I am both professionally and creatively active with a great group of friends. I am out a lot of the time, and sometimes away. I am easy to live with and eat healthy food. We cant make too much noise after 9pm weeknights in the lounge, but elsewhere in the house is fine. The bills are seperate. Water, Electricity and Gas. I would prefer a single tenant but couples are welcome to apply. I look after the neighbors dog a bit so I would prefer no pets. A room will be available from 28 July (flexible) in a 2 bedroom apartment. It is a compact place, easy to take care of in a very safe, quiet and convenient area in St Kilda East. Only 2 minutes walking to tram stops. There's a woolworths and a few good cafes only 3 minutes walk. Only 5 mins drive from chapel street and carlisle st, where you can find a whole lot of cafes, retaurants, pubs, etc. You will have the option to stay for 3 months or if you want to stay and commit for a long term (i.e. more than 3 months), then you will have to take over the lease and have your name on the lease. I am going for a 3 months trip, so I will need someone to either take over my room for at least 3 months or to take over my lease. The lease ends in October but current flatmate is happy to extend. If you want to stay for only 3 months you can pay 3 months upfront ($2574 for 3 months) plus bills (internet and electricity only). However if you prefer to take over the lease then you need to be on the lease (there's a transfer fee of $195) and pay for 4 weeks bond ($858) and 4 weeks rent ($858) upfront. The room is currently furnished, but furniture is not included, unless you're staying for 3 months then I'm happy for you to use and take care of the furniture while I'm away. If you want to take over the lease and want to have the furniture, then it can be negotiated. The rest of the place is furnished with no tv, so if you have a tv that would be an awesome bonus! There's a reversible aircon in the living room. This room is the bigger one out of the 2, so it doesn't come with a private parking spot,. If you have a car you can park for free on the street. If you want the private car park, you can negotiate with the flatmate as he still hasn't bought his own car. But if you're planning to have your name on the lease, he will be happy to swap the rooms, so you'll get the smaller room with a private parking spot.

All the neighbors are really friendly and get togethers are organized once in a while to get to know each other. It's only a 4 minutes walk to the tram stop 64 and 5, a 5 minutes walk to the bus stop, and a 10 minutes walk to Chapel Street and Windsor Station. It is a very quiet location even though the apartment is located really close to public transportation. The place has a balcony facing west, a tandem double garage, and washer and dryer. Living room, dining room and kitchen are furnished and have hardwood floors. Both bedrooms have carpet. The bedroom that is available is unfurnished but has a build in wardrobe, an ensuite bathroom and a very big window that stretches across the entire room.
