There is a large living room, one large bathroom (plus an outdoor toilet), a dining room and a kitchen with two fridges and gas cooking. There's an external laundry with two washing machines and a Hill's hoist drying rack. We are looking for a female housemate (no couples sorry) who is independent, considerate and friendly. Someone in their 20s or 30s would be ideal. No smokers please, and no pets are allowed. Sharing with three busy females in their 30s; Rowena (full-time worker), Rovena (full-time worker) and Marcela (part-time student and part-time worker). It's a peaceful, independent, considerate and friendly household; we all do our own thing, say hello or have a chat if we bump into each other, but are really independent. In the shared areas we all clean up after ourselves (ie wash dishes straight after cooking) and we have a weekly cleaning roster so each clean the house (vacuuming, mopping floors etc.) once a month. So the house stays clean and tidy with no dramas and everyone contributing. It's a 7-minute walk to Moonee Ponds station (15min from the city) and a 12-minute walk to Moonee Ponds Junction, where there's a bus and a tram straight to Melbourne Uni and other buses and trams going west-east. 3 month stay (maybe more and flexible with dates). The room on offer is large and Ascot Vale train station is just a 2 minute walk away. There is also a bus out the front (472) and the shopping strip (Union Rd) is an 8 minute walk away. Your room has a door that leads to the outside and so does my flatmates bedroom. This means that if you are the type of person who likes to keep to yourself... it is almost like living alone! However, my flatmate is as friendly as they come and would love to have a chat/drink and cook up a storm with you ;) (or not). There is an electric heater that you can see in the picture and it is portable. The unit is well insulated so you won't have to use it much when it gets colder (although, I usually put a towel under the door to cut costs on heating. There is also a small bedroom that functions as a lounge room, but someone is sleeping in there right now so I can't take a photo. It has a fold out couch and there is another large TV in there. Just come and see it for yourself :)

About a ten minute walk or two minute tram ride to Flemington racecourse Coles centre with a medical practice. Looking to get someone in as soon as possible :) It’s a 5 min walk to 82 & 57 tram and a 10-15min walk to Ascot Vale station (which is about 15 min to the city). The room is pretty big – about 3x5 metres – it has loads of storage space with in-built cupboards and it gets lots of natural sunlight. There’s a huge backyard which you can do anything with – you can also paint the walls if you want. It’s an old house, so it’s a bit rustic haha. You’d be just living with me and I’m cool with any age, any gender, any background ect. My one condition is you’ve gotta be clean and open minded. Sorry no cats or dogs, as I have a cat who’s pretty territorial with other cats and is scared of dogs. Rent is per week, but you can pay monthly if you like. Single is 165pw + bills and for couples it’s $220 + bills. Bond is $250. Your potential new home is a lovely old double-fronted Victorian built in the early 1900's. There's a decently sized backyard to relax in and on-street parking is always available (permit-free). The house is a 5 minute walk to Ascot Vale train station, and trains are 10-15 minutes to the city, coming every 5-9 minutes during peak hour. Ascot Vale is a pretty quiet suburb, yet is still really close to the city. Supermarkets are within walking distance (Coles on Epsom Road or Newmarket Woolies) as is Dan Murphy's on Mount Alexander Road. The room is available from now. It is at the back of the house and has a large north facing window. The room measures about 3.1 x 2.7 metres. It can fit a queen bed and a desk / tallboy / cupboard, as per the photos, but you'd have more room if you bring a smaller bed. We (the other housemates) have all common area stuff covered, so things like a TV, couch, dining table and chairs, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine, vacuum cleaner, cutlery, plates etc. are all already bought and available for you to use. You'll just need to furnish your own room. Cost breakdown / Bills: - Rent is due monthly on the same date of each month, i.e. $736.66 per calendar month. - Bond is 1 month of rent (i.e. $733.66). - 6 month minimum stay is desired. - 4 weeks notice of vacating is also desired. - Internet (unlimited), water, electricity and gas bills would be split equally. These fluctuate seasonally but are generally around the $20/week mark.
