My partner and I are looking for a new housemate. I'm a 30 year old school teacher and she is 22 and works in hospitality whilst studying at uni. We have a lovely airconditioned 3 bedroom, 2 loungeroom brick and tile home with large outdoor entertaining area in Minmi. It is fully furnished except for the room available for rent which can come either unfurnished or partially furnished. You would basically have primary use of the main bathroom and toilet as we have our own ensuite. The only time the main bathroom would have to be shared is if there are guests at the house. We are a relaxed couple who are social but also like our own space and respectful of our house mates. We have two beautiful and loving outdoor (only) puppers that everyone adores, unfortunately for that reason we can only consider people with selfcontained pets (birds, fish, etc) Rent is $200/week inclusive of water, electricity and NBN broadband. Lawn Maintenance is an extra $15/fortnight but if you own a lawn mower we could always save money and share that chore instead 🙂
This is a 2-storey duplex located in the heart of Maryland - an 8 min drive from the uni and 2 minutes from the closest shopping centre. There is a gas stove/dishwasher and all the essentials (coffee pod machine is life). There is a nice outside area. We have an outdoor table setting, a pool, and an outdoor pizza oven. It is open and airy, surrounded by houses but they do not obstruct the view. Yards are looked after. Approx. 10min drive to the University or the M1 and around 25mins to Newcastle CBD/the beach. There is a local gym, doctors, pub, bottle shop, chemist and Chinese at the end of the street. Fletcher shops is a 5min drive/15min walk and has Coles, Liquorland, Subway, Dominos, a bakery, a butcher, a cafe and another chemist and medical centre. The garage has a small fitness area (punching bag, some weights, and a fan). Room: The room has a built in wardrobe, timber floors. Pictures shown are indicative of the room not the furniture. It is approx. 3.8*2.9 Bills are included in the rent. However if we change something, e.g. if second fridge is required. Then we may need to add a little more to the bills.
