The house has a magical back garden with a giant avocado tree, lemon tree and and a bungalow which is fun to have little gatherings in. The house is 60's and adorably retro and located in a no through road so it is very quiet and secluded. The room is approx 3.2m2 and has a built in robe and vanity, black out blinds and daytime blinds, a remote control fan/light and polished floor boards. Our beloved housemates couple is leaving Australia to travel to Southeast Asia and going to Europe. So that means, the master room in the house is open for renting. It is a huge room that comes with two big windows. Lots of sunshines and space on the second floor. We are living right next to a fish & chips family business, so 8 bucks for a delicious lunch/dinner, say what?? The furnishing in the room is somewhat arrangeable, if you really need the furnishing, you can negotiate with the couple and they are selling some of the stuff in the room for cheap. We have a big garage that can have two cars park on the property, plus garden, two fruit trees. One shared Bathroom with a toilet upstairs, and one addition toilet downstairs. 15 min walk to coles, 9 min walk to the train station. 25-35 min on public transport to the CBD depends on the traffic. There are woolies, Maccas, KFC, Dominos and more pubs and restaurants in about 15-20 min walk. It is also close to the Flemington Racecourse if it means anything to you.

It's a 2 bedroom with a small 3rd room which we've kitted out as a study/spare room. There's one bathroom with a separate toilet and laundry. The house has polished floorboards, leadlight windows, ducted heating, split system air con, large private wrap around yard, off street double garage, secure entry, pot bellied fireplace, and a large deck off the dining room. We've been here for three years and it's ridiculously comfortable. There are two train stations a 10-15 minute walk away, and the 59 tram is a 7 minute walk away. The city is 5km away (approx 20min if you cycle). Rent does not include bills which are gas (approx $30pm), electricity (approx $40pm), internet ($27 pm), and a fortnightly cleaner ($30 from each of us). You'd be living with us (Khy 30 and Dan 32), a well trained 6yr old Border Kelpie (Harvey), and a precocious cat (Baloo the Bear). Khy works full time as a physiotherapist, and Dan as a lecturer. We both love food (cooking and eating), are active most days (Dan's a keen basketball and Khy is a wannabe runner), and are very social. Khy has a coffee/wine addiction and Dan has a docos habit. Harvey loves long walks on the beach, balls, and cuddles. Baloo is a cat, therefore he is equal parts sweetheart and jerk. We work the usual weekday hours and some weekends, and are super clean 95% of the time. Harvey has been known to leave his toys lying around, but we're working on that. Although we're pretty busy, we do also love our home time including Housie Dinners (ahem wine nights) whenever a free night arises. I'm moving into this fantastic 2BR Ascot Vale/Flemington house this weekend, and I’m looking for someone to join me and live in the second bedroom! About the property: - Fantastic location - very close to the city, it's a short walk from both Newmarket & Ascot Vale Stations (as well as a Woolworths, a Zap gym and a bunch of great Flemington cafes/restaurants) and there are #57 & #59 tram stops a short walk away. - Very new and spacious! - It has split system cooling, ducted heating, a big kitchen, attached garage, alarm system, separate laundry, lots of living space and even a big courtyard/small backyard, complete with lawn, garden beds and an outdoor clothesline. - I already have heaps of house stuff (kitchen table, fridge, washing machine, kitchen things, potted plants etc) so the place will be mostly furnished, but if you have a couch, TV and/or coffee table to add then that would be great. - Your room is unfurnished and has a built-in wardrobe and a window into the backyard.
