Hey all, my flatmates recently moved out so I have available two unfurnished rooms in a massive 3 bedroom apartment located on Toorak Rd that i'm renting, and now looking for 2 new awesome people to share with myself (36 year old straight Aussie guy, works in scientific research) *** Please note since the pics have been taken, the carpet has been replaced with brand new grey carpet and the pool table is not longer there anymore *** This apartment is very spacious and comprises of half of the whole floor of the building (It's bigger than a 3 bedroom house). Lots of living space including a large lounge room and dining area, separate full-sized kitchen, balconies that wrap around the whole apartment, and also a massive sun-room (In the pictures it shows a pool table but that has recently gone and the area is now mostly empty, which is perfect for setting up a second entertainment/lounge area. I'd be happy for you to also setup your things in there too to make it more comfortable and homely). The kitchen has two fridges and the apartment also has ducted gas heating to keep warm during winter and centralised air-con for summer. Also I have my own ensuite bathroom, so you won't share your bathroom with myself. I want it to feel like your living here as equal, happy to get you involved in finding the right 3rd person as well as I want us to mix well together. I don't have rules or anything like that, it's just a case of using common sense with keeping things tidy etc. The lounge room has a 65" TV, I don't have netflix atm but I do have a plex server and have been playing around with getting that going for movies etc. There is 1 lockup garage space available if you have a car. I guess we will workout that whoever gets that garage space will pay a little more per week. The apartment building has got a great charm that brand new apartments don't have, it was built before the mindset of maximising profits on fitting in as many tiny apartments as possible into a small area so its much more comfortable to live in. There is a lift and security buzzer downstairs, plus the interior has also been completely repainted white so there is no ugly colour schemes. They don't make them like this anymore! It is located on Toorak Rd, 5 minute walking distance to Toorak Village shopping area and the number 58 tram with a stop is 50m away. It's a great location as it's easy to jump on a tram to get to Chapel St or South Yarra train station if you work in the CBD but also being that bit further away from the action, it's quiet and the place is much bigger than you will find elsewhere. A bit about me; I'm a 36 year old straight aussie guy, moved down from QLD 5 years ago and work full-time Monday to Friday doing scientific research. I like my work and also spend quite a bit of time doing things related to work in my own time at home which keeps me busy. I often also goto the gym or go for a jog after work on weeknights as well. I'm pretty chill and easy going, I don't care about drama at all. I'm a really straight forward person and appreciate the same qualities in others. I understand everyone has their own individual quirks when sharing and try to be accommodating to others but having someone with the same mindset makes a big difference being able to click and get along well. I respect others privacy and the fact everyone needs their own downtime but also enjoy having deep and real conversations too. I also love nature and outdoor adventurous activities like scuba diving, hiking, skiing, bit of rock climbing... I feel like I'm past the stage of getting boozed up every weekend but still like to go out for a meal and a few drinks, I also love to travel and try to head overseas as much as I can.
This is a great area to live. I’ve been here 4 years now and it’s close to chapel st, public transport, Como park and only a short run to the botanical gardens. On top of this the apartment is quite spacious. The rooms, bathroom and living room are all of decent size so it won’t feel like we’re living on top of each other. The apartment also has Foxtel, Netflix and wifi which you are most welcome to use. The balcony also has a Weber so if you like BBQing go for your life.
Hey there, We have a lovely apartment in Toorak and with any luck it could be your new home. The apartment itself has a spacious lounge room, with a decent sized kitchen and bathroom (separate toilet). There is plenty of storage space both inside as well as a garage, with a small outdoor garden area. As for your future room, it is decently sized (fitting a queen bed and then some!) with built in robes and drawers. The room gets plenty of natural light and quite peaceful with windows open as we are away from the street. We are looking for someone who is easygoing, friendly and relatively tidy. a little bit of mess doesn't bother us much. We are always up for a chat with anyone and everyone, but also respect people wanting time out. We have a cat that is quite friendly. This is a non smoking apartment.
