About the property

These beautiful natural-living cabins are out of the rat race of inner city and set amongst the trees, birds, possums and in the quiet of the Blue Mountains, in a great little village, with all the same room expectations as a typical house or flat, just more open to the outdoors. Shopping malls are only 10 mins on train to Penrith. The commute to the city (1hr) or Parramatta (1/2 hr) on express train which is realistically close timing to many other commute times to work. Yet It is only a 5 minute walk to the local cafes and shops, cinema and park of Glenbrook Village and train station. It is 10 minutes walk to the National Park entrance for a swim in the gorge, or go to the local public pool in Glenbrook. It’s the accessible jewel of the Blue Mountains.

The cabins are opposite each other so ideally you would become or already be friends. Or arrange to have the whole place to yourselves if already teamed up.

The kitchen and living space is dedicated to the cabins.

There is a full cooking kitchen and laundry washing machine and clothes line. So you have nothing to buy or move to set up your own accommodation. It’s all there with savings on day one for buying furniture and other normal household contents.

There is a grassy area in the garden to sit in the shade, or in the sun in winter, and a hammock to laze in to read a book or have a sleep.

There is one shared bathroom.

Tge express train ti the city on the Blue Mountains Line, where if you are studying you almost always get a seat to sit and read/work with a USB power charger, toilets and quiet carriages.

Nice safe area in a nice safe community.

Parking: We are limited in car space with some sensitive neighbours on street parking so we prefer you don’t have a car (or park in the nearby parking lot) however I do have a van or
car that you can rent on a daily or short trip hourly rate (by arrangement) at a really really reasonable rate. This may be impractical but we can discuss. Ultimately, if you are new into Australia you don’t need to buy a car or set up with furniture (buy, deliver, and then move or sell)

About the flatmates

We are still finding flatmates and hope to match the second flatmate (cabin) with the first as like minded and will have the chance to meet each other first.

As for us living in the main house we are a family of 4 living separately to where your cabin is. We have one university age girl and a school age boy. We have been using these for Air BnB for the last year. We are middle age parents. We have close neighbours. We are friendly, like the outdoor sports (climbing and kayaking) and open to trying out sharing our space with more permanent house mates than BnB guests, although you would be more sharing your space a lot more closely with the other cabin flatmate.
We also have a cocker spaniel dog who is well used to getting to know new people. We have chooks and compost and gardens etc.

No smokers (including pot)
