I live on a spacious block in a lovely old wooden Queenslander, close to USQ. It's quite cosy, with a spacious living area and kitchen, a shared bathroom and two toilets. There is also a sleepout with a table and chairs for study and another study area in the playroom outside in the large back yard.
I have just rented a room to a USQ student. The other room available for rent is quite large and has two single beds. The room is air conditioned and furnished. Bed linen and towels are provided. Everything is set up for students.
I used to host international language students and one of the things I enjoyed about hosting was cooking dinners. Therefore all food is included in the rent, along with utilities and a cooked dinner. Students can make their own breakfast and lunch.

My name is Chris. I'm an ex English language teacher living alone. Until recently I had been hosting students for a language school in Brisbane, but that school is now closing, and I would like to continue hosting under a board and lodging arrangement.
The University of Southern Queensland campus in Ipswich is close to my house, and the Springwood campus is not too far away, so if you are planning to study there, my place would be ideal.
I live a fairly quiet life. I enjoy gardening, reading, a bit of artwork and, of course, cooking. I'm broad minded and easy going and respectful of others if that respect is returned and I really do enjoy hosting students, whether from Australia or from around the world.
