The house and backyard are great for entertaining or simply to relax on a blanket under the trees and read a book all afternoon. The house is the perfect place to study or relax in after a long day's work. There is a large backyard for entertaining, and a separate laundry area with a washing machine. The bathroom and kitchen are both original, but neat and tidy. The property is located on a very quiet street, and the local bakery is a 1 minute walk away. 4 minutes walk away are the local shops on Duthy Street (Butcher, Fruit and Veg). There are also two bus services (15 minute go zones) 2 minutes walk away. Fully furnished room is available for an additional $10/week. The room becoming available is the largest bedroom, and is located at the front of the house, with a wardrobe, fan, air-conditioning, and window. Bills (water, gas, electricity, internet) are additional to the weekly rent and are fixed at $45.00/person/week. This cost is fixed so the tenant can be sure that they won't pay more for anything. This place has so much character, and although close to the city, is extremely peaceful. Enjoy a cuppa in the sunny backyard, Netflix in the cosy living room, or have a few mates over to take advantage of the woodfire pizza oven out the back! Unfortunately I cannot accurately enter the “bond”. It is $750. Our lease ends early next year, but there is the option to continue on! It is possible that a couple of us may leave, however we have never had an issue finding like-minded and good natured people to fill rooms.
Our house is architecturally beautiful, it has high ceilings, period features, lovely large windows in the ‘everything room’ (kitchen/dining/lounge) which makes it light filled! If you don’t like indoor plants, you need not apply 😅 It has a lovely garden also. The house has AC and great heating, we have Netflix and Stan, all the mod cons, and fast internet at an additional cost. We are a short stroll from the shops on Duthy, and there’s a lovely little community garden 10 mins walk away. We have loads of shops nearby (but not too close!) including Frewville Foodland, The Arkaba and Woolies, depending on your flavour.
We have a room available in a quiet street in Fullarton with friendly neighbours, close to the City and Adelaide University's Waite College. There is a bike lane close by and it's only a 30 min walk to the CBD fringe. The 171 bus stop (3 min) to the city as well as two large supermarkets which are both in close walking distance. There are also cafe's and bakeries around the corner. Our's is a Classic Deco Adelaide stone home, it is air-conditioned, clean, and has high ceilings, polished floorboards, ornate features and big rooms. It's recently been redecorated and has a big established kitchen for everyone to use. We like to cook together if time permits. The kitchen has most appliances, including dishwasher, stovetop and coffee maker. There is a comfortable living area, entrance room, and a large bathroom with a separate laundry with washing machine and a drier, and w/c. Big, green front and rear gardens, BBQ. The room available is fully furnished with a double bed, a wardrobe, a huge desk, drawers, chair etc. You will have three housemates, 2 females, Ecuadorian and Finnish mid 20's students ,and myself: a friendly, older Australian male. Awesome little house in Fullarton, THE place to be! Technically the house is a maisonette but feels like a small house as we are at the front of the block with a wrap around garden and just the one shared back wall. There's a little spot in the backyard affectionately referred to as the 'bust shelter' as it used to be a shed that has been converted into the undercover couch chatting spot! It's not fancy but it has been the site of many a good laugh and chat. The location is prime! We are under two minutes walk from a a great little cafe, Vietnamese restaurant and a 24 hour petrol station. Also opposite a Celebrations, very handy! Bus stop is 15 secs from the front door with bus directly into the city. Woolworths is 10 minutes walk up the road, as is fancy Foodland. Unley Rd is a 20 minute walk away, 5 mins if you drive, ditto Glen Osmond Rd. House itself has a shared one bathroom, kitchen and lounge area with open fire. We also have ducted aircon. Bedroom has a ceiling fan too and has been freshly painted. Absolutely must be an animal lover as I have two fluffy cats who are awesome and of course, are as dear to me as any family member so any new flatmate definitely needs to be a cat person! I definitely include the boys as a best feature of the house! We have an undercover carport with roller door access which would be available to you as I don't have a car but street parking is also cool as we are on the corner of a side street which has so far proven perfectly safe to park on.
5 minutes away from Unley Shopping Centre, 10 minutes away from the CBD, 5 minutes to the south-eastern freeway, $15 uber rides into town, off street parking, plenty of local ovals/parks/cafes. Bedroom 2 is a large room with built-in-robe and mirror. The house also has a separate enclosed living area great for having your own space away from your bedroom. Upstairs also has a study area perfect for a chill out corner. Air conditioning through out also with effective heating keeping the place nice and warm during these cold months. Payment is accepted via bank transfer however suits (wk/fn/mth). A $1,000 bond will be required in cash upon accepting the room, and you must be able to provide four payslips as proof of gainful employment and a copy of your driver’s license. There are no pets allows, and car parking is available on the street only.
