I'm a wellness meditation coach who is looking for a person to share the apartment I use as a workspace. This would mean that you pretty much have the apartment to yourself evenings and weekends (except one night p/w when I run meditation). I'm looking for a mature, respectful, quiet and tidy female who works full-time in the day as I use the space for work during the day Mon - Fri and Wednesday nights for meditation class. There may be the occassion where I may have a client call/ session in the evening or weekend although I would use the private office/other bedroom area. You would need to be open and flexible. The place is fully furnished including what would be your bedroom - queensize bed, built in cupboards, washer/dryer. Cable internet, full kitchen, lounge, dining TV etc. Watsons Bay Beach, park, ferry/buses, cafes outside your doorstep. Short term rental December (with possiblity to extend through Jan). Hi folks! I'm looking for a flatmate for my beautiful, sunny and fully furnished art deco Apartment in quiet Vaucluse from the 15th December for a minimum of 3 months. If you would like to live in a quiet spot that is nonetheless close to the city and right near some stunning local beaches, parks and cliffs, you will feel very much at home here. The apartment is situated up on the cliff near the light house and if you step outside the front yard, you can see Sydney harbour to one side and breathtaking ocean views to the other. The location is spectacular and there's usually a wonderful sea breeze. The apartment is bright and airy and gets sun light pretty much all day long. The floors are gorgeous polished floor boards except for the bathroom (tiles) and kitchen (laminate). The kitchen is fully equipped and looks out onto a beautiful gum tree that is home to some cheeky birds that come and say hello when you are cooking. Although a bit old, the bathroom has a lot of charm and is clean and tidy with zero mould. Out the back there's also a communal yard and an attached outdoor laundry with plenty of hanging space for washing. The block is very quiet and the neighbours are all very friendly and respectful. Your room will be available from 15th December for a minimum of 3 months. The available room is the slightly smaller and charming second bedroom and features polished floor boards, a great sun room with big windows and LOTS of light and recently new paint. It will be UNFURNISHED except for a useful white storage unit from IKEA which is in great condition. I am extremely clean and love minimal and clean decor so you won't find junk/clutter in the apartment. All you will need to bring is furniture for your bedroom. I don't drive (yet) so I rely on the bus and the connections to here are great. There's a bus 10 meters up the road (324 or 380) that takes you straight to the city in 25 minutes via Edgecliff and Kings cross. Just 10 minutes further down the road there's also busses to Bondi Junction and Bondi Beach (380, 386, 387). There's plenty of free street parking right outside the house too! No pets allowed unfortunately. But there are some awesome parakeets in the tree outside our kitchen that love eating pumpkin seeds out of your hand. I take great pride in looking after my home and am looking for someone who feels the same as the apartment isn't huge. My current flat mate and I are very respectful of each others spaces, the communal space and make sure we take care of the house in equal parts. I am very particular about cleaning up after cooking (cleaning the stove after use and wiping up food scraps from surfaces and floor) and not leaving dishes out after use. It seems a bit silly to have to mention this but I guess it's better expectations are communicated from the start. We are a vegetarian/pesceterian house hold and although I have no issue with other people eating meat, I can't have meat kept or cooked in the apartment - Fish is fine! The apartment is not huge and is therefor not well suited to entertaining large groups. My flat mate and I generally let one another know if we are planing a dinner or to have people over, so we can check if it suits the other person. I'm hoping you will value looking out for one another in that way also also. I love coming home from a busy day to this idyllic spot - there's wide open space and the ocean up here and its just so peaceful.
