Super convenient room in a big house close to cbd, 10mins by bike from Fitzroy/Carlton/Brunswick. Trams to the city and St Kilda stop two blocks down, so super easy. It's a rarity to hear the other people who live in the building. Other stuff - Beautiful gardens are maintained by a friendly groundskeeper. Wi-fi is included in the cost of weekly rent. Bills and internet included in weekly price. Property has a modest gymnasium with a sauna! Secure entrance building. French doors front and rear of apartment. Private courtyard. Bath tub. Dishwasher. Unfortunately there is no parking space available inside the building, however a permit is easily arranged for about $30 for 12 months. (previously both rooms had been let separately at $180 & $125 respectively) The unit has seen better days and has not been renovated anytime recently (not since the early 80's by the look of it) but is pleasant, homey, full of light and has a nice sized kitchen, living room, a bath/shower and separate toilet and a small courtyard garden. NBN is connected. The house is (mostly) furnished, but the available rooms are not (so you are welcome to bring all your own favorite things) The apartment block is located in a convenient spot, between Sydney Rd & Lygon St. Close to tram route 1, 8 &19 . Bus routes and Jewell train station are just a few minutes walk. The rent is $250 per week (paid fortnightly) and bills are additional to that and shared equally.
