Before I get into all the good stuff I'd like to point out that the room is for short term stay only, I (Tyler, the normal occupant) will be staying in Sydney for the Christmas period and will be returning the first week of February (and thus will require you to be moved out by that time, sorry!) all of my belongings will be removed but the room will be fully furnished. So now about the apartment. Northcote is an amazing area to live in, with local shops, cafe's, parks, a movie theatre, small bars, live music venues and a shopping centre all with 10 minutes walking distance it is the most convenient place I have ever lived. I have a 20-minute ride to university every day and pick up whatever shopping I need on the way home riding past the Fitzroy shops. The apartment itself is small but freshly furnished and very nicely decorated (thanks to your new housemate Velichka or "V" as she prefers), it has a very natural feel due to the sunlight and houseplants scattered around. The building is close to 3 different train stations on two different lines which can have you at Flinders station (CBD) in under 20 minutes. There is also a tram line (the 86) right in front of the building too! In terms of amenities -the internet is quite fast and reliable -the apartment has washing and drying machines but also a balcony for air drying -due to it being a fairly new apartment we have no problems with water pressure or heating In terms of the room -It gets quite a lot of sunlight through the day which is nice -It comes fully furnished with desk, book cupboard, built in wardrobe, bed & bedside tables and there is also a coffee table thing that I normally put my TV on (for gaming). The TV will also be left in the room (please don't break it!) V and I normally keep a pretty tidy house in terms of common areas (lounge room, kitchen & bathroom) so it would be good if you upheld that in my absence.

We have an ensuite, so the main bathroom is yours 99.9% of the time (Very occasionally if we have a visitor they might use the loo). 3 minute walk to Dennis train station and Yarra Bend park and ~10 minute walk to the cafes and restaurants of High Street and Station Road. Bills are additional and approx $100 a month (power, internet, water, gas). We tend to have low electricity bills as we have solar power.
Unfurnished room available in beautiful Victorian house in Northcote. Big house with great size kitchen/dining and lounge room. We also have a large sunny deck with a healthy garden, veggie patch and a beehive for fresh honey! Current housemates are 2 guys and a girl: an engineer/musician, photographer/permaculturist/student and an actor/writer. We're all healthy, friendly easy going and like hanging out for a meal or some rock climbing now and then but quite busy with our own thing as well. The house is a two minute walk from fabulous High street in Northcote. There is a great community vibe and lots of places to explore! There are three train stations (Merri, Westgarth and Northcote) close by and the 86 tram that can take you to Collingwood, Fitzroy and Melbourne CBD. The house has a lot of character with high ceilings, wooden floorboards and plenty of indoor plants. There is a large living area with a gas heater that works really well. There is a separate kitchen with gas appliances and a dishwasher. The bathroom has a shower and a spa! There is a laundry with a washing machine which leads to a cute outdoor space for summer hang times. The house is bright and has good heating and cooling, a nice little outdoor area, open plan kitchen dining and feels spacious. The rooms are also biggish with BIR.
