The apartment is less than a five minute walk to both the beach and the shops, and a short walk to Acland Street. It is close to Elsternwick and Ripponlea stations and has a bus stop directly out front. The apartment has air con and heating, a communal laundry and easy parking on the street (free and un-timed!). Apartment is on the ground floor and also has a shared courtyard and front yard. The bedroom available is the master bedroom and it is massive, can easily fit a king bed and has built-in robes. The bedroom itself will be unfurnished. The apartment is furnished but my housemate leaving will be taking the couch and TV, so bonus points if you can contribute either or both of these things! A beautiful compact unit in a quite street with fresh paint and new carpets. Train station is only 15 min walk away and Elwood Village with the Beach just behind it just 10 min by foot. This is a quite clean place and not ideal for parties. Room is partly furnished with hanging space; a large tallboy and blockout curtains.
I have one bedroom available in a cute 2 bedroom ground floor apartment in Elwood. Even though it's not super modern, it is in fantastic condition with the owner repainting the entire apartment including the bathroom and kitchen counter tops, and replacing carpet throughout right before we moved in in August. We are located right behind the main strip in Elwood, with easy access to the bars, cafes and shops. Also less that 5 minutes walk from the gorgeous Elwood Beach. It is about a 10 minute walk to public transport, but if you drive there is plenty of on street parking (it is a very quiet and safe area) and we are very close to everything then. We do not have airconditioning, however by some stroke of luck we actually haven't needed one even through the heatwave we had in December. We do however have heaters in the lounge room and both bedrooms, again we barely used those in winter either. As I have lived on my own previously the apartment is 90% furnished, including kitchen and laundry appliances, however there are still spare cupboards in the kitchen and you have a triple old style wardrobe in your bedroom to store things. The available room is a good size, easily fitting a queen bed and bedside table, plus a dresser if needed. I am 27 and work in Hospitality so I am out quite alot of the time, especially in the evenings. I am pretty cruisy when it comes to whether we hang out or not, I am quite busy so I don't always have time but if I do I'm happy to share a meal or go for a drink. I like to think of the common area as shared space and don't mind having guests over. I am a very social person so I would be happy to get along with your friends, and would love someone willing to get along with mine. I currently foster cats, though they are moving out in January so won't be on the property when you move in. I would prefer to live with someone who works rather than a full time student, and believe we would get along better if we were within roughly the same age range. I will be honest, I am not comfortable with someone who is too frequently into drugs. I am fairly open to anyone, so please contact me if you are interested anyone and we can discuss this. We have a lovely and spacious 3 bedroom, character filled older-style apartment, in the beautiful neighbourhood of Elwood. The house is fully furnished with mostly modern furniture and decor styling, with hints of vintage wares. With white walls and wooden parquetry flooring throughout, the windows in main areas are all floor to ceiling, so we're blessed with plenty of sunlight throughout the day. The lounge room is very spacious - with morning sunlight steaming in - leading out to a balcony (that we love to have breakfast on) that faces the (neighbourhood traffic only) street - and is also very comfy with an 80cm TV. The kitchen is fairly large, with large dining table, cooking/kitchen appliances, plenty of cupboard space, and two lovely leafy window outlooks. The bathroom is shared with a bath, separate shower and laundry area (including washing machine). Toilet is separate to bathroom, both have good ventilation, and both have cool retro mosaic floor tiling. There is a great central gas heater, so it never gets cold. Off-street car parking is readily available if you have a car, otherwise trains, trams and buses are just 1 block away. We are close to St Kilda Botanic Gardens, Carlisle and Acland Streets, and St Kilda Rd. And just a 12min walk to Elwood's Ormond Rd. We take pride in making the apartment our home - and love to keep the space mess/clutter free, and cleanliness of a high standard :)
For those who know Elwood, must be familiar that shops, cafes, transport, beach, park everything is literally 5 minute stroll. Having everything so close you can still have a tranquil time at your own. Photos are taken from the add but i'm furnishing it in similar fashion. I have been living in Elwood for over three years and caught up with the life style and don't mind to spend two hours behind the wheels for this. Large 4 bedroom plus a study, 2 lounge room, 2 bathroom, 2 storey home in Elwood. Huge open planned main lounge room, kitchen/dining area with sliding door leading out to our private and sunny deck where we spend a lot of time hanging out in the warmer months. The house is about 23 years old and is very warm and comfortable. The room that's up for grabs is upstairs. The room itself is pretty big and comes with a built in wardrobe and ac/heater. You would be sharing the upstairs bathroom with one other person. We have a freestanding wood fire in the lounge room which cranks out the heat which we use pretty much on a daily basis when its cold (Nic is a chippy and gets free firewood from work which saves on heating costs!) There's also a heat pump/air-con central heating unit in the lounge which is great. The kitchen is spacious and user friendly, we have all the basic appliances and cutlery/crockery etc plus a dishwasher and TWO fridges. Basically the house is fully furnished except for the bedroom on offer. As far as location goes, we are situated on Barkly Street right near the iconic "Jerrys Cafe", so just a 5 minute walk to Acland Street and there's a bus stop at our front door so public transport is great.

We have internet installed which I believe is $35 which is $17.50 each a month if you choose to use it. You will have the room to yourself and rent is $977.50 per calendar month, bond is $1150 but you will get that back when you move out.
