In search of a housemate to fill the second bedroom in a cute 1940s place 10 minutes from Sydney Rd. Room will be available at the end of July/beginning of August when my housemate moves back home to Brazil. The room is medium sized, gets lovely afternoon light and looks onto the backyard trees, and is unfurnished; would comfortably fit a double or queen bed plus a desk and drawers or similar. There is a built in robe in the room plus space in the hall closet if you need. The street parking permit is available, or the carport that I am currently using, negotiable. Within a 5 minute walk are: Puckle St with Coles, Aldi, Kmart and all the cafes and small stores you could ask for, the train station and a five stop ride to the city, the bus interchange with several bus lines regularly running to the northern suburbs, the 59 tram to the city via Melbourne Uni and only a few minutes to the weekly Flemington Farmers Market. Queens Park is also at the end of the street with a swimming pool and a pretty lake for picnicking.
Dog friendly light filled terrace house in the heart of Moonee Ponds, five minutes walk from Moonee Ponds train station. It has a small front garden with a front porch, which has room to park bikes undercover. It's about 10 minutes walk to Puckle Street, the main strip of Moonee Ponds. The house feels large and like a lot of Melbourne places are partly redone and partly old. We have all the furniture/whitegoods but there is some space for new. We're looking for a new housemate as our old one shacked up with their partner, and we're gonna miss them. The rent is 520/month (not per week) The bathroom situation is pretty good, there is 1 master bathroom with a bath, shower, toilet, bidet (we haven't used it?), and another colder smaller bathroom with a toilet and shower. All bills are split between the housemates, and we'd also want you to be willing to go on the lease if you like the house (and us). Internet is important, and we have HFC (100/2) cable at the premises which is about 25$/mo/head. For those cold winter months there is central heating, and always seemingly enough hot water. Onto the Bedroom The bedroom is about 3.5 x 4, and the photo of it is with my furnishings in it. It has a very very handy built in wardrobe with shleves, cupboards, and a coat rack! The carpet is a little ugly, but the room is very quiet, with a window and some really good curtains to block out the sunshine.
