I am looking for a place to stay in Canberra while I work in a nearby town for the 2026 school year. I have a pet dog. She is a cocker spaniel, and I'd like to bring her with me and leave her to sleep "at home" during the day while I am working, and hang out with her in the afternoons, weekends etc. So I need pet friendly accommodation.
Ihave been looking at the possibility of renting/ sharing a 2bed+2bath appartment. It seems that some of the nicer buildings with extra resident spaces and shared amenities, tend to be set up with mostly the 2b+2b and so I thought teaming up would enable myself and a flatmate to access the additional common/resident's facilities.
Kingston and nearby suburbs would be closer commute to my workplace.
I like a lot about Canberra and this job opportunity will be hectic, but it will also enable me to really experience the facilities and public institutions in a much more regular and relaxed way. I'm looking forward to that.
