I'm May. I'm from Sydney and my friends would describe me as considerate, goofy, candid, and understanding. In my free time I like to read, organize spaces and eat good food. On the weekends, I often have plans with friends, go for long drives/day trips and occasionally chill at home. I love being in nature, going on late night Kmart and Maccas runs and meeting cool people.
I work in tech full time 2-3 days working from home. My hours are 9-5 so I'm usually in bed by 11ish and up by 6ish. On the weekends it varies.
I'm a pretty social person, but I also need my alone time. I want my house to be a place where I can feel safe and comfortable. I'm cool with parties - as long as people are nice and my space is my own. I'm down to get to know each other; I'm not saying we have to be best friends, but I would like to be able to exist together comfortably eg: watch TV together, hang out, grab food etc because friends are good.
I like to keep common living spaces pretty clean but since I have a busy schedule I can lapse on chores on occasion (mostly my own space as I don't vibe with inconveniencing people) but I'm an advocate for transparency and communication. If there's a problem, I'd 100% rather a conversation over passive aggressive vibes. I'd hate to feel like someone couldn't be real with me about an issue I'm causing. I'm open to the idea of a cleaning schedule to keep things organized too.
My weekly budget is $300 and I'm looking to move in sometime in Feb/March. I would like my own bedroom, ideally my own bathroom but will share if needed and I'm open to living with 1-3 other people. If the bedrooms are sized differently enough to justify different prices, I'm happy staying in the larger or smaller room. I will need space for my desk and NBN as I work from home.
Here are some quirks and relevant information: I don't mind noise that much so all good if you have shift work, friends over etc. I can't stand "the big light" being on (lamps are superior) and I will try and make the house feel as cozy as possible tbh. I'm a social smoker but never in the house. I'm a horror movie snob. I will accidentally lose my keys or phone (or both) in the house on the reg.
