It is a quiet and leafy green residential suburb composed mostly of families. It is bordered by the Darebin Creek to the east and the Yarra River to the south. One of its best features is that it contains a number of beautiful bush reserves and parks. We are a 5-minute walk to Darebin Parklands. Our home was built 5 years ago and has every modern feature. It has 3 bedrooms, each with mirrored built-in robes and a private balcony, 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets, a study area, an open plan living area, a separate small living area, a large kitchen with a double oven, dishwasher and walk-in pantry, a laundry, a double garage and a small rear garden with a private gate that leads directly onto Pitcher Park which includes a football, cricket ground and netball and basketball court. Hi there future roomie! I live in a great three-storey, two bedroom terrace house that has recently been constructed which is super close to Darebin Creek. The bedroom is unfurnished and light and spacious. It contains a built in wardrobe. The room would easily contain a queen sized bed and set of drawers etc. The house is fully furnished so you don't need to worry about buying anything - Although if you have a washing machine that would be very handy. The house is configured as having a storage area, laundry and study on the ground floor. I haven't really found a use for the study area other than for drying laundry so if you need extra space or want to set up a home office this would be perfect for you. The middle level contains a great kitchen and an open plan living area which faces out on to a high walled balcony. The balcony faces north east and gets a good amount of morning to mid afternoon sun. I've kind of started a pot veggie garden but the bugs may be winning at the moment... If you have green fingers I could do with your help! There is also a toilet on this level. The top floor contains both of the bedrooms and the shared bathroom - which has a bath. The bath/shower is a bit of an odd design and could be difficult to get into if you weren't fully abled. I have no problems with it but I could imagine that if someone had a dodgy leg it could prove a problem. The house has ducted heating and refrigerated cooling. I'm trying to keep the house as green as possible with natural non-toxic cleaners, no synthetic fragrances/candles, collecting veggie scraps, minimising waste and turning off all power points etc when not required. It would be great if you had similar environmental values. The successful roomie would need to be on the lease and pay a bond of $1087. Proof of income and references will need to be provided to the agent. There is pretty good internet - unlimited downloads - which we could split the cost of. Prefer non-smokers.
