Looking to put a household together with folks over 30 who have houseshared a bit in a newly-renovated house in Princes Hill I have already leased. The location is great: short (5-10 min) walk to Sydney Road, Princes Park, Lygon Street tram; short bike ride (5-10 mins) to Fitzroy, Carlton, CBD. The house gets lots of light and is peaceful and chill. Both rooms available are upstairs, have reverse cycle air conditioning, new carpet, built-in robes, one has a built-in desk and a chair and also opens up to an upstairs balcony that gets lots of sun. One is about 3.2 x 3.2 metres ($275); the other is roughly double the size and has an ensuite ($350). Downstairs has in-floor heating in polished concrete and all new furniture. There's a new, comfy queen-sized bed for either room. Ideal if you are new to Melbourne and looking to establish yourself, or just need a place for a month or more for some reason or other, but it would be great to get longer-term housemates who will become friends.
We're looking for someone to replace me in our 3 bedroom place in Carlton North. Its a massive room, with huge built in wardrobes, in an already furnished house (though you are welcome to bring anything you want to add to the communal spaces!). The location is awesome, so close to the city, Brunswick, Fitzroy and most of Melbourne's most happening areas. Yet the street itself is dead quiet, tree lined and so calm. House has a pretty decent backyard, large lounge and separate dining/kitchen. Bathroom has separate toilet and shower cubicle (really, see photos) which is actually great for a sharehouse (no running late cos you couldnt brush your teeth while ol' mate was in the shower!) It's $917 a month, plus you'll need to pay the $1200 bond. Bills/internet are separate but probably end up about $70 a month total. Comes with parking permit, and as mentioned, the rest of the house is furnished. The house is about 8 doors down from the Great Northern pub, plus right next to your usual slew of fantastic Carlton cafes. It borders Brunswick east, with lygon tram stop two blocks away, bike paths galore and Barkley square for all your groceries, very close by. To meet the landlord's criteria we are probably after a full time worker, around a similar age to us. Subject to landlord approval, move in date would be around the 5th of June (flexible by a few days either side). If you are interested please inbox me with details about yourself (we want to know the person who is moving in as we'd love a friendly communal household so if you dont tell me who you are I wont reply!)

Carlton North - Sublet for 4 weeks. 992 AUD pcm, all bills included. I'm going overseas for a month, so I'm looking for someone to sublet my room to. The room is furnished, small but super cozy, I love it! This house has got a great vibe and is absolutely beautiful! We just got the garden going again, yay! There are three bedrooms so you'll be sharing with 2 others. Close to cafes/bars/parks etc and walking distance to Fitzroy/Brunswick and so on. Close to trams 1, 6 and 96. Really is an amazing area! Room will be available from 31st of May.
The apartment is located on Royal Parade situated between Royal and Princes parks offering plenty of green spaces, running/walking/cycling tracks and access to public transport. The number 19 tram line is right out the front door, the 55 tram line & Royal park station are a 5 minute walk away offering quick and easy access to the CBD, nearby universities etc. The Sydney road shopping precinct of Barkley square is also only a 5 minute walk away along with a range of bars, cafes & restaurants.
This place is why you come to Melbourne. In the hipster district, find great restaurants, awesome coffee and the "Thunder Road" brewery around the corner. There is even a salsa bar in walking distance if that's what you are into. The best bit about it is it all comes with convenience and reasonable price. Literally sitting on the tram stop (15min into the city, even closer to the uni) , above an IGA (for any instant grocery needs) with a bigger Coles in walking distance, a park and running track sitting aside the building and also a rooftop to invite friends for a few outdoor drinks. Place was given a new paint job and updated kitchen just before we moved in, so everything is new and clean. It's fully furnished, so no need to invest in any of those expensive set-up costs.
Hello everyone, My boyfriend and I are looking for someone to take over our lease (until end of July). It will also be possible to extend the rent until November if that is preferable. The studio will be available on the 10th of June, and it is located in beautiful Carlton North. The rent is 420 per week (all bills included), bond depends on how long you will stay. It is a part of a house with 6 other studios and it has a big great backyard. We are leaving the country so everything of furniture including plants, sheets and towels will be included. Close to grocery stores, Fitzroy, Carlton and CBD campuses (Uni Melbourne and RMIT) Perfect for couples or good friends :) Cheers! Maren
We have a double room available in our home from the 28th of June (however, flexible with this date), ideally for a couple, but singles welcome, as my partner and I are moving overseas. The house is in the heart of Brunswick on Brunswick Road, between Sydney Road & Lygon St, seconds walk from the 19, 1, 6 trams. We are right next to Barkly Square, super close to the city, and surrounded by amenities. The room itself is very spacious, with a really high ceiling, built in wardrobe, ceiling fan, natural light, and comes furnished if you'd like it to be (except the bed). It is currently furnished with a queen sized bed, bedside table, and two dressers. The house has an awesome backyard with a beautiful palm tree, bbq, and is a great hangout space, along with our cozy lounge. The house is fully equipped with a washing machine and dishwasher. The kitchen is big with a plenty of cooking space, ample fridge space, and even a coffee machine! You will be sharing the house with two others in their late 20s, and we are ideally looking for someone around this age, too. Everyone’s on a different schedule but share interests and have a friendly, respectful, and inviting vibe. We are looking for the usual - someone to add to this vibe who is house-trained/knows how to live with others. The room is $1,400pm, and priced for couples, with a bond of $1,871. Utilities around 50per quarter. So, if you like the look of this place please message me with a little bit about yourselves :) Rent for couple per month: $1,400 (700 each) Bond: $1,871 (935.5 each) Bills and internet paid separately
An excellent, modern, fully-furnished room available in lower Brunswick for up to 4 weeks from the 4th of June 2018. The room is large with huge windows, and comes fully furnished with shelves, a desk, chest-of-drawers, mirrored walk-in wardrobe, and a wonderfully comfortable queen-sized bed and mattress. The house is a modern two-storey townhouse, with an undercover driveway for parking, and a spacious garage for storage (and a table tennis table to keep you entertained!). Inside there is a huge living and dining area, a kitchen with all the necessary appliances, and a laundry complete with a washing machine. The house is in a fantastic location in lower Brunswick. It is a 2 minute walk from Sydney Road (and the tram stop), a 4 minute walk from Barkly Square Shopping Centre (which contains KMart, Coles, Woolworths, and much more), and a 5 minute walk from Princes Park (great for walks) and Jewell train station. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or to arrange a time to come and have a look around if you’re interested in coming to stay!
Hi, we are looking for a clean, quiet, mature (30yrs+) female to replace our outgoing housemate. The room fits a queen-sized bed and other furniture such as; a chest of drawers, desk, bedside table, it is light and airy and has a great view over Royal Park. It has large mirrored built-in wardrobes but will be otherwise unfurnished. The apartment is in a converted Victorian terrace with large windows and high ceilings making it feel super spacious. It overlooks Royal Park, just a short stroll from Melbourne Zoo. So close in fact we can hear the lions roar and the siamang gibbons calling without needing to leave the flat! The apartment complex includes: secure entrance with intercom, shared courtyard, secure underground garage with two parking sports (plus we have a transferable permit for on street parking), bicycle racks, small gym with sauna and a little storage cage. Parkville borders Brunswick, Carlton and North Melbourne. It is surrounded by green space but a stone's throw from several major shopping and cafe strips so its an ideal location if you work for the hospitals, Uni of Melbourne, Monash Pharmacy campus, any of the businesses along Royal Parade or anywhere in the CBD. Transport wise we are an easy walk from: - no 19 tram along Royal Parade - Royal Park train station (Upfield line) - no 55 tram through Royal Park - Bike tracks through Princes Park and Royal Park - less than one hour walk to the middle of the CBD Bills etc: Gas, electricity and internet are split three ways (works out approx $25pp/pw more in winter, less in summer). We have a kitty for shared consumables like cleaning products, toilet paper etc but otherwise take care of our own groceries and cooking separately, with the occasional shared meal, pizza delivery or trip to the local pub for a counter meal. We are linked to the NBN (fibre to the basement) and having had problems with our last two internet service providers we are looking at options for a new service provider and we can negotiate this with the incoming flatmate. We rent through a real estate company so incoming tenants need to fill out an application to the property manager for approval (and pay their $110 processing fee) before moving in. Rent is $939.25pcm on the first of the month ($216.75pw). Bond is $650. The move in time is flexible - by negotiation with the outgoing flatmate. We want someone who is clean, independent, considerate, responsible and friendly, and mature enough to openly communicate with her flatmates about any concerns, dislikes, negotiations etc. Someone who will treat the place like her home (not a hostel) and treat her flatmates with courtesy, respect and friendship. No smokers (or other drugs), couples, pets or short stays.
Hey! Anna and myself (Andrea) are both female students in our early 20s studying full time and have been living in this cosy flat for the last year and a half. Anna is leaving so I am looking for a new housemate to take her place. The room has a built in wardrobe and a large window that lets in a lot of natural light which is great. The room will be unfurnished but the rest of the flat is mostly furnished. The flat is on the ground floor so we have access to a small outdoor area. The water bill is included in the rent, however all other bills are separate (including internet).
Availabile for two weeks only from June 9th. Our place is quite peaceful. Tram stop is very close. Outside the hassles of city. Opposite to cemetery. Cleanliness is of prime importance. Shared bathroom living room and kitchen.looking for a female roommate.

My housemate is moving out of our place in Carlton North and is therefore leaving a large bedroom behind with heaps of built in shelving and storage. Unfortunately no couples as it’ll probably get a bit squishy, and females only. Move in date is FLEXIBLE between 1st of June and 13th of June. The second-story apartment will be fully furnished minus the bedroom. We are located close to Melbourne Cemetery, 100m from the 1 and 6 tram, 5 min walk to the 96 tram, a couple minutes walk from some cute cafes and a 5 min walk from the shops & restaurants on Lygon St so you’ll never miss a cheap movie Monday at Cinema Nova. Also a 35 min walk/10-15 minute tram to the city. The house is set up with lots of storage, washing machine, huge double door fridge, tv and small balcony. It also has heating/cooling. The room is $1,021 per calendar month and bond is $977.50. There will also be a one off fee of $99 for lease transfer (you must go on the lease). The lease is rolling over so you’ll have the place until next June but this could be flexible. Looking for someone in their mid 20s who’s tidy but still a good time. Message me with a bit about yourself and to potentially set up a viewing.
