The Home: It’s pretty new and we’re just sorting out where everything should live but we’re very happy with it. Short walk to Northcote High Street, three train stations on two different lines, Northcote public pool, the park and the beloved Northcote Plaza is minutes from our front door. We have a huge living room (pictured) that opens onto the small mostly covered garden, we’ve got a few nice plants, veggies and herbs growing. Kitchen is pretty compact but a perfect size for 3 people. There is a study which is communal and we’re open to suggestions, it has a sofa bed in it for guests. The garage setup is a small workshop that again happy to share. There is also room to store bikes and whatnot. The room is the smaller of the three (and cheapest) in the middle of the house with built in robe and a celling fan. We have ducted heating throughout the house with is pretty quick and warm. The street is pretty quiet, which is great! You can always find a parking spot out the front, we’ve pretty much had three cars here most of the time. Our neighbors are lovely. The number 11 tram is virtually on our doorstep which takes you to Brunswick Street (Fitzroy) in 10-15 minutes and the city in half an hour. The 86 tram is a 7 minute walk up to High St. Merri station and Merri creek are also a short walk away! And if you have a bike, there's the St Georges Road bike path that takes you straight into the city via Brunswick or Napier Streets, and also connects to the Merri Creek trail.
