Dear Future Roomie,

My name is Tara, im 27, I was previously employed as a Biosecurity Officer with the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF) at Sydney Airport before unfortunately fleeing DV, suddenly leaving me homeless. The beginning of 2025, My grandmother allowed me to stay at her residence approx 1 year, where my father is currently residing. My father is an NDIS participant with complex mental health challenges. Once i moved into my grandmothers, I noticed Dad being exploited in the community and by NDIS providers, so I became his full-time carer. Unfortunately due to a family breakdown with my grandmother, I have unfortunately fleed from family violence & ended up homeless again, where I am currently in Emergency accomodation. (Theres a litter of kittens, mum & dad who need a home here so i offered to take mum, she is beautiful & id love to adopt her) however, if i cant then thats ok.

I’m now looking for a more suitable and independent space, that will offer me long-term stability, I prefer my own private space/bathroom, although open to offers.

I am a kind, respectful, tidy, and quiet individual. I take pride in keeping a home clean and well-maintained, and would treat the property with the utmost care and responsibility—as if it was my own. I know how stressful it is, finding the right tenants or flatmates, so im happy to provide a rental ledger if required. Stability for myself now, means I can continue looking after my father, in the long-term, which is most important to me.
