We're all active (boys/girls), outgoing and sporty people. We kayak, SUP, run, swim and play all sorts of random sports. You'll quite often find us with a beer and pizza on the lounge having a beer and watching a movie. We're looking for a similar person to come and join in the fun. The room has a double loft bed, desk and chair under bed, cupboard, chest of drawers and hanging space. All you will need is linen for the bed, the house is fully equipped otherwise. We have kayaks, stand up paddle board, table tennis, mario cart, halo, COD, board games a plenty, darts, bar fridge and an Espresso machine. Basically all the necessities. It's a very good house, located about 300m from the water on Iron Cove Bay (it's the next suburb over from Drummoyne). nicely furnished with random bits of colour everywhere. It's fully furnished. Has everything that's needed to live rather comfortably... On street parking is available and is somewhat plentiful. NO ONSITE PARKING. We have dogs :) their names are Busta and Prini, both quite young and active. So if you're not a dog person you can stop reading here! Second to that if you're into night clubbing/partying to all hours on a regular basis, please also stop reading here. Third time lucky, if you're a smoker we're probably not keen (there is absolutely no smoking on premises due to health issue of a resident of the house). It is a home and we all like to keep things reasonably tame, respectful and pleasant. Not to say we live like nuns though... Minutes from the bay run, 400m to bus stop and buses direct to the City/Leichardt/University Sydney. We have a cleaner (she's lovely) and gardener (me) so there is not really a lot of maintenance anyone needs to do which is great for us folk that hate doing that stuff. FAQ's Can I stay short term? YES! However, the shortest I will allow is 12 weeks. Can I bring my dog/cat? No sorry, we already have enough pets. Can my girlfriend/boyfriend or other person share the room with me? No sorry. There's already enough people in the house. The odd sleepover is ok, we just don't want a couple to be living in the house. Can I park my car in the garage if I pay extra? No. Possibly a motorbike. We’ve also got a 30yr old female flatmate who is awesome but works long hours and is often away for her work as a youth worker project manager. Our hobbies are diverse but mostly include skiing/snowboarding all winter, and a mix of caving, cave diving, canyoning and wreck diving the rest of the year. Also in the house is a middle-aged miniature fox terrier (Jack) who is calm, friendly, and very house trained. Jack spending his days relaxing in the sun or occasionally chasing whatever bird dares to land in the back yard. He loves to play and cuddle but never complains when left alone also (not clingy). Basically what I’m saying is that he’s the best dog of all time! We also have a beautiful tropical fish tank to lose track of time staring at (as most people do). Firstly, boring stuff out of the way: *Weekly market rental value of this 3 bedroom house is 1100-1150, as valued by the landlord and Drummoyne real estate, and this is the same value of other houses which are the same, room for room, and are also rental properties in the street. Therefore rent allocation between tenants in the front two rooms (presuming all were occupied) because they are the largest and nicest, should be 400 each. However, as only two of us will be in the house for the next several months, the landlord will absorb the extra cost for bedroom 3 remaining empty. Until such time as it becomes occupied, it will be used as a spare/guest bed and is more then welcome to be used by us whenever we want until then. -For rental consideration for now is the front room of a recently renovated freestanding Victorian Workers Cottage built in 1905, (look at floor plan of house in the uploaded photos, the room for rent size is 3.6mx 3.7m). The house has a renovated bathroom, kitchen, curtains, privacy blinds, stained polished timber floors, marble gas fires for winter and has been freshly painted. -This room is large, a king bed, desk and wardrobe could all fit comfortably within. The rest of the house is a shared zone and more then happy for you to add your own personal touches/ art/ etc around. There is a fold out double bed in the lounge room, Sony Bravia, Playstation, tons of movies, book shelves filled with novels. A separate dining room and separate two desk study room at the rear of the house which looks out over the backyard. -The room for rent in the photos is the one that is almost bare, except for a couple of posters and the single mattress and small desk in the corner, (as my friend has 95% moved out). I should have taken some photos when the room was all nicely set up with gear and a larger bed, but to compensate I uploaded some photos of the second bedroom, (my room) as it is set up to give you an idea of how you could set the space up and the size that it is. -3rd bedroom is going to remain empty for at least a few months, and an electrical opening skylight is installed by the landlord. -Across the road from the Inner-West's famous weekly 'Orange Grove Markets' which you couldn't get any closer to, the food and groceries are delicious. -Huge 3m tall eureka lemon tree in corner of our back yard to keep our water sour and us scurvy free year round :) -portable air conditioners are currently being installed, gas outlets for the rinnai gas heaters which are currently stored in the garage and which we will pull out for winter. 3-5 minute walk from Lilyfield light rail, -Turning left from the house, 30 meters away is the 440 bus stop which runs to Central station through Leichardt and along Parramatta road, this is often how I travel to Uni when I feel like taking the bus, within 15-30 minutes from leaving the house on this route you could be at central station, or Rozelle/ balmain penninsula if one takes the bus the other way. This is the (440) -Alternatively If one turns right from the house, the (470) bus is a 300 meter walk and gets to the University of Sydney within 10-15 minutes from departing the front door. -5 minute walk to the 'bay run,' as well as Leichardt Gym and Aquatic Centre. -There are 5 coffee and breakfast shops, two liqour stores and two pubs within a 1km radius of the house -The photo of the kitchen was actually taken prior to the houses renovation, the floors are now stained a dark -brown black with a satin finish, the walls have been re-painted, and a gas double oven and 4 burner cook top has been installed by the landlord. The backroom that can be seen through the kitchen is the study, which the toilet and laundry adjoin. It has also been painted and renovated to match the rest of the house by the landlord. -The photos of rugs are some rugs I just ordered today for the house, 2x hall runners and that greenish abstract thing to tie in with the rest of the living room and olive feature walls ;)
