We are looking for a housemate to move into an amazing house in Malvern. Superbly located at the end of a no through road, our house is in a very quiet but convenient area, and features new carpets, newly painted walls, air conditioning, floor boards, front and back verandas, and a large back garden, with fruit trees. The house and backyard are great for entertaining or simply to relax on a blanket under the trees and read a book all afternoon. The house is the perfect place to study or relax in after a long day's work. There is a large backyard for entertaining, and a separate laundry area with a washing machine. The bathroom and kitchen are both original, but neat and tidy. The property is located on a very quiet street, and the local bakery is a 1 minute walk away. 4 minutes walk away are the local shops on Duthy Street (Butcher, Fruit and Veg). There are also two bus services (15 minute go zones) 2 minutes walk away. We have the middle room available for $175/week Fully furnished room is available for an additional $10/week. The rooms becoming available have a wardrobe, fan, air-conditioning, and window. Bills (water, gas, electricity, internet) are additional to the weekly rent and are fixed at $35.00/person/week. This cost is fixed so the tenant can be sure that they won't pay more for anything. Couples are welcome (at a small additional charge). Bond is the equivalent of four weeks total rent. The house is a little old but this doesn't mean its great. Its 8 mins from the city and has many bus options near by. There is a huge backyard and clean pool for the summertime. As well as having two bathrooms (one indoor and one outside) there is also a huge living room area with air conditioning. The house is already furnished (apart from room available) including kitchen. The bond is $600 and the rent is $100 a week, but the house is in a great area and you'll be living with some great people.
This home is an Art Deco house with lots of original style in a beautiful leafy part of Adelaide. We are at the end of the dead end street which is nice as we really only get foot traffic on the street. Within approx 200m is the bus stop (stop 8) on Unley Rd. By bike, town is approx 25mins easy ride on the bike track. Around the corner is a little supermarket, great hairdresser, pharmacy, florist and cafe, there are also several other good cafes and bakeries really close (a few mins walk). Not far Is a wide variety of takeaway food places on Unley Rd. We walk a lot because of our dog and it’s a lovely place to walk with big wide cool leafy streets, nice old houses, established beautiful gardens and quite a few parks and ovals. There’s even a community veggie garden only 1 block away😃. As for the room available, it’s a large room that can comfortably accommodate a queen bed, a study space, and perhaps a small lounge area too. There is ducted a/c and unlimited internet. The kitchen and main bathroom are new. There are 2 toilets and 1 family bathroom. We are lucky to have have an established older-style garden with fragrant roses out front and fruit out back (would love someone who wants to get the veg garden up and running again..). Everyone that comes to this house says it has a beautiful calm feel to it. Specifically I need someone who can get my son on his bike and out the door at 0830hrs to school. You don’t have to do anything as such, just make sure he leaves on time. (I start work at 0615hrs and so he has become unreliable at getting to school on time) We have a big dog called Poppy. She is a Great Dane x so you need to be ok with dogs because she is the biggest sook ever and will ask for regular pats.
