I am quiet, clean and respectful. I am a full time public servant - so you know I can be trusted. When I come home, I like to sit on the couch and watch Netflix or Stan, and after that I’ll typically retreat to my room to read my current book. During the AFL Season you will be able to find me in front of the TV for every match. I like to go to a quiet cafe on a Sunday morning for breakfast and a coffee - any potential housemates are of course welcome (and encouraged) to join me. I have an adorable cat, who I would very much love to bring along. His name is Fenrir and he is a gorgeous Maine Coon (pics can be provided upon request). He is house trained and quiet - he loves a cuddle. While I would love to bring him, it would not be a deal breaker if I cannot. I am looking to move in with someone, or someones, who are equally respectful of each others wishes, while also friendly and interested in getting to know each other. I have a large television (50inches I believe) and an Apple TV which I would love to bring to contribute to the household; so Netflix binges would be extremely entertaining! The TV is also perfect for the annual Star Wars marathon I do - my favourite type of marathon.
I'm down to earth and like to learn from the people around me. I need a bit of solitude from time to time, but also make an effort to be a supportive housemate. The outdoors, exercise, and conversations over coffee are some of the things that I enjoy most. I'm a small business owner looking to knuckle down for the year ahead. I'm looking to either team up with one or two others to find a house to rent, or move into an existing share house. If you think we'd get along as housemates, please get in touch.
Hey, I'm Kat :) I'm 33 and am relocating to Canberra from Brisbane for work in early to mid-February so am looking for a room (preferably with own bathroom and undercover/off street parking) within fairly easy walking or riding distance to the city. Good public transport nearby would be a plus, too. I’ve been told the inner north or around Kingston would be a good fit. I’ll be arriving in Canberra the weekend of Feb 9th, and looking to find somewhere within the following couple of weeks. I don't have a have a lot of stuff (mostly just bedroom things), so if you're pretty well set up and just have an unfurnished bedroom, then that would be ideal! I'd prefer to share with just one or two others and I'm not too fussed about your age or gender, but I'm keen for a quiet and relaxed home life. I think I'm a pretty decent housemate - I won't use up all the hot water, am energy-conscious, will drive you to/collect you from the airport, and I like things clean and tidy (doing other people’s dishes is my love language). I've never paid a bill late in my life, and will treat your space and things with respect. I’m a pretty early riser and do the normal work and gym thing during the week. I enjoy the outdoors, and will be looking to get involved with some kind of social sport (currently playing mixed touch, fairly poorly but with great enthusiasm, in Brissie). Personality-wise, I am an introvert and do need space and quiet to recharge. This doesn't mean I'm a room hermit, but rather that I am a pro at companionable silence and would prefer to have our home be a sanctuary, with most socialising happening elsewhere. That said, I am friendly, and more than happy to lend an ear if you want to unload about something or just crave a chat, and I'd like it if we did stuff together sometimes (hit the movies, have a drink, watch TV, go on a hike, whatever). Basically, I think it’s important we like one another! I'm left-leaning, open-minded and non-judgemental, and I come equipped with a sarcastic sense of humour. I'm interested in science (I have a degree in Geology), and being annoyed about politics and the state of the environment/humanity in general but also not doing a lot about it. I also enjoy art (though I know nothing about it), am getting back into reading (after having the love of it bludgeoned out of me by the aforementioned degree), adore people watching, philosophical thought experiments (okay, probs only one of these, but still), music, and keeping fit. If I sound like I might be your kind of people, hit me up and let's see if we mesh :)
Moving back to Canberra for full time work in the Sports Industry. Generally a 9-5 job, however will work some weekends and nights here and there also. Originally from Wagga Wagga, but have lived and studied in Canberra previously so lucky enough to know the town and have plenty of mates there. Easy going, very tidy and respectful. Enjoy getting out to concerts and events, catching up with mates as well as just relaxing at home. Looking to move into a share house in late January.
I'm from Melbourne, have been used to living away from home for periods of time. I will be beginning full-time work in February at the Australian Building Codes Board (APS 1 yr cadetship). I am neat and tidy, non-smoker. Enjoy casual sports, travelling, reading and netflix. Looking for a room for ~ 1 year
Hi, as well as being a career public servant, I'm a quiet country guy from northern NSW. I'll be working compressed hours so that I can get back to the farm as much as possible. I'm a relaxed sort of person - I don't mind a chat and I'm equally happy to respect privacy and personal space. I'm tidy and committed to chipping in to help clean up. To be honest, I'm a pretty average cook but a healthy eater. For those weekends I'll be in Canberra, I'm looking forward to enjoying the green space and catching up with friends. But I also don't mind binge-watching trashy TV:) I’d prefer to be within walking distance of work in Barton.
Hi! I'm El, a 21-yo from the South Coast! I'm making the move to Canberra this year to start post-grad at ANU so looking for somewhere close to campus. I'll be at uni Monday through Friday so study will take up most of my time, but I'm super keen to explore all that Canberra has to offer! My hobbies include dancing and hiking, as well as wining and dining.
Okay so a bit about myself, I have lived in share housing before so I definitely know the dill. I’m 19 years old, I work as a dental assistant in Manuka. For fun I like to hang out with friends, eating, movies, drinks all that kinda stuff! I enjoy watching Netflix after work and enjoy socialising over dinner. :) *must be in walking distance to a bus stop too Lauren x
Hi! I just completed university in NSW and will be moving to Canberra for my first full-time job - Intern in Canberra and Calvary hospitals. I've only been to Canberra once and am not too familiar with which suburb to live in - wouldn't mind driving 10-20mins to work. I've lived in university on-campus accommodation and shared house with ensuite bathroom in the past. I am hoping to find a quiet, clean and tidy place with respectful housemates (preferably females). I would be keen for occasional housemate(s) gathering, if I'm not too tired from work. I enjoy exploring new places, going to cafes, and exercising (but sometimes I do get lazy). Looking for places which are flexible with length of stay - I'd definitely prefer not to move around too often, but wanna make sure I really like the place before committing long term. Thanks

Also, I'm not smoker and party animal type. The idea room that I looking for are large room with ensuite bathroom. And the address should be close to my office if possible or 10 mins drive by car or take public transport maximum 30 mins. My office address is 121 Markus Clarke Street, Canberra CBD. Moving to Canberra to start full-time work as part of the APS. Avid photographer, reader, and also looking to get into woodworking in my spare time. Always happy to chat and socialise, but also appreciate and need alone time. I am a very neat and clean person, but also desperately learning how to cook: any help would be appreciated!
Hi! I'm moving all the way from Perth and will be continuing my learning journey as an educator in Parkes. I'm an easy-going person who values other people's privacy, but is happy to join and have a chat over a meal or head out to places for brunch and dinner.
Aloha! I'm looking for a share house or team up with some chilled individuals who don't mind the the occasional beverage/old El Paso taco night but who are comfortable doing their own thing. I'm 27, full time APS, super chilled, tidy, respectful, and have plenty of experience living with different people. I keep relatively active but occasionally go on Netflix/Video game/live sports benders. I also have a sweet couch and fridge to contribute.
I am starting a graduate position with the APS. I am fairly social and open to hanging out or just relaxing at home. I am looking for a place with a carpark to get myself established in Canberra. Am fairly flexible with the length of stay, if things go well I could be happy to settle in for the longer term.
Hi! I'm looking for a short-term rental starting early Jan through till the end of Feb. I'm from Melbourne and will be completing an internship while I'm in Canberra. I'm 23 (in a few days!) and will hopefully be finished with uni next year. I love travelling and exploring new places and spent most of the last year and a half studying in Europe. I've lived in share houses before in 2 different cities, am very clean and tidy, love meeting new people, but also appreciate my alone time. Would prefer a place that's fairly central to the Civic area.
Hi there, I’m about to start a physiotherapy degree at UC as a mature aged student (25) and have recently made the move from Melbourne. I'm looking to make a house a bit of a home, share giggles, chats and have friendly interactions. I am both happy to socialise and do my own thing. I am respectful of others and their space and I'm not a stressful person to be around- love a good glass of red wine. At the moment, I love creating yummy nutritious meals, board or card games, love going out to local bars and cafes to see live music and a bit of a coffee enthusiast! I have a car and will be studying full time to keep me busy and combine with Pilates teaching. Give me a message if you would like to meet up :) Thanks!
