ABOUT THE HOUSE This cosy and fresh single storey Carlton terrace gives the benefit of living in a workers cottage home, but with a very recently renovated, well lit and airy bathroom and kitchen. With a tram stop literally out the front of the house (the 1 and 6), and the 96 line nearby, it's a matter of minutes to get to Melbourne Uni, Lygon Street restaurants, the shops and gyms, and it doesn't take more than 20 minutes to get into the CBD. The beautiful Rathdowne Village is about a two minute walk away, with great Sunday brunch spots and very good coffee! There's also lots of cool pubs in the backstreets nearby for a brew. The house itself is very clean, with a bathroom and kitchen renovated in the last few years. It has a gas stove and oven and gas heater in the lounge room. Two tenants are moving out, leaving a new tenant Patricia, a journalism exchange student from Amsterdam as the person you'll be living with. We are currently on a month to month but have been offered a 12 month lease so the incoming people will join with Patricia to transfer with the outgoing tenants (Meabh and John) and sign the new lease with our agent. The agent and landlord are great, any issues they always resolve straight away, they are very supportive and easy to liaise with. ABOUT THE ROOM There are currently the two big rooms of this house becoming available on Wednesday 27th September. Ideally we want to fill these rooms having the person move in between Wednesday 27th at the earliest and Saturday 30th at the latest. One room is at the front of the house and gets amazing natural light but is not for a light sleeper being near the road. The second room has less natural light but is much quieter. Both rooms have very clean new carpet and have been kept in pristine condition. This house is in an incredible location, right near the corner of Lygon St, close to Brunswick, a very close walk to the 1 and 8 trams, with a 10 minute walk to the 96 and Sydney Rd trams. Being right on the Linear Park bike path it's a lovely spot if you want access to Edinburgh Gardens or Princes Park within minutes as well.
