The house a large cottage style home, nestled in the Urban Oasis of Elwood. We're on the main drag of the cafes/bars and the location is incredible. The beach is a few minutes walk away, while Elsternwick park is around the corner with Elsternwick train station being a ten minute walk. The room is medium sized and there is plenty of storage/cupboard space for the third housemate in your bedroom. Our yard provides shading, plenty of sun and grassed areas with some hammocks setup for R&;R. We have tons of fun together, share a laugh, keep the house clean and absolutely love the place. The bathroom is large with a working spa both for those winter months. All rooms have air con as well as ducted heating throughout the joint. It certainly has a lot of charm in an area that is renowned for its cafes, restaurants and bars. Internet and Netflix also included. There is bedding however feel free to bring your own. Emer and I have recently moved to Elwood and on the hunt for a third housemate to join our beautiful, modernly furnished and spacious townhouse located across the road from the beach. We're looking for someone who is easy going, mindful of others space, friendly and also clean and tidy. We’ve only recently meet and lived together for a couple of weeks now but have had some fun cooking up a feast and are looking forward to hosting some dinner parties/games nights. We’d love to live with someone who is health conscious (Ellie is plant-based so we’d welcome another vego) and would be up for exercising together... gym, yoga, riding, hiking etc. We’re both TM meditators, genuine, easy going, positive and always up for some fun and adventure (and the occasional doof). THE HOUSE: Downstairs is all open planned living: Kitchen is fully equipped with a large island bench. The dining area is off to one side and we have a large hardwood table perfect for entertaining. The lounge area is surrounded by ceiling length windows and has skylights which provide amazing natural light. Bi-fold doors open the space to a generously sized courtyard and open garage, also great for entertaining. We have super comfy couches that seat eight and a decent sized TV. There is also a powder room and european laundry downstairs. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one shared bathroom and a en-suite in the main bedroom. Your room is the smallest and priced accordingly. It is north facing so has beautiful natural light and a heater. It doesn't have a BIR but will fit a double/queen bed with room for a bedside table and chest of draws or one of those IKEA freestanding wardrobes. We have left a cupboard empty just outside your door for extra storage too. You will share a bathroom with Emer, it is quite large with floor to ceiling mirrors and shower over bathtub that has good water pressure (very important). Since we moved in we haven't had a problems with street parking even on those hot days when everyone heads to the beach (no permit required). Rent is $260/week but come see and make an offer. I absolutely love this apartment, it’s extremely spacious. It’s on the top floor in an apartment block in Elwood, over looking all the beautiful trees. Windows all around which creates loads of light. It is also fully furnished so for someone that has nothing other than bedroom belongings.. this would be perfect. The place is extremely clean and tidy.. new modern furniture and a slight plant obsession.. so lots of greenery. The bedroom is an average size, built in wardrobe, room for a queen size bed and maybe some drawers. Shared bathroom, double sized shower and separate toilet. Off st parking available, also tram stop out the front and a 5 min walk to either Ripponlea or Elsternwick stations.
Situated on a long block right at the end and one floor up, this apartment is lovely and quiet and surrounded by greenery to boot. A security gate and additional security entry ensures safety and things like bikes are secure. Ormond Road shops and Tennyson St shops are both within minutes walk, and there are bus stops very close. Elsternwick train station is approx 15mins walk away (depending on how long your legs are!) Parquetry flooring is featured throughout, besides the linoleum in the kitchen and tiles in the bathroom. The entire place is flooded with light all day and lifts the beautiful dark flooring. The balcony overlooks the gorgeous backyard next door and huge trees. I'm very lucky to not be facing in to another apartment block like often is the case! The sun reaches the lounge room and balcony side of the building in the morning, and in the evening the sunset from the other side throws beautiful colours across the sky which is again visible from the balcony. The relatively newly renovated kitchen receives the same beautiful morning sun. Plenty of storage space, new appliances and most importantly bench space make it a dream to use! Also I love a good indoor plant so these are dotted throughout the house, probably not truly represented by the photos.. The bathroom is also somewhat recently renovated and includes a large shower (very importantly, great shower pressure), a bath and enough cupboard space for two. The washing machine is situated in here and I'm yet to install some shelves for extra storage space. In saying that, the hall cupboard and built in robes within the bedrooms are sufficient! A separate toilet is situated next to the bathroom. The bedroom available is small to medium, with floor to ceiling mirrored double built in robes which are a dream to use. The parquetry flooring continues in here and at the moment I have it partly furnished. It is available either furnished or unfurnished, depending on who moves in and what they're after. Short term and long term housemates are both welcome. Despite having other apartment blocks on both sides, being on a corner block sees the apartment surrounded by trees and the buildings barely visible. There's minimal noise by the neighbours and ones situated within this complex are all lovely, friendly and quiet. I have a car park and two on street permits are available as well. It's a tight car park underneath the building, but if off street parking is preferable I'm open to swapping. Move in date flexible!
