We're pretty chill. Fairly opposite people, but somehow it works. About the house: The room that is available is the size of a standard bedroom 3.5 x 3.0 m. It's roughly 100sq.ft or 10 sq. metres. You can check it out in the pictures and on the plan. It easily fits a queen bed and other furniture, contains ample space in the wardrobe to fit a tall boy and has a built in shelf that runs the length of the long wall for storage and display. You'll share a bathroom just across the hall with a large mirror, small bath and good sized shower. As far as the house goes, you can see in the pictures mostly. If you'd like to bring a fridge that will fit into our fridge cavity, you're most welcome. Ours currently is a double door fridge which we have in the lounge because it won't fit. If you have a washing machine and a vacuum cleaner, that would be a bonus but not a necessity as these can be acquired. There is a garage where things can be stored if you have that need. It's too small for a car and storage, but there is plenty of on street parking plus a park out the back of the block we utilise. All bills split 3 ways. This place is in the greatest place. Tram? Check. Right at the end of the street. Train station? Two within walking distance. Pool? Just across Malvern Rd. Supermarket? IGA and Coles within walking distance. Freeway access? Never been easier since the train line disappeared. 1 min from the Burke Rd exit to the Monash. Food? Everywhere! Even a post box at the end of the street! Don't even get me started on the proximity of Chapel St in the early hours of a Sunday morning. Too close for my own good :S But... kebabs. **Note: the pictures are of the house as listed previously. Hey all, I am currently taking over the lease for a top floor apartment along Denbigh Road, Armadale. Great solar access and ventilation. B-e-a-utiful street during all seasons of the year. There's a AC/heater for when Melbourne weather throws a tantrum, so we are covered on that front. You will have your own room with views to the CBD. Shared kitchen, living area and bathroom. Current flatmates will be taking their main furniture (e.g. sofas and fridge). I will be refurnishing the living areas and kitchen with all the necessities. Pretty easy-going place, sadly no pets due to the carpet and lease requirement.
Unfurnished room for rent! Property comprises a first floor, 1970's unit situated in a three level (walk up) secure complex. The room for rent is carpeted with built in robes. It is south facing with plenty of light. The room is 3.3 x 2.6m in size and currently has a queen bed, dresser and computer desk which fits comfortably. The other room is 3 x 3.4m which I would consider moving into, depending on the housemate. The unit is situated at the back of the block, corner position (lots of windows + plenty of light!) We have a split system air conditioning unit in the lounge (which has only been used a handful of times in the summer) and a gas wall furnace also in the lounge (used quite a bit but cheap!) FURNITURE: I'll be losing the fridge & washing machine so if you come with either, that would be great otherwise I'll be buying them ASAP. The room available is $197 per week ($855 per month) plus unlimited internet which $30 per month each ($885 in total). Move date is slightly flexible. Bills vary. Electricity is roughly $70-90 each a quarter; gas around $25 each in the summer and $60-80 each in the winter; I've only paid two water bills in the last 11 months which have been $33 each. Setting aside $100-120/month for bills is a rough guide. The place is a short walk to Armadale Train Station, trams along High Street & Dandenong Road and Malvern Central/Glenferrie Rd shops.

The house is situated in a beautiful leafy part of glen iris overlooking gardiner creek. It's about a 5 minute walk to gardiner station and from there a 20 minute train to the city. There is also a tram running to camberwell, chapel street, and melbourne uni. The house is absolutely gorgeous with a huge kitchen and aesthetic spiral staircase. The available room is the smallest but it easily fits a double bed, clothes rack, and shelves (all included) as well as some extra (nonincluded) furniture which the current housemate will be taking with her. Please note that this is a sublet for the month of November - perfect for backpackers or people looking for short term accom while they find their feet. We will also consider backpackers wanting to share the room.
Great location close to the city but still a lovely area. Close to public transport. At the end of the street is a park, oval and rail trail. Close to many gyms, the M1 and Chadstone. Great area if you love cute cafes and brunching. House is fully furnished other than the available room. The room is spacious, large enough for double-queen bed. Mirror wardrobe, with plenty of space for a tallboy or extra storage in the room. Large windows which gets great natural light. Large dark blinds, perfect for the shift workers out there or those who just love a sleep in. The apartment has a split system air conditioner, perfect for summer and winter. Washing machine and dryer available for use. Bills are about $100-120 quarterly and water is included in the rent. Internet, Netflix and Optus fetch TV is $50 a month.
