ABOUT THE HOUSE This cosy and fresh single storey Carlton terrace gives the benefit of living in a workers cottage home, but with a very recently renovated, well lit and airy bathroom and kitchen. With a tram stop literally out the front of the house (the 1 and 8), and the 96 line nearby, it's a matter of minutes to get to Melbourne Uni, Lygon Street restaurants, the shops and gyms, and it doesn't take more than 15 minutes to get into the CBD. The beautiful Rathdowne Village is about a two minute walk away, with great Sunday brunch spots and very good coffee! There's also lots of cool pubs in the backstreets nearby for a brew. The house itself has all mod cons (except air conditioning, we just use fans in summer) with gas heating for winter. The house is currently fully furnished, however John and I, the two other housemates, are looking to move out soon, we are currently looking but not in a rush, we will probably move out in either July some time, and if we don't get something by the end of July we probably won't move until September as John is going overseas for August. It hasn't been an issue for previous renters as there are two very close by libraries, and we have a nice spacious lounge room to study in too, (4) It is very cosy, and (5) It is the closest room to the bathroom and separate from the other rooms of the house so has more privacy. Once John and I move out the other two large rooms, which you can view on inspection, will also become available and you will be able to choose which one you have and which two you advertise.
