We have a large room in a huge Victorian house available for a sociable non-smoker who likes their space. The bedroom is the one in the picture, but comes unfurnished. That said, there is some spare furniture in the house that you can use and you can use the queen bed from the spare room while you get settled. You'll be sharing with 2 males and 1 female. The house has 4 bedrooms + guest room, 2 living spaces, 2 dining spaces, 3 bathrooms, a modern kitchen and a good sized deck with BBQ. We're close to buses, Lewisham train station and Waratah Mills light rail station. We're also close to Dulwich Hill shops, about 3km from Newtown and a short walk to Marrickville. Cycling into the city takes around 20-25 minutes. The rent is $260 per week + $40 for bills = $300 per week including bills. Bills include electricity, gas, unlimited internet and a cleaner every 2 weeks. We may be ok with a dog if you come with one, depending on breed, but not a cat sorry. We have 2 pet chickens. I am a 33 year old Aussie and I work as a full time artist creating largest sculptures and art installations in my art studio, and am also an art teacher. I am looking for a female housemate between 30-40years old that is friendly, honest, kind, clean and tidy, responsible and respectful, has an active lifestyle and a full time job. Close to Ashfield/Summer Hill: room is partially furnished with new matress and bedframe. It can be removed for your own furniture. The unit was built in the 60's with modern kitchen and floorboards throughout (except kitchen & bathroom). Also I have washing machine and dryer. I've been here for around 6 years. Why I love it? Because it feels like home. I can come home to quietness, be in a safe neighbourhood, great neighbours, and amongst nature and not in a city of concrete and 24/7 noise. The place is close to shops, restaurants, local supermarket, newsagent and post pffice. Also close to all public transports.
Summer Hill is the next suburb to Ashfield (closer to the city). I've been here for around 6 years. Why I love it? Because it feels like home. I can come home to quietness, be in a safe neighbourhood, great neighbours, and amongst nature and not in a city of concrete and 24/7 noise. The place is homely with a medium sized modern gas kitchen / a comfy loungeroom (with tv & tropical fresh water fish tank) which leads to the sun room that is set up like a small garden with a mini water fountain. A 5 minute walk to the shops including IGA, small cafes, bars, eateries, post office, gym to name a few of many nice shops. Summer Hill train station is located in the same area which you can get to the city in 15 minutes. There is a nice shy cat that lives in the unit.
