Our home is modern and framed well with a nice garden front and back. The house is floorboard and tiles throughout and easy to keep clean if you suffer allergies. The location is a nice quiet pocket of Moonee Ponds, not far from lovely Queens Park, the Moonee Ponds Creek trail, some other smaller parks and Puckle St Shops and eateries. The transport options are plentiful if without car and a myki user. A bus line is 5 minutes walk away, you also have 2 tram lines 10-15 minutes walk away and the bus intersects a bus hub which branches in all directions close by. You also have a bus intersect more than 2 train lines, so you have options! I often mix it up to head in different directions or work around Metro delays so i'm not stuck. I also ride 30 mins to work in the cbd. The room is quite spacious, a past housemate had a double bed, recliner and big screen TV in his room to go with the double built in wardrobe doors. My current one has bedside tables double bed and desk with bureau. Its situated at the quiet end of the house also and is warm and inviting with good light or blockout blind. There is an aerial point in the wall for your TV. Wardrobe measures 2.1 metres across of hanging space and a shelf above. The room approximately measures 3.1 x 3.25m at the mid points for those that ask. If required, i can place a futon bed in the room which is very comfortable if you need a bedding option. Which we can arrange. I am happy to work with you to make you feel more comfortable and at home around some of the needs you may have. At present the room is unfurnished but i have helped prior housemates with beds, and other things, The Kitchen is quite nice with pantry, i have a new fridge and freezer to share also. There is cooking and eating utensils if you don't have any, i am pretty self sufficient for you to just move in. The Bathroom has a spa and shower, the toilet room - powder room is huge also and can serve as second vanity which has a dryer for colder months. The room we are offering a large double bedroom with space for at least a queen bed. It is unfurnished but has two built in wardrobes. It has a window the gets some morning sun, a ceiling fan and non functional decorative fire place. You will have what is mostly your own bathroom as there is an en-suite that myself and Josh use. Our home is a beautiful town house in Essendon with plenty of character. Just a short 500m walk to the rose street shops as well as train, trams and bus stops. We would split all bills equally between the 3 of us, Gas and Electricity are paid monthly while Water is paid quarterly. About the room..... Tram #57 (right outside of the apartment, goes straight to Melbourne cbd. city centre, nearby and it takes roughly 15 mins to get to the CBD. If you take the tram in the opposite direction, it will take you to High point shopping centre. Couples will be considered but rent will increase and a higher bond. I'm 28, work for an energy company in the city Monday to Friday, and own a 5 year old rag doll cat named Luka. I'm pretty friendly and always up for a chat or a spot of binge watching. Martin is 26 and works in a detention centre. He's also a really friendly, chilled out guy. He works long hours though so isn't around a lot of the time. The apartment is older style, but a great size and location for the price. Essendon train station is an 8 minute walk away and the train takes about 15 minutes into the city. This is important as being close to the showgrounds and Flemington racecourse, street parking is permit only. There are 2 neighbourhood shopping centres within walking distance and the tram will take you to Ascot Vale village shopping and Highpoint Shopping Centre. It's a large flat and while you'll have the smaller room, you'll have the bigger cupboard and window! I'm also on the ground floor, so you don't have to carry stuff up stairs! There's also a laundry in the bathroom which you can use. I've lived in this flat for going on 4 years now and I love living in this area. Flemington is very socially and culturally diverse, as well as architecturally.
