This awesome little town house in valley lakes/keilor east is in the perfect spot as long as you have a car. It’s sheltered from the hustle and bustle at the bottom of a nice relaxing valley, surrounded by a large lake, nice greenery and countless running tracks. It’s only a stones throw from the lake and has ample spots to chill and relax through summer. As soon as you’re up and out of the valley you find yourself on keilor rd to one side, full of restaurants and shops in nth essendon/niddrie and to the other side you find yourself in keilor east with heaps of popular cafes. Dfo is just across the highway and the 59 tram on keilor rd is not far away either making a trip into the city pretty easy! Tullamarine airport is only abot a 10min drive away. There’s currently two of us living here and we’re looking for one more easy going, happy, fun housemate to try and get a fun, social house going. The bigger of the two spare rooms on the ground floor is up for grabs, it shares a large size bathroom with one other housemate on the ground. The room can be furnished or unfurnished whatever suits you best. There is also a single car garage which is mostly free, we use it to store a few tools and have a bit of a small gym setup. I'm upstairs with my own bathroom. Upstairs is the main communal room with the kitchen/dinning and lounge with a large balcony that over looks the valley and lake which we often use for bbq’s or afternoon drinks. $180 is the price without bills but $230 all up makes it easy for everyone to keep track of. $230 includes all bills, normal stuff like netflix, foxtel, nbn internet, plus all elec, gas, water, insurance, ect plus a cleaner that comes once a fortnight to clean the whole house! If you’d like I have a copy of most bills which make a rough price of $50 a week, hence the $230:).

The house itself is very classic, like an old farmhouse. It is an extremely quiet spot, second from the end of a court with no front or back neighbours, surrounded by the Maribyrnong river. A strip of shops and bus stop are close by. It will only be me and you here, I’m using the 3rd bedroom as a laundry room/storage room. There is already a bed in that room so you won’t need to bring one, and the rest of the house is fully furnished
Unfurnished room with ensuite. Available from the week of December 11th. My vacating housemate has suggested she has some flexibilty though and could vacate as early as Mid-November (if she's given enough notice, she's off overseas at the same time so would need to clear out the room before this. It's a beautiful 2 level house with lots of light and greenery. House is fully furnished except for the spare bedroom (a queen bed base is available if required but no mattress. A tall boy is also available should you require more storage). The available bedroom is on the upper level with the living space and kitchen. It has a large ensuite with a spa bath and shower, built in robes and room for a Queen bed. The bedrooms/bathrooms are located on seperate floors and so allow for a little privacy when required. The upstairs is airconditioned and has ducted heating and the kitchen comes equipped with a dishwasher, gas stove, electric oven and a shared fridge. There is a washing machine in a small laundry and a clothes line out the back. There is a garage that has space for 1 car (possibly two small cars, but this theory has never been tested. It's currently used for storage only) and there's space to park in the driveway. Currently myself and the vacating tenant use the driveway and park on street. I'm happy to discuss parking arrangements however. House is also convenient for Tulla/Calder Freeways and Ring Road. So its quick to get to the Airport and into the city. There are resident cats who are very affectionate. They will give you love so be prepared. But because of this there is no space for more pets unfortunately. The cats are indoor/outdoor cats but only allowed out in the backyard which has cat nets to prevent them from roaming. There is no litter tray inside the house as the cats have permanent access to the enclosed space out the back. Some caution would be required to make sure they do not get out the front door.
SERIOUS BOARDERS ONLY! The location of Avondale Heights is only 12 kilometers from CBD. It is a 2-minute drive to Milleara Shopping Centre or a 10-minute walk. At the shopping center you will also find a bus stop there, 8 min (5.1 km) via State Route 39, that will take you to Highpoint City major shopping and Aquatic/gym center in Maribyrnong. There are other buses that will take you down Barkly street Essendon train station too. This is also a 10-minute ride. We have a great spacious lounge and undercover veranda with tables and seats to have BBQ in the summer, a decent size yard, and you will be living with female and male housemates. The bedroom is reasonably spacious also and comes with a study desk.

We are close to the freeway and airport but isn't too loud. 5-minute walk to the local library, shops and a football field. (I'm bad at these things) We have a huge backyard so pets are welcome. A nice deck to have a few drinks in the summer. No house rules just be tidy and respectful. There's also a tram stop almost right out the front with services every 10 minutes which take about 30 minutes to the CBD. The apartment is furnished apart from the empty bedroom, but we could probably fit some more furniture if you have any of your own (those with a sizeable pot plant collection are particularly encouraged to get in contact). We also have a storage cage in the basement if needed. The stay length is flexible and the room will likely be available for a few years for the right person, although I'd prefer a 3-6 month lease to begin with and see how things go.
