My name is Devanie. I am a 24 year old Sri Lankan biomedical science graduate of Monash University, currently completing my honours placement at Medpace, a global clinical research organisation, where I will commence full time employment in January 2027. I also work casually at Monash Health. My weekdays follow a structured routine. I train at the gym in the morning before work, spend the day at work or placement, and return home in the evening to unwind, usually by watching a movie or calling my family. I place great importance on fitness and healthy eating, and I keep reasonable hours, which makes me a naturally quiet housemate.
My weekends are spent recharging. I enjoy a longer training session, and on Sundays I do my grocery shopping and prepare all my meals for the week ahead. Beyond that, my time goes to my partner and close friends. I enjoy a calm and relaxed home environment, and I am friendly by nature and love a good chat, whether over dinner or in passing in the kitchen. I have an easy going temperament and take a relaxed approach to the small things in shared living.
The values I look for in a shared home are mutual respect, cleanliness, and open communication. I believe the best share houses strike a balance between warmth and space, and while I genuinely enjoy the company of my housemates, I also respect privacy and personal space and appreciate the same in return. Having lived in a share house in Clayton for the past three years, I understand what makes these arrangements successful. I keep shared spaces clean without being asked, raise any concerns early and respectfully, respect the schedules of others, and contribute fairly to household responsibilities. I have paid my rent and bills on time throughout my tenancy and I take initiative around the house. I do not smoke, and I am seeking a lasting home with considerate and likeminded people.
