupants moving out are keen to sell their wardrobes. House currently has 2 males, looking to add females or LGBTQ to maintain diversity. Pretty close to a number of parks. Dawn Fraser Pool is a short walk if you're keen for a swim. The Bay Run is nearby if you enjoy walking/running. Street parking is pretty easy, it isn't usually packed and no permit is needed. Heaps of pubs/cafes 1 block away on Darling. Can't hear them at the house at all though. If (like me) you don't have a car the bus stops on Darling (1 block away) and takes you right to CBD! I'm from the US, grew up in upstate New York and more recently lived for a while in the San Francisco Bay area of California. I enjoy movies, music, some light gardening, yoga, computers/tech/gadgets, I miss my motorcycle back in the US, and I love to travel to warm places for scuba diving. I'm a relatively relaxed individual with liberal mindset and I'd prefer to live with other relaxed progressive types. I have an extensive tea collection and love sharing it (help yourself). I have a puppy named Cosmo (2.5 years old at the moment) he is an alaskan klee kai (essentially a miniature husky, so he will remain small). No obligations on your part and he keeps pretty quiet but does bark when somebody comes to the door. He has graduated from puppy preschool so he isn't rampaging around the house. Cosmo is a bit cautious of new people but warms up within 5-10 minutes especially when treats are involved. You'd be welcome to play with him. Unfortunately my lease states that I can't have any other pets aside from "1 alaskan klee kai dog" so I won't respond if you want to bring another pet (it isn't up to me!). Compatibility: Definitely not a party house, I have friends over for cards (against humanity) a few times a year. I had a small group over for Game of Thrones night every Monday evening with wine/salami/cheese/wine/tea/etc, but there are many more months until the next season starts :( I enjoy guests as long as they aren't live-in. Ideally you would prefer dinner parties over toga parties. I prefer liberal/progressive type people who aren't regularly stressed out. Bonus points if we share similar hobbies though not required. As an expat I'd like to make some new friends but also have my own space and quiet time. Not looking for couples or those interested in room sharing. Looking for somebody between 25-35. I enjoy and welcome diversity and probably wouldn't do well with those that do not.

We love cooking and are happy to share our creations. We are both extremely clean (no shoes in the house, pack away your dishes etc), so would need someone who appreciates a super clean environment.
