The apartment is close to the city (tram line outside our door), yet far enough away to escape the hustle and bustle for peace and quiet. The beautiful Lygon and Rathdowne Street hubs are moments away and access to a shopping area (supermarket/pharmacies/post office/etc.) only takes a short walk. The apartment is close to both University of Melbourne and RMIT, and would suit a large range of people. The apartment, itself, is slightly older, but it has been maintained well and our mod black and white furnishing makes for a funky space. (There is room for additional furniture). - Good sized bedroom, with built in wardrobe - Modern appliances and crockery/cutlery/etc. supplied - Bath with separate shower - Balcony off loungeroom, with large windows and tonnes of natural Northern light - Plenty of storage space - NBN access - Off-street car parking.

But it's also walking distance from all the urban amenities of Sydney Rd, and a short bike ride, or shorter tram ride, to the CBD. It's also very near Royal Park station. The room in the photographs is 2.78 x 3.18m and will fit a double bed with a small desk. The furniture you see is mine, but there is an option to take on my flatmate's similar ikea furniture for a fair price. You will be living on Canning St which is the bike highway into the city. Its an ideal location, a 2 minutes walk away from Nicholson 24hr tram and 5 minutes from Lygon st tram. Many shops, cafes and dogs in the area to be entertained by with Rathdowne village a 3 minute walk away!!
Hi there! We're looking for a new house mate for our cute little terrace cottage in Carlton North. 300m from the route 1 and route 8 tram lines, a 15 minute walk to Melbourne University and a 10 minute walk to the centre of Lygon Street and a big Woolworths supermarket. Our house is in a quiet neighbourhood but close to everything you need. The house is furnished and the small bedroom we have available currently has a couch that folds out to a double-sized bed, as well as a desk. We can remove these items if you would like to bring your own bed/furnishings. We have a nice backyard with pot plants and flowers. Rent is paid monthly, and bills are seperate. Bills normally don't add up to too much as we split them evenly between us.
This is a modern, 3 story apartment only 100m away from Lygon St, where both the 1 and 8 trams will take you into the city in 20 minutes. Your large bedroom is the only bedroom in the house with an ensuite. It gets plenty of sunlight, especially in the afternoons and it has it's own air conditioning unit for the extreme highs and lows of the seasons. There is a private garage which will be available if you have a car, otherwise it will hold plenty of storage. The apartment also has a small private balcony on the middle level that gets the afternoon sun. You will need to be added to the lease. Rent is paid monthly and all bills are split 3 ways as they come up. Any other questions, feel free to ask.
The Details: A single room for rent in a fully furnished two bedroom apartment with kitchen and laundry. Room is available for rent for a minimum of 6 months, with the possibility of extending if all goes well. The unit is on the third floor with views of the city from its balcony that is eastward facing. It is nestled between Royal Park and Prices Park, is an easy walk to Sydney Rd & Lygon St., a 5-10 minute walk to Melbourne University, and a 10 minute tram ride to the CBD. About me: I am currently pursuing my postgraduate studies, have recently started my own business, and will be working from home a few days each week. I love outdoor activities, fitness/dance, music, business, finance and investing. I think it would be incredible if my future housemate and I share some common interests, and are able to engage in activities such as watching movies, or heading outdoors for a walk/run, with one another. I am looking to share my home with someone who is respectful, tidy, considerate, and is generally a bit older, more settled, and working full time or furthering her studies. This is not a party house (I am open to the idea of having the occasional party). It is important that my housemate is pedantic about cleanliness as we would be equally responsible for sharing the cleaning and ensuring the place is kept tidy. For those interested, the apartment is open for viewing from the 12th of December onwards. . Strictly females only. Three-storey townhouse located on Brunswick Road. The house is a 5 minute walk to either the 1 and 8 trams on Lygon Street or the 96 on Nicholson Street, which makes getting in and out of the city really easy. Bus stops for the 504 and the 250 are equally as close which makes getting to Moonee Ponds/Clifton Hill and La Trobe Uni respectively quite convenient. The property is just around the corner from the Lygon St strip of shops in Brunswick which has seen a ton of good bars and restaurants open up as the area gets more popular. As the Brunswick stereotype goes, there's also loads of good cafes located nearby. The room itself will not be furnished (negotiable), but the entire living room will be. House has a bbq as well for those summer time needs. The house is managed personally by the landlord which we have found extremely helpful, with faults in the house fixed quickly once notified. Shared spaces are kept clean and tidy. The room itself is on the bottom floor with it's own bathroom and shower. With the other 2 bedrooms being on the 3rd floor, the room provides a lot of privacy and personal space
Room for rent in sunny Carlton North. The house is located on Station St and only a short walk to the 96, 1 and 8 trams. The townhouse has an old charm with 4 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 2 toilets and all amenities in good condition. The room available is the master bedroom with private balcony on the second level for your viewing pleasure. The new housemate/s would go onto a new tenancy agreement for 12 months with the guys listed above with rent being $830 per month for an individual and would $1060 if a couple was to move in.
We have an amazing, room up for grabs in an awesome semi-detached 3 bedroom house in Carlton North. The house is spacious, with high ceilings, grand bedrooms, large and functional kitchen, open-plan living & dining area with big windows letting in lots of light, and a huge bathroom. A creative and social space, the house has a warm and homey atmosphere that has certainly served us all well for the odd wine and cheese evening over the years. Located near the corner of Pigdon and Station Streets, the home is super close to the 96 tram, a short walk to the 1 and the 8 trams on Lygon Street, and is nestled between Edinburgh Gardens and Princes Park. The room: You'll be moving into one of the medium sized rooms, which has built in robes, plenty of space for queen size bed (and desk), ornamental fire place, polished floorboards.
**Please note-between 1-7dec. point of contact will be my current housemate Nigel at email@example.com- email him with any further queries. Step off the busy street and into our inner city oasis of calm and creativity. This surprisingly big duplex is a haven we call home. Lovely neighbours, a fledgling veggie patch, deep divine bathtub, creatively decorated, and ready for new mates-steering our ship into the future. Aye captain! You're ideally 30+, a caring, respectful, spiritually and spatially aware individual, who has their feet on the ground and is financially stable via way of full time work. You're also not a vegan. Good medium sized room with courtyard outlook... It's carpeted. Not an ideal space for pets unless it's in a tank or cage... Let's get a Lizard! You'll be sharing this huge art deco home with me- an artist in residence, and Dani- a part time nurse, part time rock chick-great for a wee chat and can cook an amazing stew! This place is so big it's practically like having your own apartment( with paved backyard)! The kitchen is often filled with music and has all mod cons including cooking with gas, and a tea shelf. The lounge has a very quiet relaxing vibe- has nice morning light. More of a meditation and music space. Within walking/riding distance to EVERYTHING including a sweet farmers market across the road, this location is great for someone that loves all the inner north and cbd has to offer. It's all here on our doorstep! More about us? We're a planet loving carnivores- and consciously consume local produce where possible, we love having a compost and if you like to garden that would be a bonus. I'm often found singing in the kitchen or reading in the lounge. We love a good conversation about most things and enjoy a mix of sharing a cuppa and doing our own things-very independent individuals. Having an environmentally aware household is a priority to us, so if you can't live without your dove body-wash please do not apply! Message me a bit about your situation and PLEASE include some fun facts about yourself if you're seriously interested. I will reply as soon as we can to arrange a meeting- if you catch our attention! Looking forward to the future!
This awesome 2 story apartment is spacious, new and has fab views of Melbourne. It's right on the 96 tram line - yet is super quiet - and it takes just 15 minutes to get to the city. The living area is upstairs with a huge balcony - great for the Summer months - and the bedrooms are downstairs. I love this apartment for its views, quietness and accessibility to all that Melbourne has to offer. AVAILABLE 3 JANUARY 2017: lovely light filled room, completely furnished with built in wardrobe, bed and linen, shelves, bedside tables etc. Sorry, no couples (or 2 travellers etc), pets or smokers. The apartment is in Bik lane, just off Nicholson street. It's an awesome location: * 3 mins (tho I frequently do it in less!) to the 96 tram - which goes down Nicholson st to the city in 20 mins. Then heads down Bourke st to South Melbourne, St Kilda etc. * sneaky back entrance to the 11 (which goes down Brunswick St then to the city down Collins st * a bunch of buses close by (and if you work them out you'll be my BFF!), * easy ride to the city on bike paths We're on the top floor of the building, so there's heaps of light as well as an awesome veranda with a wicked view of Carlton/Brunswick and down to the city (it's killer, and a big part of the reason I took the place). It's basically new - 2 bedrooms, great modern bathroom and fully decked out kitchen (gas stove, electric oven, dishwasher, large fridge). I've completely furnished the apartment, including all furniture and linen for your room. The building also has communal space with BBQs, and lock up storage for bikes. About me: I'm female, in my early 30s - originally from Canberra and loving Melbs. I work pretty standard office hours and try to get to the gym early in the mornings (so no competition for the bathroom). This means I go to bed pretty early on weeknights, and I'm out quite a lot during the week as well. I like to keep the house pretty chilled - no massive parties etc - I'm a big fan of cooking for friends at home, drinking delicious reds on the balcony, and exploring the hood on my bike. About you: Independent, happy to do your own thing but also have a chat/vino after work. If you're interested in food/wine etc (read: cooking, and exploring the local bars/pubs/restos) that's a bonus. Looking for someone of a similar age - professional, able to pay bills and do all the normal adult stuff without prompting. I'm pretty clean, and I'm looking for someone likeminded, who is happy to help out and take some pride in the house too. Happy with short or long term, my current flatmate has been here for 8 months (he's heading back to Ireland) and given the place is fully furnished it's ideal for semi-permanent travelers etc. Bills are split 50/50: * Net - $30 each per month (super-fast, good download) * Electricity - about $30 each /month * Water - about $30 each /month (we get billed for cold and hot water separately, I still don't get why) * Gas is paid by the landlord, so no bills there. Any questions, let me know!

It's pretty spacious and has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms that can fit a queen sized bed comfortably. The area is awesome just on the doorstep there are tonnes of restaurants, cafes and bars. Come by to have a chat and check out the place. Cheers
