We have been living here for about 2 years. This is the best share-house we have lived in by a long shot for a few reasons: - close to train station - close to the city (15 mins by train because the train is express from Caulfield to South Yarra). I guess close depends on your point of view, but before this we were living in Glen Waverley so we consider this quite the upgrade travel wise! - inverted living arrangements (bedrooms downstairs and living upstairs) which means the bedrooms are never too hot (even on 35-40 degree days) - air conditioning and heating upstairs and heaters in every room - really close to the internet exchange point so the internet speed is pretty decent (~14mbps) and we are in the process of having NBN installed so it should be getting much quicker. The room on offer is located at the front of the house ( refer to the floor plan picture). It has a built in wardrobe, as well as extra storage closet under the stairs. Frankie and I have our own ensuite, so the main large bathroom is shared between only 2 people. Also while we are looking for someone to go onto the lease (which is for one year) we also understand that that's a big commitment and things do come up so as long as we are given 30 days notice we are more than happy to find a replacement for you. PLEASE NOTE: The bond for this room is actually $1050 - we aren't sure why the landlord made it this high, but rest assured, all housemates have contributed equally to the bond.
The available room is now vacant and ready for you to move in. My wife is from China and our first preference is for a Chinese female to take the room. This family home is situated very close to the number 3 tram and only a 10 to 15 minute walk to train services (Caulfield, Carnegie or East Malvern stations). The property is well maintained and comes with all needed appliances, decent outdoor areas, gardens, etc. The room offered is reasonably large and has 'lots of light' coming in through the windows. Garden and lawns are maintained, we have cleaners come to the home each fortnight but there is a house rule for everyone to leave common areas clean once they are finished with the area.
There is a well-equipped kitchen with a big fridge, plenty of storage space, a dining table and chairs, a gas stove with 4 rings and oven and grill, a microwave of course, a toaster and even a sandwich presser. There is a toilet separated from the bathroom so don't worry about having to wait for the toilet. (Plus, none of us takes long shower anyways so not really any waiting for shower.) Your room is a spacious private room for one person (because there is just a single bed but there is enough space in the room for a double bed if you have/will get a double bed). Big windows, good for people who like sunlight (and of course there is a blind for people who don't like sunlight). Got a heater here for you to get thru winter. Nice desk and chair (for real), plus a big wardrobe with many compartments so you can keep your clothes well-organised. Plus its real close to Monash Uni, basically a 3 minute walk?
