Pretty large 3 bedroom home in the Yallambie/Macleod area. Cheap, tidy and in a great area. - close to public transport, city and la trobe/rmit universities. - 5 minute drive to various shops. Pretty laid back. Just ask that cleaning be shared when necessary and bills paid on time. I have a room available in a 2 bedroom unit. The room is carpeted, has a balcony attached, a double door built in robe and is unfurnished. Extra storage is available outside the room if necessary, or if you have your own furniture there is room in the house to display or store it. The bathroom and toilet are separate, and there is a heater in the loungeroom. The house is looking a little empty at the moment as my housemate moved out and had owned most of the furniture here as he was here for 4 years and I have been here for 1. I have the lease for the next 3 months, with an option to extend for an extra 3 months, which I will find out about before the 5th of October. At the moment the lease will end on December 5th. The room is $140/week not including bills, but if you would like to pay rent inclusive of bills it will be $180/week which includes electricity, water and wifi (no gas connection). Bond is 2 weeks rent ($280), if this is an issue I am willing to negotiate.

The lounge room is very large with a spacious kitchen and dining area. The apartment has lots of natural light, a good view, sun room, and is very close to the bus stop and amenities. The property is very close to the Yarra River and beautiful green spaces. It is also situated five minutes from The Heidi Museum of Modern Art and its associated gardens.
Close to transport and shops- less a five minute walk. Only 25minutes to the CITY. Has a huge garden so if you're into planting veggies theres lots of space. We have chickens so there'll be plenty of fresh eggs. Its a drug free household and we are not a binge drinking household either enabling us to relax and really enjoy what this place has to offer. Theres a Bbq area with seating too so entertaining is not out of the question either....dont mind the occassional wine or beer and with that said, occasional get togethers are more than welcome and encouraged. A really good thing about the property is that even though its a four bedroom house only three people would rent here mainly being 80% of the time. -The fourth is a spare room usually, furnished of course and made available for interstate travellers staying weekends or a day here and there throughout the working week as well, or to backpackers for short term stayz. Nowadays we have family and friends reaching far and wide and try our best to accomodate the needs of others if and when and where we can. Note: its a single-room big enough only for a single bed, or one double bed, but it's furnished and is private too with a lockable door. Inspection will impress as it has it's perks too. At times, we had an interstate traveller who would use the room intermittently all the while working on the garden here, but they have now decided after ten years to base themselves across the border focusing on steady work for the sumner instead. Indefinately also... When it's not being rented by anyone it doubles as a sitting room. Aside from the bed, wardrobe it also has Big couch with loads of books. -It's a nice room and an ideal place to have as a base but it will not be rented out permanently. Just short term and probably just for the times that we need to help pay someone with the upkeep of the garden. - Unless its for other reasons..... Currently it looks like a housemate will move out in the near certain future. We're looking to fill that spare room space for when he does. Then we're hoping you will move into a bigger room and we can re-claim back our old sitting room/ travellers room. We're pretty happy living here but we know it could be better too and are always on the lookout for new ways to improve the place. Recently we added a sofa-bed to the lounge.
