House: The townhouse has been renovated and in good condition. Besides the room for rent, the entire house is fully furnished. The housemate leaving will be taking the fridge so we will look at options in getting a new one. Our apartment on Nicholsen Street is situated in a secure apartment complex which is close to the city. It lies in between Lygon Street and Brunswick Street so there is plenty of access to foods, gyms, shops etc. It is only a 15 minute walk into the CBD. The walk through the Carlton Gardens is lovely. Or if in a hurry, there is a 96 tram running right out the front of our apartment complex that runs straight through to Bourke Street. The apartment has a spacious kitchen and lounge areas. Two bedrooms and one bathroom with a bath and shower. The apartment is all furnished excluding the bedroom (that you will take over). We have an air conditioner/heater in the lounge and a washing machine in a small area opposite the kitchen. This apartment is ideal for students at the University of Melbourne or RMIT University. Rent is $830 a month. ($1651 together) Water, electricity and Internet aren't included in the rent however are only usually $30 each per bill.

As my current housemates have decided to move out, there will be TWO BEAUTIFUL BEDROOMs available to take over with opportunity to get on the lease. Each room is about 3.25m x 3m with built-in closet; hence, there is plenty of storage space. There is also a bathroom downstairs only for these two bedrooms. The house includes a bright, and large living area, clean kitchen, and a cosy courtyard (photos) with working central heating unit. It's just a 5 minute walk up to all the amazing Smith St and excellent public transport with the 86 tram on Smith St and Collingwood train station a 10 minute walk away. 15 minute tram ride into the city, easy for someone who works or goes to Uni in the CBD. The apartment is in excellent condition with near new appliances including a fridge and dishwasher (anyone with a washing machine is welcome!). This place is ideal for someone who doesn't have much stuff other than their bedroom things. That said space can easily be made for your belongings. The apartment has a lovely outlook onto Stanley street with a view to the trees. This near new apartment complex on Stanley St has a pool and storage cage and is very secure as you need a swiper to get into the building. The apartment is also air conditioned!

The house is in a great location - within walking distance to plenty of public transport, including the 86 down smith st, Victoria park station and two busses that go down Johnston St! There is also a woolies and a Coles which are about a 15 minute walk away, and plenty of pubs within walking distance as well - what more do you need! The room will be mostly unfurnished and is big enough to fit in a queen size bed still with plenty of room for a desk or shelves. The rest of the house is furnished, however if you do have some furniture or appliances we'd probably be able to accommodate for that! The house isn't huge though so no couples - sorry!

Hey everyone! Hands down best place in Carlton, all of our friends say so, it must be true. We live above a bunch of shops in Carlton and this place is huge, you won't realise it until you get inside! There is actually three rooms to be filled! The room is quite cozy it can fit a single bed and a night stand. You also get a second room in the house to put all of your stuff and it has more than enough room for a dresser several clothes racks and a desk. Total cost is $168 a week including internet! Best price in Carlton for the location. The place is perfectly located in the heart of Carlton with Lygon street and the nova cinema just around the corner. Walk down to Brunswick street or the dozens of bars around here in Carlton! There's a supermakert, butchers, Saturday farmers market all within 100 meters of the place. Studying at Melb Uni works really well too as you can wake up 10mins before class starts and still be on time! That being said everyone is really chill and gets along great. There is the occasional party on the weekend but during the week everyone is busy with their own things. Bond is the same for everyone, $850 paid to the person moving out. Utilities are reasonable and paid quarterly. We are ideally looking for someone who will be cool with signing the lease for only the medium and large rooms and planning to call this home for a while.
