It is 5-10 minutes walk to St leonards station where there are also cafes and a pharmacy, gyms etc. It would be ideal for nurses or doctors working at the hospital or for someone working in the city. There are also buses to chatswood and the CBD from the end of the street. A parking permit can possibly be provided so that you can park on the street for an unlimited amount of time if you have a car. There is plenty of on-street parking all around the area. We are two friendly females, aged 31 and 35, looking for a friendly and considerate female flatmate, similar age, full-time employed & non-smoker, to fill a great room in our 3 bedroom apartment. We're only a 30 second walk to Wollstonecraft Station, but thanks to the apartment buildings between us and the track, all we hear is the peaceful quiet of the neighbourhood and the birds! Rent is currently $1086.31 per month ($250 week), the first month and $800 bond is to be paid before moving in. Rent is paid on the 6th of every month by EFT. In the event of rent increases we equally share the increase. We also split the electricity bill three ways, it's usually about $100 a quarter each. You can get to Wynyard in 15 minutes from your front door if you time it right. It's in a freestanding house/cottage with a small front yard, backyard and private deck. (The only thing it doesn't include is your share of basic supplies like toilet paper, paper towels etc., which are split) So all told rent is $340/week ... or for couples it would be $390/week. There's plenty of off-street parking, not that you necessarily need it with the train so close. I haven't bothered to get a residential parking permit ($52/year and available online) as there's a street nearby where you don't need it. Nestled down in the quiet part of Wollstonecraft, both Wollstonecraft station and the restaurant mecca of Crows Nest are less than 10 minutes' walk away. The house itself is on two levels, with lounge room, kitchen, toilet and laundry downstairs, and bedrooms, shared bathroom and separate toilet upstairs. The room on offer is the second largest at roughly 3x3m, and will easily fit a queen bed. It has built-ins and overlooks the rear courtyard. While it is unfurnished, the rest of the place is well equipped, including washer, dryer and TV. ADSL internet is available. There's a garage under the house currently used for common storage, however if you wish to park your car there, it's yours for an extra $15 a week. It's an old kitchen, so there's no dishwasher, but otherwise it should contain everything you need! We fend for ourselves food-wise and understand the need for quiet time, but also like to keep things sociable and are up for a chat and to share a wine at any time, and Joe's culinary barbecue skills get a decent workout every now and then for the benefit of the whole house. The building is directly across from Waverton train station and is in a very quiet and safe neighbourhood. We have an outdoor pool and a few cafes/shops round about, but is only 3 stops on the train to Wynyard. The apartment itself is very homely and has an amazing view of the Harbour Bridge, Opera House and CBD. I really do love living here, it's one of the nicest areas I've been to round about Sydney and I'm sure my future flat mate will think so too :-)
