Big house with a nice yard - it's in a great area, very quiet at night. Has air conditioning, solar panels, large kitchen and lounge. 10 minute walk to the Macleod train station (Hurstbridge Line) and local shops, and a bus stop around the corner. La Trobe uni is walking distance. On street parking available without a permit (or offstreet if you get home first!) Room fits a double bed, desk, and has a built in robe with drawers (we have a spare 'dining room' off the lounge that can be used for a study etc if you need more space). Room has two big windows for lots of light, and they both have secure roller shutters if you'd prefer the dark! I have a friendly little rabbit who lives in the house with us - he is penned up inside when I'm not home but when I am he has free roam around the house. He is very clean and completely litter trained, it's like having a weird cat! So, no other pets please. We are ideally looking for someone to join us on the lease till next June at least.

I have 2 double bedrooms available in a lovely, spacious modern 3 bedroom home located in Springthorpe Village. Downstairs is large, light-filled open plan living room and kitchen/dining area which opens onto an enclosed private patio- perfect for bbqs when the weather allows! The room faces the back garden, away from main streets. It includes a double BIR with mirrored doors. Bathroom and separate toilet to be shared with other housemate. The home is fully furnished, but you will be able to store any kitchen gear and personal belongings in the generous storage space available. I am a primary school teacher in my early thirties, who enjoys to cook a meal together and watch a movie every now and then but enjoy my own downtime and personal life. I am looking for a clean, respectful professional/student who keeps similar hours (I work the usual 9-5 Monday to Friday). You must also be happy to share a home with pets! This terrace house has a lovely street appeal and is located in a well looked after, secure and pretty neighbourhood. There is central air conditioning and heating, as well as unlimited internet courtesy of Telstra. The TV in the living room is attached to a Telstra TV with access to Netflix, Stan, Foxtel Now and other apps, which is included in the internet plan. There is a double garage out the back of the property that is accessible through a private gated entrance. Bills are split equally between all housemates and the main bathroom will be shared with myself (Bess). There is plenty of room for all of your things in said bathroom :) There is also a great outdoor space with a garden that is in the process of being beautified and a patio that is lovely to sit out in when the weather is nice! The main area of the home is open plan with lots of space for a third person to join us. The room available is comfortable and large enough for a big bed, desk and book shelf. There is a built in wardrobe with lots of room for your clothes and shoes, with two windows that display a lovely view, especially when the sun is setting :) We are located next to Greensborough road which can be busy, but is close to public transport. A bus stop is located directly next to the house that will conveniently take you to the Greensborough plaza precinct or the Heidelberg shopping strip. Trains are approximately 20 mins walk to either Macleod or Watsonia Station. However, if you are a driver, than these trips will take you approximately 5 minutes or less! Isn't that awesome! I personally have found the area to be quite safe and I enjoy the area for its parks and reserves that are within walking distance. If you are into exercising or being out in the fresh air, than this area is right for you!
