Gorgeous flat in Deakin with great views of canberra. The flat is self contained, with off street parking, unlimited internet, own living spaces, and quiet atmosphere. Right next to the nature reserve, feels more like a holiday home than an apartment.
This is a unique property, spacious yet homely. Modernised for comfortable living, yet retains the luxury of its past life as an Embassy, with crystal chandeliers and marble staircase. All bedrooms are lockable for privacy and safety and have been furnished with beds, tables and reading lamps. Some have their own televisions, though there is an upstairs communal entertainment room where guests can watch television or one of the many DVD movies or tv series in our library. The kitchen and other common areas provide all facilities for a home away from home experience for people coming to Canberra to work. Everything is provided - you only pay one weekly fee which covers all bills, wifi, use of linen and home cooked evening meals. If you enjoy nature there are walking trails close by or you can check out the kangaroos at close range when they visit the property of an evening. A unique and special place to call home while you become established in Canberra.
Excellent downtown location, close to restaurants and ANU. Enjoy the lounge, balcony and BBQ. Dishwasher, laundry and dryer facilities. Double bedroom has built in desk and wardrobe. Interested? Book an inspection time.
Beautiful cottage in Kingston - period charm with modern conveniences (gas cooking, central heating + fireplace and north facing sunny deck!). The available bedroom is unfurnished and large enough to fit a double or queen bed as well as other furnishings. Two windows provide good natural lighting. There is a large living room with working fireplace, separate kitchen with dishwasher, modern electric oven with gas stovetop (as well as working wood fire oven we’ve never been game enough to use). The current housemate will be taking the couch, so if you own a couch that would be great! There's one bathroom with bath and a separate toilet. Also a separate laundry with washing machine. Ducted heating is perfect to get through the Canberra winter. Huge backyard is great for lazy garden-parties; there is a deck which is great during summer, a fig tree if you can get to it before the wildlife and some space to do gardening or make a veggie patch if you are so inclined. The house is a short stroll to Kingston shops (5 minutes from a great SupaBarn, several restaurants, Muse, Penny University....) and the foreshore. It is directly across the road from large oval and within easy walking distance to the parliamentary triangle (less than 20 minutes walk) though there are also easily accessible major bus routes nearby.
The apartment is almost brand new (less than 3 years old) and is in an excellent location. Close to the Manuka and Kingston shops, the Foreshore, Civic and the Parliamentary Triangle. The room is spacious enough to fit a queen bed, side table, and desk. It has a shared balcony with the master bedroom that looks out towards Canberra Avenue. It is directly opposite the bathroom and shower so is easy to access and will be shared with another male flatmate. It also has a modest built-in wardrobe able to accommodate clothing and extra items. The living room and kitchen are extremely roomy, well lit and can fit a lot of further furniture. Ideally, someone who has extra furniture to bring would be greatly appreciated! The living room also has reverse cycle air conditioning to stay cool and warm however the place is well ventilated and insulated that we rarely use it. The living room balcony also gets a fair amount of early sunlight to enjoy some morning coffee! Please feel free to ask any other questions about the place :)
