Hey! I'm a uni student also working full time in the APS (no surprises, it is Canberra). I'm looking to move into a shared place with housemates that are up for a casual chat, wine and or episode of trashy TV/Netflix on the occasion. I'm friendly, respectful and clean (but not a clean freak). I enjoy cooking and I love a bit of sport (hockey, yoga, AFL). Flexible with move date too!
Hey flatmate hunters! I'm looking for a flatmate to team up with to find a place. I'm also open to taking a room in an established place. You would be moving in with me, and a 5 month old Border Collie puppy called Pepper. I've lived in Canberra for the past couple of years, working in international affairs. Before that, I was overseas in the UK and Netherlands for a couple of years working with a human rights NGO. Don't judge me, but I'm originally from Adelaide. Being a proud dad to a Border Collie pup keeps me pretty busy. Otherwise, I'm pretty active and love being outdoors - playing sport, camping, hiking, snowboarding (not always well!). I love watching football (round and oval ball), and binging on netflix. I've just finished season 4 of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, so open to suggestions!! What I'm looking for... Ideally I'm looking to team up with one other person to find a 2 or 3 bed place in the inner north or south. As I've got a Border Collie puppy, so I'm looking for somewhere with a reasonable sized (and fully secure) courtyard/backyard, which allows pets and a housemate who likes dogs. I'm willing to pay up to $300pw. I’d like to live in a house that feels more like a home, with someone who's keen to hang out and socialise, but who wont get offended when I occasionally look to chill on my own! I’ve got most of the necessary furniture - though anyone in possession of a washing machine and/or fridgewill be highly regarded! ☺ Give me a shout if you're interested in teaming up to find a flat, or if you think I'd be suitable for your current place! Cheers, Trystan
We are New Zealanders new to Canberra and to Australia. Izzy started her Masters in Environmental Science at the ANU in February (been flatting in a single room in Narrabundah) and Dave is moving over at the beginning of June. Izzy studies full-time and Dave works in sales. We like road trips, camping, and hiking, but also watching movies, going out for dinner, Netflix, cooking. Dave really likes video games and Izzy likes caring about the environment. We've been living together for four years (until the last six months) and have been flatting for 5-6 years so we're house-trained, respectful, and tolerant. We're happy to be social or not, we're good at going with the flow :)
Friendly, laid back, clean and tidy Irish female professional. Relocating to Canberra for an 8 week contract role so looking for a short term furnished bedroom preferably Kingston/ south canberra area and close to public transport. Will probably be spending a lot of weekends back in Sydney so won’t be there all the time.
Hi potential housemate(s), I am seeking a peaceful abode to call my home. I am a born-and-bred Canberran, but have been travelling a lot the last 4 years. However, Canberra has called me back and I currently find myself contracting to the DHS as a UX/UI Designer (points if you know what is). Outside of work I am interested in living a healthy + uplifting lifestyle. I'm into such things as...nature, camping, hiking, reading, writing, yoga, planning my next trip away, climbing, adventuring...you know, all the fun stuff. I'm easy going, easy to get along with (I believe), like to contribute to healthy home environment, will raise my issues if I have one (rare) rather than be passive aggressive (can't stand toxicity). It's important to me to feel comfortable where I live so I'd love to catch up and see if we are a good fit. It's all about the synergies! Looking forward to finding my new home :)
Hey! I’m a college student who works most nights and weekends in a restaurant in Kingston. I spend most of my free time studying or hanging out with friends. I’m generally a pretty quiet person but do enjoy a nice chat from time to time.
Hi, I am 20 years old and am currently employed. I am studying a Bachelor of Justie Studies at the university of Canberra, although at the moment I am taking a break for a few months. I believe that I am a trustworthy, respectable and reliable, as well as a clean and tidy person. I love to meet new people and to be out and about but I also love a little time to myself to just sit and relax. I also love to cook and listen to music. I am a fun but reliable person and I would love to be able to find a place to live. I am happy to be flexible with my moving date. Thank you for your time!
I'm a professional male who has shared for over 10 years (uni days, Gold Coast, Canberra and Melbourne). I'm looking for a sociable house, but also like my own space/quiet time when needed. I'm returning to Canberra for work and am looking to get out and network.
Hi! Looking for a new place to call home as my current place is being sold. I'm really easy-going and have lived in numerous share houses for around ten years, so I'm well trained and respectful of people's privacy. At the moment I'm working part-time at a peak body and also studying full-time finishing my Master of Anthropology and Development at ANU. I love bushwalking, traveling, swimming, podcasts, Netflix binging and eating/cooking delicious food. I'm relatively new to Canberra so enjoy getting out and exploring new places on the weekend. I'm not a big party person, especially during uni semester, but like living with other people and having a chat in the evenings.
I'm looking for a share house in the inner south. I'm a non-smoker looking for a friendly house. I respect other people's personal space and always pull my weight when it comes to housework. I work full time in the public service. I don't have any pets but love animals, especially dogs!
Hello, I have recently moved to Canberra and am looking for accommodation until the end of June this year. I am 30y/o female professional. I am an easy going and tidy flatmate. Furnished room would be great but I am flexible with that. I currently work between 2-4 days per week in Canberra. When I am not working in Canberra I tend to spend time working or with family in Sydney so will often not be around. I am fairly quiet person but am friendly and also like the occasional cofee/wine catch-up.
I am from India and a career oriented person with passion for designing. I am migrating to Canberra in probably August. My preference for SHARING an accommodation would be only with INDIAN GIRLS. Kindly consider. Thanks
Very quiet. Very clean. Do not drink or smoke or do drugs. Always pay rent on time. I prefer my budget of $350 to include all utility expenses, but flexible. Looking at about 3+ months, but this could be longer depending on other things happening in my life. Just wanting accommodation until I either purchase or rent my own apartment. Do not want to be put onto a lease with a fixed term. Happy to go on a lease on a fortnight by fortnight basis. Important: I really need a secure under cover car park. Even if you cannot provide a garage perhaps I can rent a garage space from someone near by. The move in date is flexible with somewhere between 12/05/18 - 26/05/18 being ideal. Message me if you have anything on offer.
My partner and I are responsible young adults looking to move out for the first time. We are both recent graduates from Lake Tuggeranong College. Ben has a full time job and I am currently studying at CIT 4 days a week. We are tidy, non-smokers and we are more than happy to be social with flatmates. I don’t tend to login to this website very much and I don’t pay for it so if you’d like to team up and start a new sharehouse or if you think you have the perfect house for Ben and I, please message me and I'll give you my number. Thanks everyone!
Hey, my name is Jack and I’ve just moved down south after living most of my life around Brissy. I’m easy going, clean and tidy. I get along with almost everyone and like getting to know new people, though I tend to keep to myself most of the time. I work full time as an apprentice air-conditioning and refrigeration mechanic so you won’t see too much of me in the mornings, but I’m always up for company or a drink in the evening. On the weekends I just like catching up on down-time or doing whatever tickles my fancy at the time. My hobbies are rock-climbing, cooking and sleeping (very good at the third). I don’t smoke and I like to keep healthy, so always keen for a partner to go walking or to the gym with!
My name is Dino, I have just turned 32, male Australian Citizen who works full-time in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I'm originally from Adelaide but have successfully worked and lived in Melbourne since 2015. I have just been offered a new role in Canberra, ACT. I am always clean, tidy, professional, responsible, good listener, excellent rent and bill payer who pays on time, friendly, polite, happy-go-lucky and easy going. Always cool, calm and collected, anger is never part of my vocabulary and seeking a flatmate/s who has the same temperament. Knows how to adapt to the person next to me (ie when to be quiet and serious and when to have fun and be social). My closest friends tell me I'm successful, enthusiastic, generous person who makes them laugh. In my spare down time I love to keep fit through swimming, study, read books, play guitar (love my music but I know when to put my headphones on and time it so as not to disturb others around me), cook, play basketball, gym, and go out with best friends some weeknights and weekends. A big bonus if you are into the same sports, look after yourself, fit, polite, don't complain much, great verbal communication skills (you know how to help people without insulting or looking down on them), preferably educated and employed, enjoy going out whether it's travelling, coffee, dinner or nightclubbing and just overall enjoys their life with passion (we only have one life after all) and a cool person to have around. If you're also interested in the same things as me, feel free to drop me a message, I respond to every single one, I'm good in that way. More than happy to meet. I'm the best flatmate you will ever have! ;)
Hi, I am fifty six and get along with people of all ages; most of my friends are in their thirties. I have lived in few share places, with some friends and also did some house-sitting over the last four years. I like to socialise and spend time with friends. I plan to do study next year. In the past I have done counselling, retail, public service work as well as self-publishing five books on Amazon. I like music gigs, art and movies and I guess you could call me a spiritual person. I have been involved in the LGBTQI community and also with the Refugee Action Committee. I am just overcoming chronic fatigue and I have a peripheral vision loss but am quite functional. I hope to find the right people in the right place. Thank you.
friendly, lived out of home interstate with flatmates for 6 years, looking for respectable, similar age house mates :) I cook, i'm clean and tidy, not a huge party animal, always conscious of people's personal space and privacy. Looking to live with one other person preferable, and ideally a room with an ensuite.
I am an easy-going 24 year old public servant working full-time in Barton. I'm fairly busy during the week but enjoy hanging out on the weekend. Hoping to find other fun young professionals!
Hi future housemate, I'm full time student and I work part-time. I'm friendly, fun and laid back who is fun to live with. I'm clean, respectful and I mostly keep it to myself but wouldn't mind to share some quality time with housemate over a beer or two :)
Hey there! I am a young female relocating from Adelaide to Canberra due to a job opportunity. I am an easy going person who is super neat and tidy. I respect personal space but would also really love to share a house with someone who is happy to help me with settling in Canberra. I love music, yoga, and reading amongst other things!
I'm a super clean, pretty quiet Aussie girl who's friendly, kind and considerate. I moved last year from Queensland for the cooler life and I'm loving Canberra. I work full-time that includes 2 weekends a month, plus an occasional shift in a casual job so I'm generally pretty busy and independent. I'm also considering returning to uni part-time next year in the health sciences. I like to live a healthy lifestyle and am outdoorsy. I love cycling, hiking and I can't wait to go snowboarding and kayaking on the lake. When I am home I enjoy the odd night sharing dinner in front of a movie or Netflix. I also often like time to myself to wind down or study so I generally go with the flow with what others feel like doing at the time. I'm certainly no big party animal and don't smoke. I don't have a car at the moment but getting one very soon so near a frequent bus line as well as parking available is also a requirement. I'm staying in short term accommodation at the moment, allowing me a flexible move in date while I await the right place and flatmate/s. I can also supply excellent references from past flatmates and landlords that show I've always paid rent and bills ahead of time and am one of the best flatmates around! :-)
