My home is cosy, peaceful and has nice bright living spaces. It's a 5 minute walk to tram or bus interchange, 10 min walk to train (30 mins to city centre by any method). It's a 5-10 min walk to all major supermarkets, banks, k-mart, restaurants, cafes, post office, etc. The house has all gas appliances, a small kitchen, dishwasher, good shower, bath, laundry, WiFi broadband (an even share is 125 GB/month each) and a private sunny courtyard. It has gas heating but does not have cooling or a clothes dryer. Bills are currently averaging $22 per week per person with two people. Seeking a fun and friendly housemate with good vibes to take our soon to be empty room! We are looking for someone who enjoys a family like feel to their sharehouse, who enjoys a good balance between both hanging out with everyone and having their own quiet time. Rent is $570 a month, bond is $500 a month. Bills/ internet are divided between the three of us as they come in. There's also Netflix and Stan included with the house, so plenty of binging opportunities for this winter. The house is a short walking distance to the public transport, with both the 55 tram, and the 508 and 506 bus within a 5 to 10 minute walk. The house is cosy and quite kitsch, with a classic 50's vibe from checkered vinyl flooring and retro 50's cabinetry. The property is on a 600 sqm2 block, so the backyard is large enough for backyard chilling, to make your own veggie garden if you want to, or to have a bunch of friends over for a summer BBQ. There are some baby chickens currently residing in the backyard, and one veggie garden bed with capsicum and tomatoes growing. The neighbour out the back has two huge plum trees, and he shares big buckets of plums when the end of summer comes around. The room will be available on the 2nd May, as the dude moving out isn't leaving until the 1st May. The bedroom will come unfurnished, so you will need your own bedroom furniture. We are looking for someone who will fit in with the chill vibe of the house, and is cool to contributing as a household member to general cleaning and whatnot! And for someone who enjoys a wine and communal dinner in the evenings/ over the weekend. We don't expect it to be spotless 24/7, but we like to keep a generally tidy house. Looking for someone who is punctual with rent and bills :) One housemate is 420 friendly, so if you're discreet, you're welcome to join. There are an array of animals here, with two dogs, an indoor cat and a handful of baby chickens, so you need to be ok with animals! Unfortunately, due to having sometimes free ranging chickens, other dogs would be too much. Cats would be considered, if they're indoor.
