We live in a large old Elwood home, with a wraparound yard – so you’re not looking out the windows at a concrete wall, and you have plenty of space to call your own. Public transport is just a short walk away to whisk you into town; within throwing distance is also the beach, Acland Street, Carlisle Street and the St Kilda Botanical Gardens. Your room is lovely and large – it has big built in wardrobes, beautiful high ceilings and is nice and quiet. You’d be surprised how spacious our place is, while you’ve got a few housemates sharing the costs – if you’re not feeling social, it’s very easy to not bump into any one else in the house! We all live fairly quiet lifestyles as working professionals, so our hours are pretty regular. At the same time though, we’re a very friendly bunch if you’re up for a chat. What else should you know? The rest of the house includes a large living room, separate dining room, a big kitchen, and a second smaller living space. We have a lovely outdoor deck and a big garage. Hey, sadly our lovely flatmate is leaving, so you get the chance to live in the beachy suburb of beetroot lattés ;) Your future room has built-in wardrobes, carpet and fits a double sized bed. We are renting out furnished. The sunny flat itself has a lounge room, a fully equipped kitchen (with charming lookout on Elsternwick park while doing dishes) and a bathroom with bath tub and shower. Unlimited wifi and Netflix are included. We have a nice frontyard with yucca palms, a bit of planting and a massive BBQ. A 5 min walk brings you to absolutely fabulous Elwood beach, bars and shops. Public transport is close with train, tram and busses to University or Fitzroy. Or grab a bike and ride 10 min along the beach to St Kilda :)
THE LOCATION It is a cute apartment in a safe area. The building is relatively quiet with a few shops at end of the street as well as a 5 minute walk to tram stop 40 on 67 line into the city and a 10 minute walk to ripponlea station. It is close to the beach, Elwood cafes and bars and a short trip to St Kilda. THE APARTMENT The apartment is furnished aside from the vacant room although happy if you have some furniture you want to bring with you as long as it fits. Currently without a washing machine but I just use the laundromat that's at the end of the street. Good sized bedroom available with 3 door wardrobe (with extra space in corridor cupboard available), shared bathroom, huge living space and good sized kitchen! Internet included in the rent. Hey people, So the apartment is in a great location, 50m from Elwood beach and less than 200m from Ormond Rd Elwood shops. It has a good sized living room with plenty of natural light. The kitchen is big, with a couple of stools in there if you want to hang out with friends while cooking. The carpet is only a couple of years old and the kitchen and bathroom is tiled. There are no neighbouring properties above, below or on adjoining walls so basically no noise from any neighbours. Private balcony , accessed from the living room. The spare room needs to be furnished but other than that the apartment has everything you need. Happy to consider additional furniture , crockery, etc. from potential tenant. The house is close to the beach (5 minutes walk), Elsternwick Train Station and Trams on Nepean Hwy (10 minute walk). The back of the house is undergoing some improvements so you'll have to check it out when you come.
