The best thing about this property is that it feels homely and comfortable. This two story town house is close to Williamstown and all the great cafes, pubs, restaurants & a nice cafe over the road from our place and several others near by. As well as a wide choice of restaurants, pubs & cafes, there are all types of other shops including clothing shops, book shops, banks and supermarkets etc. It is a 10 minute walk to the Williamstown shops. It is a 10 min walk to the train station and a bus stop is opposite the house. A cleaner comes every fortnight and a gardener once a month. There is a double tennis court over the road with night lighting and it’s a quick walk to the beautiful Williamstown beach. There are also great walking/cycling tracks to choose from and we are close to gymnasiums, indoor heated pools as well as Yoga & Pilates studios. Nice and large furnished bedroom available from mid-July, on the 2nd level of a brand new townhouse located in a quiet area and close to everything. The bedroom has a single bed with mattress, a bedside table, a desk + chair, a huge wardrobe + air conditioner / heating and a window that provides ample lighting and overlooks the crocket club and the railway. The window (like all the windows at home) has double glass so even with the train nearby it is pretty quiet. Trains are quite infrequent and are small ones but it is something to note if you are a very light sleeper. The main bathroom is just next to the bedroom and is not very used as we have an ensuite. We only ask you to keep the main bathroom ALWAYS clean and tidy as guests would use it when they are home for a visit. The house is fully furnished (except that we have no TV). On the rooftop terrace that overlooks the city and the bay you will find the BBQ. It takes approximately 20/30 minutes to get into the city by train and the train station (North Williamstown) is within 2 minutes walking distance - very convenient. Buses are also available nearby. Coles and Woolworth are just a 10/15 minute walk away with also cafés, restaurants and other shops/ services close by (gym, hospital, library...). The main beach is only at 10/15 minutes walk. Hi, I am renting out rooms in a grand old family home which is close to "Newport Lakes" and public transport. Rooms are partially furnished and all kitchenware, utensils are provided- you can bring your own bed if you wish. I have 1 room available that is partly furnished. Extra storage for clothing is available and a room is set aside as a store room if you have personal effects that won’t fit in your room. Rent is only $150 per week and the house is close to the CBD and to public transport. The gas heating bill is split between the tenants which should add no more than $25 to $30 per week to the rent in the colder months. I pay all the other bills. Both the tenants I had just left for different reasons recently and I had a new tenant just move in. I still need one more tenant to replace the 2nd tenant that left. There is a large green backyard with a wood fired barbecue for tenants to use and large front and back verandas. The back veranda has a large table and chairs for outside entertaining. If you are a student studying, there is a separate study room available that is equipped with a large office desk and chair. I currently work part time as a disability support worker and study full time at vic uni, Kavs is an Audio Visual Technician and recently moved in this month! Graham enjoys sleeping all day and his main goal is to get as many pats as possible. Graham is a big dog but he is very friendly and gentle, he loves people and he is an inside dog which unfortunately means we cannot take on any other pets sorry :( We are looking for a housemate who wants to become part of our household and contribute to our routine of taking care of the house. There is 1 bathrooms and a laundry with washing machine. There is a patio and landscaped garden in front of the house and a small covered entertainment area outback, which is great for relaxing in the warmer months. THE NEIGHBOURHOOD: We are about 10 minute walk to the Shopping Centre, where there is a local supermarket and a range of other shops. The closest bus stop is about a 5 – 8 minute walk away and it is about a 15 minute journey by bus to the train station. In the other direction, about 10 minutes by car, there is a great fresh fruit market and other local shops and if you like to keep fit, the local pool and fitness centre is about 10 or 15 minute drive/push bike ride away. Cleaning up after you've cooked and made a mess needs to be a part of the normal way that you operate. I don't want you to have to massively change your normal vibe and routine to fit in here.. we need the right person to be themselves that fits. Okay moving on from that.. The room available is large in size, and comes with BIR and is situated at the front of the house opposite the lounge room. This place is an old house that is a bit dingy and shitty but hopefully your vibe will change that :-) We have everything you need for living the life of mediocre dreams, however, I'm still in the process of making it homely so if you have anything to add please do! I've essentially got all the furniture in the house but the room comes unfurnished. In the garage I have a purpose built studio for my music. It is probably 80% soundproof. I've never had a complaint ever and I rehearse in there a little bit both with my band and alone - however sorry to say I'm not looking to have any musicians move in that need to use this regularly. Dearest potential roomy, I have a smallish room available for rent available (refer to pictures) in my house in Yarraville. The house features a medium/large sized kitchen (with dishwasher), living area, laundry (with washing machine), one bathroom, outside decking area, and space to park 2 cars, as well on on street parking. It is located in the fabulous Yarraville, 10-15 minute walk to Yarraville Village and Yarraville Train Station. Right next to the freeway and close to public transport (If you can't be bothered walking to the station, bus stop is about 200m away). I am a young professional male looking for someone fun, chilled and semi responsible to live with. I am very easy going and am looking for someone who can add to the dynamic of the house, not just live in it. We don't have cleaning rosters or anything weird, just operate on a basis of respect and understanding that some areas are shared. Unfortunately due to the size of the house, we can't accept couples; the house just isn't designed for 4 people, 3 is comfortable :) I currently share the house with Karolina, who is from Poland, but has been here 9 years so she's pretty much Australian :) Her dog Sparrow who is a Jack Russell x Terrier of some sort, he's very sweet, my dog Hamish (pictured, absolute legend), and my cat Tiffy (she's a cat). We are obviously very animal friendly, but we unforunately can't take on any other pets. The room is $160pw ($695 per calendar month). Both pics of the room are the same room, just what it's looked like at different stages. Room lease will be 3-6 months, but will likely be available for longer if things work out - happy to discuss! Bills are split evenly every month. Electricity is generally around $150pm ($50pm each based on having 3 people in the house). There is no gas in the house which makes life easier :) Internet is split evenly as well ($70pm, so $23 pm each). Obviously, if there only two people living in the house for whatever reason, things are split in two :) (this has only ever happened during transition with someone moving out/in), and water is about $200 every 3 months ($66pm, so about $20pm each). Put simply, works out to about $15-20pw to cover everything.
