This apartment is located with the BEST view in Melbourne. Located a literal stones throw away from the beach, there is one unfurnished room and one with a bed and a set of draws. The apartment also has roof access, from which you can see the city. This heritage building was scheduled for demolition in September, but has since been delayed to at least end of Feb 2018. Which means it wouldn't be a long term place to stay, but it definitely would make for an amazing summer experience. I do also have a friendly cat, so that is something to consider.
Who doesn't want to be close to the beach in summer right!! I am the owner of the apartment and I love it down here. 300m walk to the beach at one end and 300m walk to Ormond Road village which has an amazing selection of bars and restaurants along with some great takeaway options. The apartment itself is on the ground floor in a quiet block with 12 other apartments. Included in the rent is Foxtel (sport and entertainment package), water and unlimited internet. You also get a parking permit for your car so you can park on either side of the road. Parking is restricted during summer so a permit is a hot ticket! The apartment has a coin operated washing machine and dryer (great in winter) however I have my own washing machine which makes things nice and easy. We also have 2 washing lines out the back for easy use when the weather allows. The bedroom is a good size and includes a free standing wardrobe with built in drawers. Full disclosure on a couple of things. My Mum does come over from NZ from time to time and stays so you'd need to be cool with that. She's pretty hilarious and becomes the in house cleaner when she's here which is awesome!! Also I am moving to London at the end of May so you are welcome to be here short term or you can take on the house via lease through my property manager after this. The spacious bedroom is furnished with a double/queen bed and has a massive built in wardrobe with plenty of space to store your things. There is air-conditioning in the living room and heaters in each of the bedrooms. I own pretty much every kitchen appliance known to man and you are welcome to use them (woks, rice cooker, risotto maker, electric cake mixer, coffee machine, food processor, nutribullet, blender etc). The apartment complex itself is well kept, has secure automatic gates and there are 2 tandem parking spots at the rear for the apartment. It is opposite a park which also seems to have plenty of parking along it. Internet and bills will be split between the two of us. Any more questions - just ask! The apartment is a modern 1920's art deco on ground floor with a security entrance. It has a really nice courtyard great for a BBQ in summer. Its fully furnished and pretty much all brand new. Theres internet and fully integrated sonos system so great for movies and listening to music. The room itself is the second room and has a double wardrobe with heaps of hanging space. It has its own bathroom a short walk across the hall (I have my own ensuite). Its on a nice quite street and has lots of off street parking and never have to worry about getting a park. I've included photos from when the property was purchased because they're nicer photos then i can come up with myself. Furnished very similarly but probably nicer. The apartment is in the heart of St Kilda East, right next to Ripponlea train station and close to all amenities- supermarket, shops, bank and cafes. 10-15 minutes to the city. All bills and internet included in rent. It is a brand new apartment, very modern. 2 rooms available- one from the 28/12/17 and the other from the 3/1/18, both at $215 per week.
Our house is directly opposite St Kilda marina which makes for some amazing sunset views. 30 yards from st kilda beach, Luna Park, Acland Street and bus/tram routes are at the end of the road. The room is a king-size room which can include a king-size or 2 singles for people who don't mind sharing a room (rent would be $268/week). All bills (including unlimited wifi and Foxtel) included in rent, nothing extra to pay. House is fully furnished including dining table, sofas and TV. We have also bought for the room a clothes rail and 3 wooden storage units which we will leave in the room for free. There is a small area out the back as well as a front garden and also a shared patio area including laundry facilities. The house is spacious with all massive rooms hallways and living room. There is a separate bathroom alongside the shower room. We have to fly home unexpectedly so need someone to take over the remainder of our lease until March. We are gutted to be leaving, the house is perfect for short term for space and location. It is also much cheaper than hostels this time of year!
