Like other queenslander-style houses in Wilston, this house is looked after and kept clean, even though it is a little older. The area is beautiful and it's a very happy space. The house is completely furnished with all appliances, living and dining, and bathroom to share. My name is Lauren and I am staying in one room and one other small 'bedroom' has been converted into a creative studio. I paint in there but if you would like a space to study, play music or games you're more than welcome to use it as often as you like - it's a shared space just as the living room might be. There is under house storage and a washing machine with clothesline areas already here. I have been living in this house for a little over six months and am in love with it. There are polished timber floors throughout, with no carpet and tiles in the bathroom. The living area opens out onto a sweet balcony which faces away from the road. At the moment I have fairy lights, some benches, a small dining table and a herb garden out there but am willing to rearrange anything in the house. The style of furnishing is a little bit retro to fit the theme of the house, and I love anything thrifted or with a story. In saying that, I'm completely open to you bringing your own furnishings of any sort. The pictures included only show one of the rooms, which is the slightly smaller one I'm staying in at the moment. This is because my current other occupant is moving out shortly. The rooms are similar except that the room which will be vacant is slightly larger at 3.5x4m, and has more light as there are two large windows. We live near a train and a small amount of noise carries up from the street but our neighbours are respectful and it's very peaceful here. In your room there are new wooden blinds, and a large standing wardrobe similar to the ones you can see in the other bedroom. We live about an 8 minute walk from Windsor train station, 5 minutes from Wilston, 5 minutes walk to a strip of adorable cafes and coffee shops, and 2 minutes to the homemaker centre with a small grocery store, Dominos, Guzman, sushi, chemist, doctor and pet store. Bills are included in rent but if you don't already have your own wifi we can split that bill. I have listed this space as available in early January but it might be available sooner depending on when the other occupant finds a new house. I have one beautiful 6yo Greyhound cross by the name of George. He loves everything about life, even though he might seem intimidatingly huge at first (which is a huge comfort if you're home alone). He lives outside while I'm out at work and spends a lot of time underneath the house sleeping, and is an inside dog when I'm home. We're a short walk to lots of running paths and dog parks and he's very happy here. If you have another dog or a cat he is very gentle and loves all other animals. We have previously been allowed cats here but I would need to check with the real estate as to whether we can have more pets. Finally, I am a 24yo full-time student studying psychology and art theory online, about to enter my final year of undergrad. I work full-time in data entry/admin but my shifts are usually from around 3pm-12am. I don't have to work weekends but this means that if you like a bit of quiet time you would have the house to yourself a lot in the evenings. I love meeting new people and enjoy living in a comfortable environment where you can bring friends over. In saying that, I'm also usually introverted and enjoy my own company a lot.

It’s very close to the RBWH (you can actually see it from our deck), and getting there is easiest by bus (10 minute walk to the stop on Lutwyche Rd, RBWH is only one stop away). We live super close to the city! Right down the road from the Royal Brisbane hospital so perfect for someone who is working in that area. The three bedrooms are all the exact same size so rent works out perfectly. Large bedrooms with very large wardrobe with mirrors and high ceilings. The house is a old queenslander but in good condition. Great back yard for the dog and activities. Balcony out the front with great afternoon sun. One large bathroom with a standing shower that's huge and a beautiful clawfoor porcelain bathtub! We have had no issues with only one bathroom the last year.
