About me

Hi! My name is Sharmayne from Malaysia. I work as an Enrolled Nurse in an aged care. I also study on the side.

I am looking for a private room with a max budget of $300-350 a week including utilities in a western suburb for myself only, no pets or partner. I prefer to rent long term as am hoping for 12 months with possibility for longer as I'm looking for longevity and stability.

I am pet-free, but would not mind living with a little fur buddy if you have one as they are just such cuties and really a joy to be around. I likely will spoil your baby rotten with toys and attention where I can.

I have a friendly personality with introverted hobbies, reading books, on my computer, and gardening (trying to keep my plants alive).

I like trying new things and I'm an Asian that likes to eat. Sometimes when I'm stressed I bake 🤣. My current housemate and colleagues can attest to the random things I've made and had them eat. Good reviews and feedback so far with no food poisonings, so we are good 👍🏻.

Socialising with whoever lives in the house occasionally. I like keeping to myself as part of my recovery from work as I do usually work night shifts, but in 2026 I'm looking to pick up other shift times as well. Luckily for others, I tend to sleep like the dead, so I rarely wake up to noise.

I am pretty tidy and clean (part of the job I think! ) and rather quiet around the house as my previous housemates and landlord can attest to. I do pay my rent on time. I tend to clean as I go, after using facilities in the house and try to help with any chores where I can. If you tell me in advance, I can plan ahead to clean.

I highly appreciate having open lines of communication as I like resolving potential issues or conflicts quickly before it gets too big.

I am happy to give my current/previous housemate(s) or previous landlords as references on my history as a tenant. I've never had any issues with any in the years I have been renting in Adelaide. Also happy to throw in my National Police Check as well if it helps :)

I would really like to meet future housemates/landlords first before signing a lease so we can actually get a general feel on how we can get along.

I am looking to move in late Jan to mid Feb (before 15th Feb) My main reason for moving out is because my current housemate is moving in with her boyfriend and it's too expensive for me to manage the lease by myself.

I look forward to hearing from you!
