Hi, I'm Grace! I've moved to Canberra from Perth to start full-time work with the public service. I'm always up for Netflix binges, coffee chats or anything in between. I'm a little bit of a nanna, so love baking, cups of tea and curling up with a good book. Ideally, I'd be looking for a housemate that I can share an occasional meal with if we're both home at the same time. Most importantly, I'm clean and tidy (but not a neat freak), respectful of personal space and down time, and can cook a mean lasagne.
Hi friends I am an Melbournian looking for a place in Central Canberra, starting mid-March. I have a Singaporean GF. I will "blahh" what we are looking for below, so that everyone can make efficient use of their time. COOKING We generally cook our own meals, so the place we choose will have microwave, gas stove and over/griller facilities. I am not a cook/chef so our meals are quite simple, because it beats spending 1-2 hours hunting for meals outside. REDUCED CAR LIFESTYLE We don't plan to own a car and this would factor into our decision making process. The aim is to live within 10-15 minutes walk of a shopping centre with a big supermarket. This will hopefully be complemented by public transport, our own bicycles and the occasional car hire. INTERNET We generally spend most of our time doing stuff through laptops, so a good internet connection is important. CLEANLINESS We are both clean and considerate, and look forward to staying with similarly clean and considerate people too. Non-carpeted places are the best as they are the easiest to clean and maintain and generally do not accumulate...dirt. We can work with carpet, so see how it goes on case-by-case basis. Want to know more? Send a message and we can explore further David
My partner and I are very sociable outgoing people. I absolutely love the kitchen and we love to have house dinners and occasionally like to have a sunday sesh. We are hard workers, love the outdoors and are very tidy people.
I'm a 22 year old from Adelaide who is moving to Canberra in late January for a one year contract in the Australian Public Service. I completed my Construction Management degree recently and have previously been working in Local Government/Council. I'm quiet and easy to get along with and my interests include photography, computer gaming and being outdoors.I cook occasionally, sushi is my favourite dish to prepare. I'm a tidy person who doesn't smoke and enjoys an occasional drink. I fly over on Jan 30 and need to find a place to live by mid Feb. I'll also need parking options for my car.
My name is Kate, I'm 24, and I'm moving to Canberra in January to start working full time with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. I'm currently living in Melbourne, but I grew up in Tasmania, so I have a very keen interest in the outdoors - I love hiking, snowboarding, and I've just bought a bike and I'm getting into cycling! On the weekends I like to either head off somewhere for an adventure, or go hunt down some live music or a dance floor. Some of my favourite things are Disney movies, perfectly ripe avocados, making up Game of Thrones theories, and the smell of clean bed sheets. In terms of my housemate-style, during the week I'm a bit of a homebody; I love sitting on the couch with a glass of wine (after heading to the gym if I'm keen enough) while eating some kind of carb with cheese on it. I enjoy living with people who have got their own things going on, but are down for a family dinner on the odd occasion everyone is home at the same time.
Hi, I’m Sam, a 27 year old fulltime public servant looking for a new share house. I’ve lived in share houses in Canberra’s inner north and south for the past few years. I’m easy-going, tidy and happy for an after work chat or drink. After work and on weekends, I like to check out cafes, restaurants and the sights around Canberra, catch up with friends and watch Netflix. If you have a place or would like to team-up or know more about me, please feel free to get in contact.
Neat, good personal hygiene, great company, hilarious and humble. Moving from Melbourne to our country's fabulous (ahem) capital to further my career and pursue higher(er) education. For fun I like to eat and shop beyond my means, not exercise and read. A bit to much. Kthanksbai!
I am moving from Brisbane to join the public service. I like to think of myself as having the right amount of social anxiety where I'm an extremely considerate flatmate who is still able to share a meal and/or laugh. I come with an excellent vacuum cleaner and am not hopeless at domestic activities. If you like Netflix and sarcasm then I think we could make something work.
Hello 😊 I am a recent graduate from Brisbane and have moved to Canberra for full time work in the public service. People often say I am easy-going and responsible. I am clean and tidy and I also enjoy cooking. I like to get out on weekends to socialise, however I also value quite time. You will often find me at a cafe enjoying good food with friends. And on special occasions you will often find me on the dance floor 😆💃🏾. I love to travel and experience different cultures, so I am very open to meeting new people :) Looking for a place close to my work in Barton, preferably with 1-2 other people.
Originally from Brisbane, just moved to Canberra with the public service. I am laid back and on the more sociable end of the spectrum so I'm not the type of housemate to be locked in my room all the time.
About me: * Artist and blogger * Interested in psychology, visual arts, and personal growth * Committed Christian (but I’m quite open-minded and accepting) * Love hugs * Myers-Briggs type: ENFP * Have Fibromyalgia and CFS What I’m looking for: * Queer and trans* friendly * Tolerant of my idiosyncratic sleeping/eating patterns * Compassionate, empathetic, and thoughtful * Accepting and non-judgemental * Doesn’t smoke, drink excessively or have wild parties * Good communication skills, willing to discuss problems openly If you’re interested in something like this, please send me a message and tell me more about yourself.
I am a 5th year student at ANU and have just returned from 3 semesters overseas. I am a very independent, friendly, relaxed person. I like doing my own thing but also very much enjoy socialising with others. Easy-going and adaptable :). I will be heading back to Canberra in mid January so am available to see the house and meet the housemates from then :). Thank you!
Hi! I'm moving to Canberra to start an APS Graduate position (full-time). I'm easygoing and quiet but sociable. A big fan of live music, red wine, cooking, reading and watching lots of TV/movies. I also enjoy hiking and snowboarding. I'm happy to go out, stay in, share a meal, chat, or relax by myself and give you space :) I'm tidy and organised, and by all accounts easy to get along with. Looking to live with 1-2 other people in an established sharehouse or to setup something new! I'd like to complete my move by Feb 13th but I'm open to moving from the start of February.
I’m Haynes, 23 years old, and from Melbourne! I’ve just landed a full-time job in the APS and I’m moving to Canberra in January. As it's my first time living in Canberra, I’m keen to explore new venues/bars/restaurants and see what the city has to offer. I'm a very respectful, tidy and happy housemate who loves to be social but can also respect others personal space. I don't have any pets or dependents & I'm interested in securing long-term accommodation. Things I like: - Food festivals - Films - Good coffee (basically a pre-requisite to living in Melbourne) - 80’s music - Reading - Hiking/jogging - Cycling Ideally I'm looking for my own room in a friendly house. I’m interested in a long-term rental close to the city or universities – but I’m flexible. Shoot me a message, I’d love to hear from you.
Hi, I'm Kai and moving down from Sydney as a grad in an economics related field. I love to check out cafes, listen to indie and jazz music, read, and play board games (I have a growing collection that is just asking to be played). I'm also learning German and French. I'm keen to hang out and socialise, but I'm equally happy relaxing at home. I have shared happily with flatmates for almost a couple of years now. I'm friendly and keep things in a clean state. Looking for a share place that's pretty central in Canberra. Please feel free to contact me!
I'm a full-time student moving from Brisbane after just finishing degrees in Engineering and Science at the University of Queensland. I'll be starting an Astrophysics PhD at the Australian National University (Mt Stromlo Observatory) in March. I'm very chilled out, mature, tidy, not easily annoyed, enjoy having friendly chats, and exploring all that Canberra life has to offer! I like to keep the house clean, and am very respectful of others' personal space. I'm also pretty light-hearted, and enjoy socialising and having a laugh. I'd be most interested in living with other like-minded students, but also enjoy interacting with all different types of people.
I am a International Studies graduate moving to Canberra from Brisbane to start an APS graduate program (full time work) in the beginning of February and am looking for a room in an apartment/unit/townhouse, preferably with a female roommate (20s-30s). I am organised, clean, pretty quiet and respect the importance of privacy but also would love a roommate to sometimes chat and hang out with after work (over a glass of wine or a movie/netflix) Love to be social on weekends and having people over for dinner or going away on a day-trip. Other things about me: can cook, have lived overseas, am a cat lover, and am into fitness and snow-sports. Happy to bring any furniture or appliances needed! NB: I have an older Burmese cat I would love to bring down with me but its not a requirement.
Hi all, this will be my first interstate move and it is both exciting and terrifying. Im an easy going, open-minded guy, moving from Adelaide to begin a B. Languages at ANU. I've previously done my BSc, Honours and started a PhD, but that fell on its face so now im looking to change it all up and do the arts degree I always wanted but my parents didnt :D Im not only into science but I love ancient history, anime, gaming (consol/pc; roleplayed a smidge), horror movies, languages (Francophile), politics and a bunch of other stuff. I enjoy great conversations (w/wo drinks/cheese platter), even if its just me listening to someone else's area of expertise. Im respectful of others privacy, I know i like my alone time just as much as any one else. Dont have much to bring with me, bed (queen; but can get double), bookcase (with books and trinkets), ps3, desk, chest-of-drawers if needed. But given limited space, I can condense. I travel light, and am still equally excited and terrified to move.
Hello, I work full time in the Canberra area for the govt. my partner is currently studying overseas and looking to rent a room throughout this year. I am very clean and tidy, very keen on keeping fit and enjoy cooking. Very relaxed and often away weekends. Great company and enjoy a beer and getting out and about.
I moved to Canberra last January for work where I got a job as a public servent who works full time (mon-fri). I am a person who likes to keep to them self but also enjoys hanging out with people. I also enjoy cooking, watching movies/TV, playing video games and just relaxing. Thanks for reading.
I'm moving from Sydney to start postgrad study at ANU first semester this year - I'm flexible with my moving date. I'm a mature individual, and I keep everything (but my sock drawer) tidy. I'm easy to get along with and I'm always up for a chat/being social, but am happy to keep to myself in the house if that's the go. I love sports, particularly netball, and am looking to get involved in a new club/team once I move. I'm a music fan (the non-snobby kind), and love to attend big concerts as well as local gigs. I'm open to different locations, though as a Sydneysider who has spent her life traveling and commuting to everything - I'd love to take advantage of the size of Canberra and live somewhere central.
Hi, I am currently living in Turner and looking for somewhere short term (4-5weeks) starting from Feb. I am easygoing and generally quite social, but am also working full-time so will be out most of the day and possibly away on weekends. I am from Melbourne and need to head back in early March, so I am only looking for short-term accommodation. Please get in touch if you have a room, and I would be keen to meet up for an inspection when possible. Cheers!
I'm a former working holiday maker from London, going de facto with my Aussie-Brit boyfriend of four years. Matt works full-time in IT and I'm in hospitality. Both of us are pretty easygoing and super sociable - we usually work, gym and Netflix in the week but love going out and meeting new people on weekends.
I like cosy spaces and inspiring environments and I am most at ease when in nature and/or with good company. As for domestic-me, I like tidy areas and I clean up after myself to make the home clean and enjoyable for others. I'm from Orange, NSW but have been living in Manly, Sydney this year. It will be sad to make the move away from the beach but I am coming to Canberra to study at ANU, ready for a new chapter in my life. My partner is Swedish and we are blessed to have found each other! We like to travel and explore around the coast on our days off, and we both enjoy a good cup of tea.
Hi! I am 24 yr old looking to relocate to Canberra for work and study opportunities. I am looking for a room within the ANU campus surroundings or somewhere close-by and central. I have lived in share house for the past 5 years so I know the drill. I am a clean, outgoing, friendly person. I enjoy cooking, hiking and exploring new places, catching up on tv shows in my downtime, reading. I am more than happy to share a meal, glass of wine, chat but also respect personal space. I am hoping to find like minded flatmates.

I am a clean, respectful and tidy housemate. I have recently moved to canberra to begin a graduate job as an occupational therapist. Hello! 24yo here about to move down from Sydney to start a role in the public service. While not really into partying til late, I love meeting new friends and will gladly have some fun over food, drinks, board games n movies. Most often found chilling on the PC/laptop and listening to music. It's my first time moving interstate but i've previously lived a year in Japan. I respect people's space/privacy and always clean up after myself. I love travelling and visiting museums and national parks - pretty excited to see what Canberra has to offer so will probably spend weekends out exploring when not taking a break at home. Personality-wise I am told that I'm friendly, easy-going and positive. Flexible around moving-in dates however the starting date for my full-time job is in the second week of February. Preferred length is stated as 6 months but is really flexible. Always happy to team up and establish a small sharehouse of 2-3 like-minded people also!
Hey! I am a mature, considerate, responsible and tidy person who loves my sport and is moving from Sydney to Canberra to study. I am very easy going and like to socialise but also keep to myself at times. I would like to move in for anywhere between a week to a few months at the least and then possibly longer depending on the situation :) Although my preferences are listed below, I am with any suburb/location in Canberra as long a there is parking :)
I'm looking for a short term stay (6-8 weeks) before I head overseas for a three week holiday, back for a couple of weeks then off for an extended period for work. I'm a professional, early 40's guy who is active, laid back and respectful. I started work in Canberra late last year, I'm easy going, clean, no mess, no stress, no fuss kinda guy. Looking in around South Canberra preferable Kingston which is close to work.
I am starting my Masters in Economics at ANU from 20 February, and am looking to relocate from Sydney to Canberra in the next few weeks. A bit about me: I am 23 and easy going, looking to move in with likeminded people. I have been sharing with my housemates in Sydney since March last year, so am well versed in the art of share housing. I know when to keep to myself, but also happy to share the occasional dinner/drinks. I clean up after myself always, and contribute to the household regularly. I am easy going, and will be working part time and studying the rest of the time. I also make a great cup of tea.
Professional looking to start a share house with one or two other people. Prefer 30+ and who are clean, tidy and trustworthy. I travel for work a bit so am not always home. Will be relocating to Canberra in Jan 17. Yes, I am in my 40's (insert sad face here) but I am very sociable and am down to earth and love to be able to have a laugh with my roomies. On the flip side am respectful of needing space and downtime. I stay fairly quiet during the week as I am an early starter for work, but do enjoy a wine and a chat, especially by the end of the week !! Love to cook and am happy to share a meal or go to the local ...
Hello! I am 22 years old and am moving over to Canberra from Perth in January 2017. I studied environmental science and geography and am going over to Canberra to start a grad job. I am looking for a place that is clean and tidy with a mix of social and solitude vibes. I went on exchange during uni and did the crazy social (not so tidy) house which I'm not looking for again - I'd just love to find something more clean and chilled out with house mates who'd like to have a drink/chat every now and again but where I can retire to my room and binge watch Netflix. Send me a message if you'd like to know anything more about me :)
Hi! My names Mik, I’m 26 years old and I’ll be moving down to Canberra from Sydney mid-March as I’ve sold my soul to the Australian Public Service :). I’m looking for someone to team up with for a 2-bedroom place with a garage. I’ll be moving out of my current share house with most of the furniture so moving into a furnished place/room in an existing share house isn’t an option for me. On the upside, you won’t need to worry about a fridge, dining table or couches! I’d describe myself as a clean & respectful housemate who’s laid back & enjoys good company. I work full-time as an electrical engineer and outside of work I’m into rock climbing, scuba diving or just chilling at home with a good book. I also dabble in guitar & piano and am always up for a jam. If you'd like to know more about me/are interested in teaming up, feel free to shoot me a message.
I'm 28yrs old, full time employee working in a bank. Clean and tidy, Fun loving, love to eat and travel. Own PS3 and can play games all day. I also have a washing machine, dryer, microwave, fridge which I'm happy to share. If you already have all or any of these things, I'd need a place to store all this. Enjoys music and movies. Looking for flatmate who enjoys similar hobbies. I'm new in Canberra and don't know much about this place and would love to explore. Flatmate who can become a friend will be awesome. I can drink anything but not a regular drinker. Don't like smoking next to me. Love to chat but need quiet time as well. I own a motorbike and will need a secured garage to park my bike overnight. Contact me
I'm a full-time public servant in my 30s, and a librarian, so you know that I can be mature, responsible and keep my place tidy and in order. At the same time I'm quite sociable, and love a chat over a cup of tea or something stronger - and I prefer to live in a place where the people there are sociable and make it a home, rather than just a place where people live and sleep. That said, I also appreciate my own quiet time when I need it. I also like to stay active and creative when I can - I enjoy swing dancing, cycling, a bit of hiking, playing the piano and ukulele (though not too late at night!). I'm not a huge sitting around and watching tv person, though I'm not too fussed if you are. Also like to go out and catch a bit of culture around town - or at least a live band. I've lived around the world, and finally moving to Canberra to call it my home for the foreseeable future, so I'm keen to settle into a place that's right for me - but also right for you.
Moving up from Melbourne to start full time work. Looking for a nice place to live in Canberra, ideally with other like-minded people. Easy going, social, and a non-smoker. Interested in sports, especially rowing, skiing and rugby, and always keen for a chat. Feel free to drop me a line if you think we'd get on. Cheers!
Hi! I'm Kat and i'm looking for a place to live in Canberra in February 2017. I'm moving down from Queensland for a graduate role and am hoping to live close-ish to the city with a few other people (male or female). I will be staying in accom provided by my department from Feb 4th - 21st and will be looking for a place during that time if you'd like to meet in person. I'm easygoing and a go-with-the-flow kind of girl who likes to socialise, but I also like my alone time and respect others need for privacy. I am clean and tidy (but not too obsessive about it) and love to cook! In my downtime I like to work out and explore new places. Ideally would like to live with someone who can be a respectful housemate, but also a friend - the kinda people down for Mexican Mondays, GoT sessions and a drink and a chat on the weekends :)
Hey everyone I'm Sunil and I am due to start work as a public servant in the beginning of February in Canberra. I'll be relocating from Perth and am looking for a place to stay in as soon as possible. I don't have any specific preferences when it comes to housemates and open to stay with anyone. A little bit about me, I enjoy watching and playing sports including tennis, soccer and cricket and up for a jog or a gym session throughout the week. I am working towards being an okay cook (currently a little hit and miss with my cooking) and am willing to do the occasional cook off with my future flatmates. Apart from sports and cooking, I am a bit of a book worm, enjoy playing board games as well as watching TV shows and movies on Netflix and I do the occasional binge watch when I have the time. I am clean and organised and am very considerate to privacy and downtime when needed. I don't consider myself an extrovert but nonetheless like to socalise and spend time with friends rather than spending all my time at home. Lastly I would like to have the occasional dinner and drink with future housemates and I would love to be friends rather than just another person living on the premises. Hope to meet some of you soon!
Moving to Canberra to start Full time employment with Geoscience Australia. I am very social but enjoy and respect personal time and space, also very clean in kitchen and shared areas and expect the same from other housemates, Personal rooms are yours to do with as you want. I am quite active, usually training one sport or another (mostly Judo and Ultimate Frisbee), and enjoy getting out of the house on weekends and traveling, my girlfriend would visit for weekends from time to time I am looking for somewhere reasonably quiet, but do enjoy a drink on a social night every now and then, I am starting to amass a collection of board games. Have lived with and get along with both male and female housemates, and age is not an issue, also LGBT friendly. If I sound like you could live with me let me know, Cheers, James
Am born and raised in Sydney, and am moving down to Canberra for a job with the APS. I'm neat and tidy in communal areas, I'm social, but respect a roommate's privacy and alone time. I'm a pretty active guy and am into my social sports, hiking and camping and big into rock climbing. I enjoy cooking, and am reasonably health conscious. Love a social drink and and evening chat.
Hello! My name is Nicole, I'm 25 and have just moved to Canberra from Sydney for a 1 year contract new graduate job in the hospital. I'm looking forward to exploring what this lovely city has to offer! I love good coffee, wine and baking.
Friendly, easy-going, tidy. Enjoy keeping active and watching sport. Also enjoy social activities and a good coffee.
Fun, tidy and easy-going, I'm a bit of a goofball, I like to keep the house in a reasonably clean state but am not OCD. I enjoy my quiet time but also love to sit around with a beer or glass of wine and have a chat. I have a pet cat who is very good with other animals and warms up to new people quite easily. I'm from country NSW but have lived in Canberra for almost a year now, studying and working. Would love to find a pre-existing place that accepts pets or team up with some people to form a new sharehouse. Ideally would like to team up with 2 guys similar in age who are cat friendly and looking to live in the inner North or South of the city. I usually spend time in the garden or going for walks, reading and I love hitting up Canberra's jazz bars and live music scene for a drink and a dance.

I'm sociable and easygoing, extremely clean and respectful of people's space. I love fashion, food, reading, tv and movies.
Hi future housemates, My name is Richard, I'm 28 and I'll be moving to Canberra in January for work. I'm very laid back and sociable so get along with just about anyone. I keep pretty active, used to be a keen rower and now have a go at just about anything to stop going stir crazy! I've lived in share houses before so I'm happy living with housemates, doing my bit around the house, chilling out at home and respecting each other's space. I am neat and tidy, non smoker, social drinker but definitely not a huge party animal. Prefer to live with like minded people and become friends rather than just housemates.
Hi. I work part-time at a large sporting complex and am also studying honours in psychology. I'm a quiet, clean and easy-going person who enjoys reading, watching tv and movies, sewing and crafty things, playing board and card games and just generally chilling and having a c

My name is Mina and I'm 23 years old. I'm a political science student from Aarhus University in Denmark. In January I'm moving to Canberra to work as an intern at the Danish Embassy. At the moment I live in a small apartment in central Aarhus with my boyfriend. I'm a happy and smiling person. I love to hang out with my friends, enjoy good food, a cold beer or a good glass of wine. I would be a good flat mate if you are the type of person who likes a chit chat around the kitchen table or maybe an after-work beer once in a while.
Hey! Mid-20's female looking for a place in the inner north or south. Easy going, neat, friendly and clean. Love playing sports and always looking for my next micro- adventures. You can usually find me out and about on the weekends and playing in a social comp during the week.
