The unit is in a very beautiful and convenient location. St Kilda Botanical gardens are less than a block away which was one of our favourite things about the property. Public transport is very close with tram routes 78, 67, 3 & 16 all nearby, and a ten minute walk to Balaclava station. Carlisle St is within easy walking distance and St Kilda beach is close by. It's a gorgeous old style brick apartment, with double glazed windows which makes it well insulated and quiet inside. Bathroom and kitchen are newly renovated. It's a three bedroom apartment with separate study. It has a small but shady and green courtyard out the front, and maintained communal gardens along the side of the property. The apartment is one of eight in the block. We have two rooms for rent - a little different in size and therefore rent price (smaller room - $165, larger room - $200). Both have wooden floors, windows, and built in robes. The smaller room would fit in a queen bed and bedside table, and the larger room a queen bed and desk/couch. We are moving into the house this week, and in the process of setting it up with furniture. If you have a fridge or microwave would be a bonus, if not our plan is to hunt for these.
