We're going on a 3 week vacation from 19.02.18-12.03.18 and we are offering our private bedroom in a shared townhouse that comfortably sleeps up to 2 people or a couple. They are very busy working and studying though which is why you will have the place to yourself most of the times. The kitchen and living area are equipped with everything you need to feel at home (cooking facilities, dining table, couch, TV with Netflix, guest toilet, AC etc.). We also have a small garden for you to enjoy. We have a garage if you have bulky gear/equipment with you. The complex also includes a pool, gym and barbecue area that you can use. Parking is available in the parking area of the complex. You can reach the city center (South Bank, CBD, Fortitude Valley in 25-30 min by bus (215). A shopping center is just 7 min away on foot (Groceries etc.). The Westfield mall in Carindale is just 10 min away by bus. A couple of nice parks are also close by. The place is perfect if you're just arriving in Brisbane and need a base to get settled and find your own apartment or house. Cannon Hill shopping centre is very close and Carindale 5 minutes' drive and not far from the Gateway motorway. 20 minutes to Manly and less than 10 to Oxford St. New Coorparoo Centre is about 5 minutes. Your bedroom is a good size with a large built-in wardrobe in the NE corner of the house with two large windows. It is the best room in the house. It has an air conditioner. There is a single bed available but fine for you to bring your own bedroom furniture and a small amount of other furniture. The house is recently painted, carpeted and freshly polished floors. A nice big shady back deck for breakfast, meals or drinks. The deck is screened and has bistro blinds for Winter use. Please note that there is one shared bathroom, shown in pictures, but also an extra toilet and vanity area so it is really only a shared shower. There is also a bath. I have exclusive use of a small office but there is another bedroom that can be used for guests. A laundry with a washing machine as well as a storage area downstairs. Clothes drying is under cover. I cover internet, water and most electricity. Please, no dogs, cats, horses or emus. Fish and a small bird would be fine. Definitely no smoking. Bus stop is 3mn away (Route 214 / 215 / 220), and it takes about 20mn to get to the city. And if you're a nightbird, the Uber is about 10-12$ to get to the city :) Coles, Woolworths are about less than 10 minutes away from home, or if you're in an emergency, there's a convenient store at the corner of the street. About the house, it's a mix of student and workers, everyone minds his or her own business, but there's still the casual chat when we bump into each other in the kitchen. About the room itself, the good thing is that there's plenty of sunlight, and you easily feel cosy when you're settled there. The bedroom is furnished, containing : queen bed + built-in wardrobe + bed desk + little cupboard.
