Hello potential housemate. James & Sarah here. James is Australian and I am Canadian. We are looking for someone to fill the extra room in our house in West Croydon. I have two dogs that are generally well-behaved, a labradoodle and a foxie X toy-poodle, they're cool tho. James works long hours and gets up REALLY early, I work cafe hours and I'm always up at weird times, so it's best if your schedule is similar. I also sell clothes online and sometimes they all spill out into the house, but I'm getting really good at keeping it contained. Days I do markets the hallway gets a bit chaotic. We love a beer or a wine a few times a week, but generally just take it easy around the house. James likes music, I like movies & TV, we both like reading. We like to go exploring when we have the time. waterfalls and swimming holes are the ideal but I'm really starting to like rock formations. We eat most things except gluten (me) and dairy (James) but that's not a choice. We both come from BIG families so we're really into sharing the cooking a few times a week, and we always make sure there is enough for lunch the next day too. We have a Weber BBQ and in the summer we grow tomatoes and other veg. THE HOUSE: One living room with TV, record player, L-shaped lounge which easily fits three people. We also have Nintendo Switch, Netflix, Fetch, and some other stuff that I don’t know about. One dining room which we tend to eat in pretty regularly. A games and computer room with an additional TV and a playstation 4 and other stuff that I don't know about. One bathroom with tub, sink, and shower. One water closet (aka toilet). Laundry room with sink, washer, and dryer. The kitchen only has one sink, which annoys me, but there is nothing I can do about it. There is no dishwasher but we stay on top of dishes. YOUR ROOM: Room Size: 3.3m x 2.1m Lots of natural light from South-West facing window. Has window roller security blind, so this blocks out pretty much all light should you prefer. There is no closet, but we have put in a dresser and a portable A-frame clothes hanger. These items can be removed if you like. A Cafe style espresso coffee machine comes in very handy to start the day! There is super fast internet. The bus stop is at the end of the street, 15min to the city. Hi prospective housemate! I live in a lovely large unit (pretty much the size of a small cottage in Kilkenny in a quiet cul-de-sac. There is a separate kitchen and semi-open plan lounge and dining. With central evaporative cooling and gas heating in the lounge, it's a very comfortable space throughout the year. With tiled flooring throughout the house, (aside from the bedrooms )and a small backyard which I take care of, it's a low maintenance place which I've loved living in. I'm gradually getting more and more furniture as I go - next on the list is a rug, nice modern lights and a buffet/sideboard table. There's off street parking for both residents and friendly neighbours. Lastly it's close to both train and bus services, so getting into town on the weekends is quite easy. I'm not a heavy partier, but have been more into dinner parties and nights in watching the AFL with a mate or two, with some movie nights on the cards. Reluctantly fare-welling the current housemate as she moves into a large studio to house all her film and special effects gear, There is some flexibility with the move date for the right person!
