The house has hardwood floors throughout, it's a vintage place, "period features" (according to the real estate agency), but the kitchen and bathroom have been redone, so everything is quite nice. Stone benchtops, stainless steel appliances, the works. There's a courtyard which will be good for BBQs. This place is in a great location in South Yarra, 7 minutes' walk to the South Yarra train station, just a block and a half away from Fawkner Park, and a short walk to Prahran Market as well. The room itself is very small. It has a shockingly large amount of cabinet space, but as far as living space, not much will fit. However, all the shared spaces are nice and we will make sure the rest of the flat is an inviting, neutral place to hang out. (Note: we haven't moved in yet, sorry there are no photos of the room yet. We pirated these photos from our landlord.)
Literally 30 second walk to Chapel Street, right next to The Jam Factory! Quiet street and large unit for the price and location! Lounge opens onto balcony over looking Wilson Street and all amenities are a 5-10 min walk away - Coles, 7/11, Liquor store, pharmacies etc. The South Yarra train station is also a 5-10 min walk too. Apartment is fully secured and has a lock code to get in. Massive shower and separate toilet so no waiting for the loo when someone's in the shower! Current furniture is my current housemates, I'll be keeping some but furnishing it myself so feel free to bring stuff if you have it, if not I'll be getting it :) There's a heat pump / aircon unit in living area and lots of space to come in and help make it your own.
